Hi š, My name is Mohammad, and Iām reaching out in a moment of desperate need. Iām a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. š
Iāve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future. šļøšµšø
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my familyās safety and well-being. š«¶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. š
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. ā¤

Thank you for reaching out. I unfortunately do not have enough for the GoFundMe to let me donate, so I'm sharing this-- I wish you and your family well and the best. Thank you.

journal entry: 1
title: citrus cleanse experimentation
the problem: the house has been feeling stagnant and overall not good. I feel slightly ill, too.
the solution: a house cleansing + illness banishment*
the work: I want to use some sort of citrus. I feel lemon would be ideal, however I do not have any; therefore a lime is a good substitute. Alongside it, I will be banishing the illness I am beginning to get -- I will use nettle for the banishment part and ginger for the curing part. I will use a candle as well -- maybe rest it on top of the lime. Might as well add salt, too.
I will begin with the cleansing portion; then move onto banishment, and then healing.
For cleansing, I cut the lime in half and then cut a cross onto one half and cut off the bottom too so it stays still. The other half will be offering to the house spirits.

Next I will bless the cross-lime with salt, saying a prayer to God alongside it. The other lime will not be salted; as I think it may offend the house spirits. The salt I will be using I had previously blessed, but I will bless it again;
Dear Heavenly Father, may this salt be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
And for the blessing of the lime;
Dear Heavenly Father, may this blessed salt therefore bless this lime with the ability of purification, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Before I work the salt, I realize I need to light a candle for the Trinity; I shall do that now.
Next I take a tealight out of its metal casing, and place it on top of the lime. This is optional but I really want the wax to seep into the lime as it melts.
I will light the candle now alongside with a prayer;
Dear Heavenly Father, this light is your light, please purify my house with it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

As the candle burns and after I've sit with it for a while, I will begin banishment of the illness and overall negativity. A prayer;
Nettle, may you use your sharp thorns against illness, may you use your bite against evils, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I sprinkle the nettle onto the candle as I say this. I will let it burn for awhile before adding the ginger. Maybe when the first drop of wax hits the lime.

As I wait, I decide to pray the rosary. It's a blue rosary I had made. Very pretty.
Next I pray over the ginger;
Ginger, may I be healed from my illness, and may you prevent those around me from getting I'll, too. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I sprinkle it over the candle.

As I type this up I realize it is 2 AM. Oh well I guess!
Almost out...

There.

I'm off to bed now I guess. It's 2:30 AM. Night!

Help a disabled queer native and my family please!!
I post a lot of politics/human rights/protest info so if you appreciate my blog or found any value/resources in it then please give this a reblog or send something my way, we could use some support right now.
If not please reblog this anyway cuz my fam and I really could use the help. We have a 3 person family and with me being disabled her income is not enough to support us since her checks got garnished and she started missing more work more after being assaulted.

Edited to add cuz I forgot in my urgent, worried posting:
I kept setting goals but my gf's mental health and ability to process what happened is about as good as can be expected and has deeply affected her ability to work. So I kept having to make new posts and set new goals to get new help with new bills.
This time I'm just gonna make several goals and cross them out as they are met. It's easier and more transparent that way I feel like?
We'll need help paying for literally everything; so there isn't really an exact goal. That said here's the best framework I have:
Car insurance: 70/89 due the 8th (late) PAID!
Credit card payment: 40/40 due the 11th PAID!
Internet: 100/100 due the 12th PAID!
Electric: 159/170 due the 12th PAID!
Car payment: 290/290 due the 26th PAID!
Food: 90 ebt was filled
Rent: 440/954 due the 1st
Laundry: 45/60 (15 per wash per month)
Misc (shampoo, soap, tp, etc): 30/50
As of July 27

Her caption:
carolinejsumlin: White Supremacy is the umbrella system that runs our society. It is the foundation in which our society is built on. It is the machine of our society, but this machine cannot run without each part working seamlessly to do its job. Each part of the white supremacy machine is one of these systems of oppression (and many others I was unable to fit here). Now, this isn't to say that these systems of oppression couldn't operate on their own. They absolutely can and do in other cultures and societies. However, within our modern, western society that was built on and continues to be run by white supremacy, these systems strategically run to ensure white supremacy's goal: a pristine social order of pure whiteness. One we understand the depths of how white supremacy works and just how much it is impacting us from every corner of society, we can begin to dismantle it effectively, while freeing ourselves from falling for its devices.
This concept is something I've seen posted and over and over by different people (usually Black women though). The idea that it's not just that specific groups are consistently targeted but anyone who deviates from the narrow norm of White Supremacy becomes a target, which is why Black women with multiple intersecting identities are the worst treated people in pretty much every society worldwide.
Which is why I listen and follow and share so many perspectives of Black women btw. When the Combahee River Collective said "If Black women were free, it would mean that everyone else would have to be free since our freedom would necessitate the destruction of all the systems of oppression." I didn't see any way that could be false and it's because of white supremacy.
And as for how and where white supremacy exists:
I like this White Supremacy Pyramid, it pretty much encapsulates my understanding and belief of how its perpetuated and builds on itself -ultimately up to the genocide of groups that don't fit into the White Supremacist categories of ideal.

The "Pyramid of White Supremacy" is a component of assistant professor Erin Stutelberg's Diversity and the Self class. It's a one-credit course required for students majoring in elementary education at the Maryland college. Stutelberg said in a Friday statement to Delmarva Now that the violent Charlottesville rally took place as the course was being planned. She felt it needed to be brought up in class, but wanted to carefully do so.
She didn't want her students to think about white supremacy only "as men in robes or hoods or torches marching in streets" because it would give them the impression that it was separate from their lives. "Instead, I want students to explore the ways that race and racism are part of all of our lives," Stutelberg said.
Source
And while not everyone (including myself) agrees with the placement of absolutely everything, it's still decent enough to use so that's what I'm doing.
That to say white Supremacy exists and is perpetuated anywhere and everywhere, so it's up to us individually and collectively to hold ourselves responsible for where it's growing in ourselves, our communities, and countrymen.
I don't see how liberation or human rights will be won with anything but solidarity for the most marginalized communities there are.
How do you build white supremacist framework for future generations if the people here now refuse to hate each other enough to allow it?
Peculiar things that Happened ā¢ļø in my life:

Problematic and Bigoted Pagan Authors (and how to avoid them)
After what was pretty much a mess in a discord server I'm in over an author posting artwork containing Nazi symbols, I decided to make a post letting everyone know about certain authors and what to look out for. I will keep updating this list as I discover things!
Big thanks to @dvudushnydiaries for letting me know ab some Slavic Polytheist authors, as well as my friend Agnes for letting me know about some Irish Polytheist Authors too! <3
If you have any suggestions to add to this list, please let me know!!!
š = Avoid as much as possible
ā ļø = Be very cautious around this author
Generally, here is some red flags to look out for:
Use of symbols associated with hate groups
Claims an (open culture) is closed via ethnicity, especially if these cultures or religions historically shared with other cultures.
Claims there is a "true" or "pure" version of a certain open religion.
Use of dogwhistles.
Writes historical inaccuracies, misinformation, appropriation, making up things and presenting them as fact, etc.
Refusal to take accountability for actions.
Any form of bigotry or discrimination
The list is under the cut!
Hellenic Polytheist Authors
š Timothy Jay Alexander
creator of the "Pillars of Hellenismos", which have little historical basis.
Made homophobic and ableist remarks in a blog post, essentially saying that because ancient Greece did not allow same-sex marriage, that modern Hellenic Polytheists shouldn't too. In this same post he said that marriage should be for making a family, and that since LGBTQ+ people, as well as people with "physical deformities" either can not or should not have children, they cannot marry according to him.
The same ableist remarks listed above were used as reasoning as to why a disabled person shouldn't become a priest or priestess or any higher up positions due to not being in good health. This also reminds me of eugenics.
In that same blog post, referenced a group called YSEE, which is notorious for being homophobic, xenophobic, displaying nationalism among other things better explained in this post by @hellenic-reconstructionism
Books include: A Beginnerās Guide to Hellenismos - Hellenismos Today - The Gods of Reason: An Authentic Theology for Modern Hellenismos
š Galina Krasskova
Numerous things have happened with this author, some of the most notable being selling "Bacchic Lives Matter" pins on Etsy during the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement protests, as well as defending a neo-nazi and fascist group, AFA, on a blog post
Some of her Hellenic Polytheist books include: Honoring the Mothers: Novenas to the Mothers of Our Gods and Heroes - Combatting the Evil Eye - Unto Herself: A Devotional Anthology for Independent GoddessesĀ - Out of Arcadia: A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Pan - Guardian of the Road: A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Hermes
See Norse Polytheist section for her books on that.
š Edward P. Butler
Supports Hindutva, which is Hindu fascism, antisemitic, as well as defends and supports Galina Krasskova.
Books include: Essays on a Polytheistic Philosophy of Religion - Essays on Hellenic Theology.
š H. Jeremiah Lewis / Sannion
Neo-nazi, having nazi symbols on his blog. Also transphobic, islamophobic, and everything under the sun, really.
Books include: Ecstatic: For Dionysos - End to End - Everything Dances: Strange Spirits 3 - Gods and Mortals: New Stories of Hellenic Polytheism
Norse Polytheist Authors
š Galina Krasskova
See Hellenic Polytheist section for details.
Her Norse Polytheist books include: Living Runes; Theory and Practice of Norse Divination - Northern Tradition for the Solitary Practitioner - Neolithic Shamanism; Spirit Work in the Norse Tradition
Irish Polytheist Authors
ā ļø Lora O'Brien
Has a cultish following, thier followers and even themselves bullying and publicly shaming other Irish Polytheists. Often acts negatively towards the Irish diaspora. Has taught Irish Catholic practices, which are closed.
Runs the Irish Pagan School, which has similar rhetoric.
Books include: Irish Witchcraft from an Irish Witch - A Practical Guide to Pagan Priesthood
Slavic Polytheist Authors
š Patricia Woodruff
Has a cultish following, often writes wildly inaccurate information. In a recent book she had completely made up a deity whose name means "swastika". Rated her own books on Goodreads, and publicly responded to any reviews criticizing her books.
Books include: Woodruff's Guide to Slavic Deities - Roots of Slavic Magic Book 1: Slavic Deities & Their Worship
š Madame Pamita
Recently had a (now-deleted) post with an artwork containing various Nazi symbols, and deleted any criticism and seemingly refused to take any accountability. In DM's had repeatedly alluded to if you didn't follow her you "didn't know anything about Slavic Polytheism". Said to be friends with Patricia Woodruff
Books include: The Book of Candle Magic, Baba Yaga's Book of Witchcraft
š Dmitriy Kushnir
Writes about Rodnovery, which many Rodnovery groups in the US and other countries often have ethnonationalist and right-wing connotations and ideology.
Books include: Rodnover
ā ļø Natasha Helvin
Misconstrues Slavic culture to be Wiccan
Says witchcraft are the "universal laws of nature" and that subjects of karma and divine judgement are solely monotheistic.
Claims to be an initiated Haitian Vodou priestess, which is doubtful.
Kemetic Polytheist Authors
ā ļø E. A Wallis Budge
Inaccurate translations of texts
Books include: The Egyptian Book of the Dead (Translation)
My community got approved teehee (a christowitch + folk magic community, non christowitches/folk practitioners welcome as long as you come in good faith!!!)

"Never cry for a magpie is always your guide "

There are many cultures that believe magpie and other corvids are guides, helpers, messages and always a friend.
I was raised no different. I was raised with the same beliefs, the same old superstitions that a magpie or well any corvids { most of them } are always a guide and friend.
Yes, they're grand tricksters of course but always a friend, always there to guide you down the right path.
They bring luck, mirth, tales of the future, protection and a sign from the divine that you're not alone.
I was never told crows, magpies and such were signs of death or illness but instead bluebirds/bluejays were signs of death and bad things on the horizon.
at my schooled cafeteria, straight up praying it, and by it, haha, let's just say, my rosary
where r the prochoice sex positive queer catholics wake the fuck up
Finally at church l!!!!! Rejoice!!!!!!
It's Pride Sunday and the pastor is talking to the children (during children's storytime) about acceptance and how it's ok to be whoever you want to be and I'm so happy I found this church š„¹
All the hymns are about acceptance and welcoming too!! I love this place!
Looks like it is the original image, oddly enough. Found it when looking up the verse--

I made a rosary for peace in Palestine. The centerpiece is of the Holy Family, the crucifix has a bit of Jerusalem soil in it.
Its very much a "yearning for a physical community" time this morning.
me omw to post about a religious experience in 15 different places at once
