I thought I had, but then realized the way I “crushed” on people was different from how my classmates did? As in... for them there were romantic feelings and/or lust involved where for me there wasn't.
And looking back at each one of my “crushes”, it just seems like I wanted to be friends with them/enjoyed being friends with them. So yeah... nah.

my understanding of crushes growing up was like:
being happy and comfortable around someone of the opposite sex and wanting to spend time with them lol
and it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that it wasn't just that
because 1) I never felt romantic attraction to begin with and didn't understand what it was like of course
and 2) that idea that women and men can't just be just friends unless one of them is gay
so I felt the same way about girls and boys I got along with. but because one group was the opposite sex I thought it meant something else
