[vid id: An audience member video capture of a blooper played at the DS9 panel at SDCC 2019 that had not been previously shown.

The scene begins as if it were Quark and Odo's last scene in the finale of DS9.

QUARK: "So, now that I’m here… is there something you want to say to me?"

ODO: "Such as?"

QUARK: "Such as, 'Goodbye. You certainly were a worth adversary.' Or maybe something with the words 'mutual respect' in it."

ODO: "No."

QUARK: "No? What do you mean 'no'?"

ODO: "I mean 'no.' I have nothing I want to say to you."

QUARK: "You’re telling me that after all these years, after all we’ve been through, you’re not even going to say goodbye to me?"

ODO: "That’s right."

Quark stares at him, speechless.

ODO: "Nerys, I’ll be on the runabout. Hhumph."

Instead of exiting right, Odo reaches out and pulls Quark to him. They kiss passionately and begin making out. Quark moans. The audience LOSES their minds screaming loudly and cheering.

Odo releases him, and finally exits to the roundabout. Quark throws his head back and rubs the top of his head, as if he were running his fingers through his hair, to collect himself.

Kira approaches Quark. Quark says something inaudible back (due to continued audience cheering), but it seems to follow the original scene.

KIRA: "Don’t take it too hard, Quark."

Quark sighs.

QUARK: "Listen… that man loves me. Couldn’t you see? It was written all over his… [incredulous tone] his back."

Kira pauses.

KIRA: "He’s not going to leave—"

QUARK: "No!"

KIRA: "—he’s going to go with you!"

the thing that's so fucking funny abt kira and sisko's relationship is she's like look sometimes i need to talk to you as my boss sometimes i need to talk to you as my good pal ben and sometimes i need to talk to you as jesus. and sometimes her boss refuses a request and she goes, please, jesus and he's like. fuck you fine. and then twenty minutes later it's like oh my good pal ben and i are gonna go watch baseball later :) and they never discuss this.

the musical could be so fucking funny for all the obvious reasons but ALSO because we have:

uhura, who loves music and will take this to the extreme

spock, who loves music but not singing

una, who is a gilbert & sullivan nerd and liable to be SO extra about being in an actual!!! musical!!!

la'an, who lied to them all about having a bad singing voice and will be violently exposed
