I've Been Thinking Recently About Mask Designs That Would Be Wearable With Glasses. Here's My First Design

I've been thinking recently about mask designs that would be wearable with glasses. Here's my first design that I'm happy with. It's kind of a crown or helm concept, which goes across the forehead and then down the sides of the face. I based the cross-hatched design on my popular sea dragon mask design.

Another concept I've been playing with is to just remove the bridge of the nose portion of the mask, so your glasses can rest on the nose like they're designed to. But I haven't yet come up with any designs of that type which I've been particularly fond of.

Since I thought this design was a success, I've posted it up for sale on my Etsy page.

Of The Masks I've Designed, This Sea Dragon Mask Has Been Everyone's Favorite. I Use A Computer-controlled

Of the masks I've designed, this sea dragon mask has been everyone's favorite. I use a computer-controlled laser cutter to cut the design out of a big sheet of leather, which means I can design it with lots of tiny little details that would be impractical to cut by hand. I then stain the leather and wet-form it to shape by hand.

I sell these masks over on my Etsy shop.

Inaugural post! I make chainmail and stuff! This photo is old, but it's iconic. Stainless steel scales linked together to make a vest. The detail strip down the middle is yellow brass, showing a bit of tarnish.

This Is What I Made For Myself This Halloween. A Dragon Lower-half-mask. With A Moving Jaw. What Do I

This is what I made for myself this Halloween. A dragon lower-half-mask. With a moving jaw. What do I call this sort of thing? Jaw mask? Snout? I'm not really sure. But it turned out pretty awesome, I thought.

I've already had a couple people say they wanted to commission one, so once I tweak and polish the design a bit I'll definitely be making more of these.

Oh, and I'm also wearing some dragon horns that I made around a year ago. I made them by taking a computerized 3D model of the shape I wanted, slicing it into layers, cutting those out of birch plywood with the laser cutter, and then gluing them together. Basically it's like 3D printing but with plywood.

I Designed A More Elegant Scale Necklace Than The Type I've Been Making. It's Much More In The Feminine,

I designed a more elegant scale necklace than the type I've been making. It's much more in the feminine, delicate sort of aesthetic than the punk-ish ones I've done previously. I may end up tweaking the design of the pendant-like detail in the center. I think I'll probably get this design polished up and posted on my Etsy page after Thanksgiving.
