Your art doesn’t have to be done on time and you don’t have to do all prompts. First and foremost, have fun!

Since this month ends with Halloween, I expect some art may involve horror themes, and if so, will be tagged appropriately. This is an appeal especially to writers, as I’m not sure I’ll be able to read every single piece, to tag your works with proper warnings, please.

First prompt of @tmntober-2023: Warm-up.

These guys are just warming up for training. Johnny Ghost is warming wrong and Donnie is trying to correct him. And of course, Ghost isn’t having any of it.

Also: Blue mentioned on our old blog how the turtles were getting redesigned for this AU. Well here they are! Leo stayed mostly traditional for some obvious reasons.

And of course, the rest of PIE is laughing in the background at how Ghost is refusing to acknowledge that he’s wrong. He’s convinced himself everyone else is wrong, even though the turtles have been training for 15 years.

Prompt 2 of @tmntober-2023: Eyes

Decided to draw the main team (minus the villains who shall later join >:3) with their eye colors. There’s actually a wide variation of eye colors amongst them. Not to mention Jimmy’s red eyes, DG’s orange eyes, and DT’s purple eyes. All the dark turtles are still being designed so… yeah.

Btw I’m convinced that the team shares 1 braincell and Chris/Colon and Leo hold on to 45% each and the rest of the team splits that 10% amongst each other.

Day 3 @tmntober-2023 prompt: Teeth

I believe Blue doesn’t give DG (Dark Ghost) and DT (Dark Toast) enough love in this AU. Honestly.

Also friendly reminder that while DG may be cute, they are still an alien that could destroy the entire planet if they really wanted to.

Here’s hoping DT remains safe with his spouse having teeth like that.

@tmntober-2023 day 4: Bones

Finally I drew the Shredder… holy shit I’ve been wanting to draw my rendition of him for this AU for so long.

This shredder is a demon. Heavily based on the Tengu Shredder from TMNT 2003. He has two demon children: twins named Karai and Jimmy (who later changed his last name to Casket to sound scarier). His backstory is also very similar to the ‘03 Tengu Shredder, except he is the original Tengu.

Ch’Rel still exists in this AU too and is the leader of the Kraang, a group of Utrom who are rebelling due to their own selfish wants to rule or destroy everything. He dons the Shredder name for a brief moment before being killed once the real Shredder finds out.

There’s a lot to this AU that I haven’t shared because I want to keep things secret so people can be surprised by certain things. This was fun!

Today’s @tmntober-2023 prompt: Act

Decided to make 2 parts to this. We got the turtles dressing up and acting as PIE, and the PIE team putting on the masks and asking like them. All but Chris and Leo though. Both of them are confused and want no real part in whatever it is they’re doing.

Unintentionally made Toast scary… he really is Bishop’s son, huh?

@tmntober-2023 prompt 6: Improvised weapon.

Remember the episode of 2003 where they used cleaning supplies as weapons? Well, there is an arc similar to that and guess what? Ghost gets stuck with a feather duster as his weapon.

Why? Cuz it’s funny. Also they took Ghost’s hoodie for some reason I can’t remember.

Also sorry that it’s a few days late. We completely forgot about TMNTober until recently…

@tmntober-2023 prompt 7: begrudging alliance.

This works perfectly for the Toast twins during the start of this AU. Toast doesn’t actually hate Gavin, but he is angered by Gavin’s blinding hatred towards him.

What’s the alliance for? Idk. Probably to stop the gang wars or maybe Gavin is defecting from the purple dragons? Who knows.

All I know is that this prompt is perfect for these two.

Caught up on @tmntober-2023 with today’s prompt: What a tragedy!

So of course, had to draw CBF. In this AU, it’s a robot who follows the gang around, specifically calling Ghost “Gregory,” but having no real attachment to anyone else in the group.

I never actually explained who CBF is in my AU, so I’ll do that now!

CBF is the robot’s nickname, but it was once a man named Charlie Benjamin Foster, a guardian of the Utrom and the father of Johnny (Ghost), Sam, and Julie Ghost. He was also a member of the Ninja Tribunal’s highest acolytes, before he decided to join the Utrom. The Tribunal left him to die.

The cause of his death? Shredder.

The Utrom felt bad for him, so they transferred his consciousness into the robot CBF. However, he was eventually “abandoned” on an unknown planet when the Kraang came in and tried to destroy him. He was badly damaged, and had no memory outside of his nickname of CBF.

Fast forward several years, and Ghost runs in to CBF when the team is accidentally transported to a different planet. Since the Ghost kids were young when he died (Ghost was almost 3 and the twins weren’t even born yet), they have no memory of him either.

CBF eventually does give his life for his children after he eventually regains his memories, but it is sad that he never truly got to spend time with them as their father or tell their mother how sorry he is that he died so young and left her to raise 3 children on her own.

Also: CBF calls Ghost “Gregory” because that’s actually Ghost’s middle name. If he had been a cisgender male, he would have the name Gregory because his dad really liked that name. It’s one of the only things CBF remembers about his life before being a rusty old robot.

Mutant Toast! Mutant Toast! Mutant Toast being protective of his boyfriend crush best friend!

Kinda gonna change the mutant arc a bit. Of course I’d have to actually write out the AU to actually be able to show the arc, but oh well. Also, man is MASSIVE as a mutant. Ghost is 5’5 in the AU, just for some comparison. Toast is actually 6’1, being the tallest of the gang already. He’s at Ghost’s shoulder when on all fours! Imagine how big this guy is when he’s actually standing up!

@tmntober-2023 day 10: under appreciated non-turtles!

Have John Bishop! Or as he’s named in my AU, John Bishop Toast.

Yeah. Bishop is Toast and Gavin’s “father.” Sort of father anyway… one could technically also call him their older brother.

He is similar to the 2003 version of him, and has a lovely cloning hobby on the side. That’s where Toast and Gavin come from. Their both Bishop’s clones who he raised as his sons due to seeing potential in the two super soldiers.

There is also a lot more to him that I won’t get in to now, but I felt like sharing that fact about him and the Toast twins’ connection.

Reminder that Blue is still working on this fic that is relevant to the previous iteration of the TMNTPIE AU (back in 2016) and is a rewrite of the first fic.

It’s not relevant to the current TMNTPIE AU, but it is still relevant if you wanna know the characters of Dark Ghost and Dark Toast because the two of them will be appearing in the current TMNTPIE AU

I have a question about your mutant Toast:

Is he able to be petted?

Technically, yes he can! But definitely not at first.

Toast was mutated by a different mutagen than what mutated the turtles and was used to make Spooker. This mutagen was created by his “dad” and accidentally created this horrible outbreak of mutants that the Utrom and Ninja Tribunal were unable to control (unlike the previous outbreaks which resulted in the turtles).

When Toast is first mutated, he’s in an immense state of panic, fear, and pain. He didn’t know what was going on, and the mutation was extremely painful and slow. It took a few hours for him to fully mutate. So, because of that, he acts more like a frightened wild animal. He recognizes people later and tries to protect them, but at first he’s in “I’m in danger and everything is a threat” mode.

However, after some time for him to calm down and realize he’s not in any danger (which is a lie honestly because Bishop then comes in to experiment on him) he becomes a lot more docile and is able to actually speak and act more human. Of course, this takes awhile because now he has to relearn how to speak due to a change in vocal chords.

But yes, after the initial danger of everything is over he can be petted and does enjoy pets (though he’s never actually admit to it).

From left to right and top to bottom we have:

Day 17: Roots; which shows a broken picture of Bishop, Gavin, and Toast when Gavin and Toast were younger

Day 13: Devour; which shows Mikey eating pizza

Day 14: Press Start!; which shows Raph and Ghost playing a video game together with Mikey looking smug in the background

Day 11: Glitch; which is the drawing that held us back from this actually. It was hard to think about what to draw for this one. So we drew Gavin, which works because he is considered to have some sort of “glitch” about him since he didn’t turn out how Bishop intended

Day 15: Try Again?; which shows that Mikey pulled the plug on the game and Raph and Ghost are about to fight him

Day 12: Dance; which is Jimmy and his weapon because for him fighting is a lot more of a dance he enjoys

And lastly: Day 16: OC Spotlight; so we drew Sam Ghost, Julie Ghost, Dark Ghost, and Dark Toast as the four of them are OC’s related to this AU!

It’s nice to see this AU getting recognition! Blue has worked really hard on this and their other stories! It’s good to see their stuff actually being liked by people outside of us!
