Ok, I know what I goin to say sounds stupid but I need to let it out of my chest, it’s not something serious tho
It’s freaks me out how the designs are to similar to my redesigns like…come on
Like, I’m not saying they copying me, I know they didn’t, it was just an coincidence and I wasn’t the first person who used that hairstyle for Ladybug, most people did it but…ekkk
The red in her hair, the ribbons….I don’t know, again, not saying they copy it, but it was kinda weird that happen and how similar they are in that way
Otherwise, I don’t know what to expect about this special, I mean, it just “what if the good guys were the baddies” but, I’m intrigued about this, also because, Hero!Gabriel, I want to see the mothman again
Shadybug looks kinda cool, but again, the red polka dots just…NO, and yeah emo Mari because she is one of the bad guys so she must be emo right? (it’s not an edit, it’s real, you can check it out on Twitter, I like the outfit tho)
Still, I really want to see how Clawnoire (Chat Noir) and Hesperia (Hawkmoth) would look like

she has no idea what just happened but she convinces herself it was the cruelest and most sadistic intentional prank anyone has ever pulled on her

Okay I know I said Chloe was next in the redesign lineup but I couldn't NOT talk about these two! Shadybug and Claw Noir are stupid names, and this movies plot is looking very similar to a re-write of Chat Blanc I did a while ago but never published. So I had to re-design the villains and did a quick piece for their civilian designs.
I cannot express how much I don't want them to change the designs though. The cannon outfits look like they're trying to be edgy sooooooo hard but are middle schoolers. It fits.
I hardly changed Shadybug since I actually like her design, just made it match my redesign sensibilities. But I took away Claw Noir's spikes and instead gave them with zippers in a shade of green to look like slash marks at a first glance. And gave him the mohawk he deserves instead of the mess he has in cannon. Finally switch their eye colors to normal.
Civilian Evil-Mari looks better than Adrien too. She's not great and I thought she would lend better to pastel punk/goth aesthetics since pink is such a major part of her character design. I did keep her edgy hair and pink streak cause it's cute. And I tried to reference her little ascot/scarf in the shape of her hair ties.
Meanwhile, Evil Adrien would just look like Felix. Writers shooting themselves in the foot there. I actually had 3 directions to go with his civilian outfit. The first being leave his design the exact same, implying that more than ever the 'Adrien' is the mask. The second is giving him an outfit like Felix, dark and stiff showing he's still mourning. And finally the one I went with, going in the direction of season 5 Gabriel. Clean, pressed, and polished to the point it looks sterile and uncomfortable. I did give him a (very) light blue turtle neck to reference OG evil Adrien, Chat Blanc. But overall just pale and fake looking.
I was still in a drawing mood so have a "Hero" Shadybug and Claw Noir! I call them Cocci and Wildcat since they both don't feel they've lived up to what their counterparts represent. I'll probably draw/redesign Hesperia some day.
Oh and the "Hero" is loose at best. They're tactics are- less than ideal by the resistance's standards. Okay well- Gabriels standards at least.
Gabriel essentially adopted Marinette after finding out about her home life. Adrien was very surprised to find out his father was actually Hesperia, but they worked it out. Gabriel will occasionally make comments about Marinette being his future daughter-in-law much to chagrin of Mari and Adrien.

So how long do Shadybug and Clawnoir have to live?
Cause I wonder how much the miraculous cut their lives by and if there’s even a way to reverse or slow it down so they could live slightly normal lives
Edit:I kinda also wonder if Shadybugs miraculous ladybugs reversed and fixed her and Clawnoir because someone said she did and I just wanna know but I’m assuming it did too
My hope for the paris special is that ladybug absolutely wrecks shadybug. Like it would be so funny because shadybug is all edgy and probably thinks she’s more dangerous than ladybug but LB is ruthless and if I’m interpreting the plot right shady has never faced a villain, her hawkmoth is a hero and is probably trying not to hurt her and claw noir because he knows they’re kids. But ladybug has been facing a hawkmoth who tells his akumatized victims to obliterate ladybug and chat noir. She’s jumped into the mouth of a T-rex without hesitation, deakumatized chat blanc, and faced chat noir, rogercop, evillustrator, and lady wifi one to four and disarmed them all within seconds. As for chat noir he trusts ladybug implicitly to the point where he jumped off a building with no powers trusting she’d catch him. I doubt claw and shady have ever needed to build such trust (especially since they’re fighting in the sneak peek). It would just be so funny if the the clean sweet peppy versions show up with their cute little pigtails and sunny blonde hair and absolutely destroy their edgy “evil” counterparts.
Call her CATastrophe 🖤💚. Evil lady noire, maybe I’ll do a full body of her someday but we’ll see. Still haven’t seen the special but I heard it’s pretty good.
