ryan murphy’s horror is like “everyone’s evil but they have their reasons for it” and mike flanagan’s horror is like “no one’s inherently evil. we’re all just trying to do our best everyday and a lot of times there’s no one to applaud us for it but we have to keep going just because”

i think everyone needs to adopt "i didnt say it was good, i said i liked it" into their vocabulary right now. it did me wonders

most days are fleetings and we all are busy trying to make a sense of our being but sometimes you see a thing and linger around the feeling, like seeing a puppy jump out of happiness at the sight of a person and seeing the person be equally gleeful, listening to your friend talk about wanting something and then trying to find it in every place possible, seeing your mother cook your favourite things when your back home from uni because you wouldn't have gotten to eat all of that while living alone, your loved ones mentioned something they really liked and now you find yourself bringing it back to whenever you find it, and so many more little things, so what I am trying to say is that somedays you see things and you realise that the urge to do things for the people you love, to go out of your way to bring stars for them has gotta be one of the purest forms of driving force there must have existed all this while and I am aware of the other side of the spectrum, of the vile nature of hate driving people to the heinous ways of life, to war and genocide..and it would be naive to think of a superhero fight with justice prevailing but to hope and to see and to feel this love shaping our acts is something so profound. I will always live by the fact that love isn't always found in the big boxes, it can be found in the small lunch boxes you get to take to school or work, in the smiles and checking ons, in holding the doors open, in finding you wherever I go because everything reminds me of you and I look for you in everything I see and I see things that you love and I love them too.
