the lamp on zayne’s desk was always a calming, warm hue. for one time, very briefly, you remembered it was a cold, fluorescent color; similar to the lights lining Akso Hospital’s ceilings.

you stared at the warm light, trying to focus on something other than the seething pain in your chest. the nurse informed you zayne would be around in a moment. something about an urgent surgery he needed to be present for.

but the prickling pain spiraling through your chest to your abdomen and stomach was nauseating. you could have been lenient, allowed the first doctor to treat you. but you were stubborn.

this writhing pain was something you felt only your doctor had the ability to heal.

the only time you torn your gaze off of the warm, caramel shade of the lamp was when the door swung open. zayne was upon you in a heart beat.

“what happened?” he asked. his tone was still, unwavering but riddled with a worry you knew from childhood.

you grasped your chest, the ache relieving slightly upon racking your eyes over his tall figure and creased eyebrows. his fingers nudge your chin upward gently.

“tell me where it hurts,” he said, leaning over you.

“chest,” you mumbled out. he took a moment to unravel the metal stethoscope around his neck.

“why didn’t you just ask another doctor to monitor you in the meantime?” he scolded. the metal nearing your chest to soak in the sound of your beating heart.

“only wanted you,” you said hoarsely.

zayne silenced himself, letting out a lengthy sigh. “stubborn as always, aren’t you?”

you said nothing. the silence reverberated as he stood in front of you. the caramelized light from his little lamp adorned him like a sunrise against the snowy landscape.

I can see both of you going on a bakery date, being each other's bad influences. He'd keep his out of pocket sweet talking commentary on standby for when the both of you are sharing food together. When he offers to feed you himself, his ears are burning bright red, a gentle smile on his face when you indulge him.

If you want to see him get flustered, offer to do it right back at him. You'll see the cogs in his mind almost freeze for a split second as he allows it, guiding your hand holding your utensil to his lips when he sees your hands tremble.

"If you want to feed me sweetheart, you have to be more bold." He'd tease before brushing the hair out of your eyes.

He'd also find your fashion sense to be quite adorable, thinking it suits you beautifully. Lowkey shocked at how someone so beautiful could be so shy until later on in your relationship and it would fall into place how you are with him and with others.

Overall you both would be a cute fairly quiet couple but very much in love.

I feel like out of all the men, his personality and yours would mesh pretty well together. He's very much fond of the straight forward communication pattern between the both of you and loves the way you're able to be both bold and forthcoming about your wants and needs even if they may fluster him occasionally.

He also is a bit of an enigma, both not fond of outright PDA generally speaking aside from small things like hand holding but when someone flirts with you the man may as well be a peacock, blocking the other suitors view and taking the wheel so to speak. Think in line with Carter and him taking the flowers and tossing them back at him like *no* 😊.

When it comes to the god complex thing while he would find it a bit comical, he would help keep you level headed, he occasionally goes for the metaphorical knee caps of MC when it comes to their health/well being so if it's getting to be excessive he may bring it up and see if he can guide you back onto a more stable path. Literally just having a moment like in Lilo and Stitch of Lilo explaining Stitches evil level and the baselines.

I can also see you both going on like bakery dates, learning how to bake specific dishes you've watched on one of the cooking shows he likes. Bringing home your sugary goods and snacking while playing games or watching anime. I feel like he'd be secretly good at specific video games but claims he grew out of them as a child, but as soon as hes challenged to it, knuckles crack and hes locked in. If you've ever been on the Hell end of him playing Kitty Cards he gives 0 fucks it's a battle to the death of whos going to win. Never pick hell mode unless you want to fight him in a parking lot after.

He would also be impressed with your knowledge on languages and travel, bringing up his parents and their travels and some of the things he's gotten to experience growing up as well when going with them. I feel like you both would make a lot of trips together when you'd manage to convince him to take his vacation time for once. Building new experiences with each other. Maybe you'll make a trip to meet his parents wherever they're currently working later into your relationship as well!

Your sleep schedule being sporadic doesn't necessarily bother him since his is the same, however he will be badgering you to get sleep regularly when the time allows. If your sleep schedules line up with his be prepared for the sleepy doctor snuggles be it on the couch or in his bed, his face in your neck or your chest while he's grumbling or mumbling about his day. Just scratch the back of his neck and run your hands down his back and he's melting, deep sighs and grunts of acknowledgement while you tell him about your day/evening until he nods off entirely kinda vibes.

Your cold extremities concern him to start though, he's confused as hell when he's used to being the cold one in comparison to everyone else. Yet here you come, on par or even worse with his hands poor blood circulation. He's immediately popping onto amazon to get you self heating gloves, hand warmers, the works. If you slid your hands up the back of his shirt and you're sneaky about it, you'll be able to get him to squawk. He will deny it vehemently, but he will still allow it for another moment before taking your hands into his and trying to warm them up himself. He starts carrying handwarmers in his pockets year around along side the candies.

Your BG3 match, I would match you with Shadowheart/Astarion, 1st Shadowheart, 2nd place would be Astarion.

For FFXV, Ignis for sure for you. Ignis is pretty well the same vibes as Zayne imo.
