Time for more headcannons and believe it or not, this time it's not only Scarlet and Violet related, but also an AU that I had started sketching last school year and plan to get back to.

I call this the Red-dad and Purple-mum AU.

While this may contradict the cannon, in this AU Sada and Turo are very attentive parents in contrast with their (robotic) significant other (red dad for Scarlet Turo and purple mum for Violet Sada) just that they are huge science-heads and currently away. Red-dad!Turo is a physicist that's currently doing some research in Pokémon equivalent of CERN and Purple-mum!Sada is on an archeological site with Cynthia somewhere far away.

The angst in this AU is more because they just... don't understand eachother that well. Sada/Turo don't really know how to connect with their son because they don't know how to connect with him, Arven meanwhile sees his parents as scientists so much, he doubts they share any common interests. Also Arven wanted to go with them (before Mabostiff's health went so down) to where they were going, because school was unbearable after the Team Star incident, but they left him home to focus on school (before this they took him everywhere... Also in this AU they really wanted to stay with Arven, but their duties called). The worst conflict they had besides that was about Arven wanting to go to culinary school instead of some scientifically oriented university, but they got over that almost immediately.

Their relationship sort of mends after the big reveal, since they realise they only have eachother to support them through their shared grief.

I know that the interaction is more passionate than what I imagine, but I can't shake the image of Nita getting all fired up and Ingo just continues to talk in his customer service voice, because formal setting, maybe an attempt at de-escalation, but Nita just gets more and more frustrated because customer service brings pent up rage in her (she had to argue for way too many refunds).

Nita refers to Chili/Rika as “Chili-chan,” which is actually how she refers to herself, but Ingo calls her “Chili-sama”

when Ingo says “i insist that you visit the Battle Subway” it’s literally more like “please come visit OUR Battle Subway,” or maybe more like “please come visit us on the Battle Subway,” which is cute because it can be read as him including Emmet, but more importantly he also uses the VERY formal “watakushi-domo”

basically he’s talking like a “employee of the month” type service worker to a customer which makes this convo all the more funnier because he’s using this super super polite language to get into a squabble with Nita over who gets to have the cool fan-favorite come visit

It's stans that bother me, regular G1 fans who are actually normal about G3 and 2 are OK.

This isn't about people who are normal about their dislike.

Gonna be a hater, but G1 Monster High stans are the equivalent to Genwunners, here's why:

1. Think that making a whole account to hate on a kids show is radical (it's not).

2. Keep spreading that G3 has been cancelled (just the Nickelodeon series was, because either Mattel wants to pull out of the network due to its bad reputation OR inside politics in Nickelodeon. The webisodes will continue, source Reddit, because I couldn't find anything about the show's cancellation which is probably the first sign of no cancellations).

3. Think being a One-star-reviewer (not the MTF) and bombing the reviews is #hottie behaviour (all the ghouls look in judgement).

4. Apparently thinking that the IP has gone WOKE and therefore it's RUINED (it was always woke they just can finally be open about it, HAVE WE WATCHED THE SAME THING???)

Obviously G3 has its issues, but like... So does everything?

Remember kids: hate bombing a CORPORATE PRODUCT won't give you a better one. Mattel is a corporation first, they will just sink the ship. Seeing some of your posts just makes my brain shrink in size.

ok but legitimately i think the reason why kids aren’t taking internet safety seriously is because the people who are telling us not to put our personal information out seem so out of touch. no one acknowledges the possibility of meeting very real teenaged friends online, they always say that everyone you meet is a 40 year old white man in disguise. because they aren’t acknowledging things we know are true, it becomes a lot easier to dismiss the rest of what they’re saying as well. internet safety lessons absolutely must keep up with the times and acknowledge the internet’s capacity for good if you want kids to take to heart warnings about its capacity for bad.

Love the current TikTok trend of the Sailor song all those OC and fictional character pairings are fun and if I wouldn't be lazy, I would make a Highlands shipping one.

But in my opinion Ingo should be the captee and Melli the pirate. Like yes, Melli is the twink BUT he actually has the audacity to take over an entire ship and throw the crew into the open sea. Ingo is too nice to do that, he would just defeat the captain at most and like the thing in the song is that the original pirate crew is swimming with the fishies (literally).

Melli very much has the audacity to just throw everyone out except that one guy who put up a decent fight.
