THE Kalmia-Yuu bonding arc event perchance <3 (It does NOT bring them any closer at all.)

Anyway, expect her in future events due to her following Yuu around!! Yes she is dancing w Yuu in the pic btw. Totally kicked them out of the spotlight though. Rude. Either way, they’re getting to know each other more, whether they want to or not. Forced proximity except it’s actually planned by one even if they don’t want the other consequences of that forced proximity. what. idk what i’m yappin about actually ignore that.

Word of advice to Yuu, it’s much easier to deal with her following Yuu around if Yuu’re naive <3 Just ignore her overconfidence and underlying tones of condescension, and instead focus on how nice she is!!! Isn’t she so nice to help you with going home?? Because you totally want to go home, don’t you? Yes you do. Lmao. (gaslighting)

Anyways yeah!! She would have a duo with Ruggie, maybe. I’ll post her battle lines sometime! Or update her ref w it!!!

Drawing this was so fun!!! Always a joy to draw clothings from diff eras. Espc flapper attire bc hell yeah women doing whatever they want to forever is a main motto of mine!! I didn’t even try imitating the twst style for this one, but I was deffo more comfortable with it so. Either way, super fun!! Loved participating and dropping Kalmia lore!!!

anyway. ms classic oi villainess. ms tryhard fl. she needs to chill. but if she doesn’t chill i can keep making arts like these!! so i have mixed feelings.

ANYWAY!! experimental piece!! all this made me realize is that i still don’t know how to use texture brushes that look good in my eyes. idk. maybe someday.

And with this, let me drop some lore (bc i’m literally shaking i need to drop some stuff about her i cannot just keep it to myself anymore)

Kalmia fun facts!!

She is relatively close to her mother, and not very close to her father. Despite that, she interacts with her father far more often than with her mother. Her father is a mage and is also the one who supplies her with money. She han’t spoken to her mother since coming to NRC.

Kalmia attended a basic school and had not been taught magic. She just tried her best using other resources and learned it on her own.

Kalmia was extremely popular in school before attending NRC. In that school, she maintained a facade of someone who was innocent and always helpful. It is unknown if the students and teachers there saw through it or not, but her helpfulness was taken advantage of often (as she wanted it to be, so she had no complaints). She has rarely used that facade since coming to NRC (since it doesn’t really work on a lot of them).

With her long-term experience, she has the ability to memorize and cater a face for every student she deems important. Otherwise, she uses the classic innocent female lead face, whether they can see through it or not (as long as she’s sure they’re not the type to go around spreading rumors about her).

Despite her popularity and thoroughly built connections in her old school, none of her classmates have seen her since she started attending NRC. She’s made sure to wipe her past clean and start with a fresh beginning, whether or not her past was made painstakingly or if it was good or not. She’d rather topple everything on her own rather than see someone else destroy everything she’s built.

Her desire for a prince charming and true love started when she was young, but she only got into otome isekai romance fantasy stories and games during the second year of her old school. After that, she’s been obsessively clinging to the idea of becoming the “perfect heroine”.

She’s talented at fire magic the most.

I was SO happy Kiyuu appeared in there!!! But more than that, Jackiyuu friendship in every universe is smth i strive. Although there is only room for one specific Jack in her heart!!!

Time to talk more about Kiyuu!!

She actually has a lot of doubts abt her relationship with Jack, but in a really really weird way??? She got the aromantic doubts out of her system when she confessed to him, so it’s not about that.

Like if Jack liked someone else, she’d happily give him up so he can be happy, but in a relationship herself, she keeps wondering if she truly is the best fit for him?? Like she wants him to be the happiest he can be, so she treats him with care and love (and is extremely clingy, but she’s always like that), but she keeps wondering if he could be happier. And if so, then with whom?

And then she ends of saying stupid stuff she didn’t think of the deeper implications of. She’s too awkwardly honest!!!! But she just wants him to be happy, that’s it!!!!! 😭😭

I cannot wait for the next part!!! I LOVE THIS GATHERING OF OCS AND YUUS TOO MUCH now that i got jackiyuu out of my system, i’d love to draw kiyuu interacting w the other characters!!

1: Wh, I’m not cheating?! Oh, the broom. It’s too small to ride on, for your information. I’m lugging it around because it fits the team aesthetic.

2: Ugh, I got dirt in my heels again. Why am I wearing heels for this event? … Being short is quite a struggle. No, nothing. I can handle it, anyway.

3: I deduced the general vicinity the Pumpkin King should be in based on the hints, but my teammates have started looking at me funny after that. Perhaps pretending it was just a guess was too much?

4: Sophie has circled the well three times. I can admire attention to detail, but I’m fairly certain Yuya’s not there.

5: Hopper’s nails are quite pretty. Shame that he went away so quickly. And that the way I saw his nails were because he almost hit me with his bat. That was on me though, I shouldn’t walk backwards.

6: I got assorted into the witch team because I said that I didn’t really care which team I went into, but I’m slightly regretting it now. I always end up getting competitive in events like these.

Kalmia DID actually get that by playing fairly at the event, but it’s so much funnier if ppl think she has a Yuya radar. BC LIKE. she practically does (only for Yuya <3)!! At some point in their one-sided friendship (?), I feel like Kalmia would track them down and appear out of nowhere just to annoy them and not because she was trying to enact a part of her new-home plan.

I used the wheel to decide where to put her in, and I’m glad it was witch!! My days of drawing Wadanohara came in handy. And then I could also add bits of her galaxy obsession stuff in!!! Miss witch of the stars!! Stellar!!!

Literally. this post by @natsukishinomiyaswife sent me into a doodle spiral. Jackiyuu my beloved i have THOUGHTS about them.

Okay!! So we all know Mr. Jack Howl is that person who goes to sleep straight at 10 PM. Kiyuu the type of person who rarely like. sleep sleeps. She just takes naps everywhere and calls it good because she can’t feel fatigue like others. Therefore!!! The chance for them to actually sleep together is extremely rare!! But when they do, I feel like it’d look something like this.

They probably started with their individual pillows and blankets, but after Kiyuu gets knocked out tm, she starts moving around a lot and Jack would get caught up in it. Ending with this weird cuddling thing where Jack uses Kiyuu as a pillow and Kiyuu uses Jack as a blanket. Kiyuu must be happy!!! Her weighted blanket plan is coming true!!!!

And then I drew some other doodles of Kiyuu knocked out tm (nap version), and this lil comic thing that I drew in my sketchbook that never saw the light of day until now.

anyway. in honor of loungewear coming up. jack howl i love you i miss you i hope u have the best night’s sleep ily.

due to popular demand (literally this one person asked) i’ve created a quick kiyuu loungewear sketch!!!

she fr is the type to bring her blanket everywhere when in her house. She literally has this special short/small blanket that wraps around her shoulders to her waist only. NOT a shawl though it’s an actual blanket.

TY FOR THE ASK BTW ANONIE MUAH <333 literally gave me motivation to give kiyuu some comfy wear. NOW I CAN DRAW HER IN AN OVERSIZED SWEATER!!! DELIGHTFUL!!!!!

As always, she has her ribbon on, but fun fact! She takes it off when sleeping/not meeting ppl. Her ribbon’s mostly worn because it’s what she arrived with and therefore is a part of her identity that she wants people to see. It’s like an object that she uses to say “This is a part of Kiyuu!! This is a defining feature of mine!! Please recognize me in this way. Please remember me in this way.”

Anyways. I’m going to make Jack(iyuu) fanart w the new loungewear now. HAVE U SEEN HIM (if you follow spoilers)??? I LOVE HIM. HE’S SO CUTE. but more than that i want his cardigan soooooo bad. someone make him real so i can steal it.
