Snowpiercer Smackdown : Tail Section vs. Front Section Side note: I just learned that the film distributor of "Snowpiercer" for the Philippines is NOT going to be The Weinstein Company, but rather Parkit Films--who will also be handling the release of director Bong Joon-Ho's visionary dystopian sci-fi epic in Malaysia. Which basically means I will definitely be seeing the ORIGINAL UNEDITED VERSION of "Snowpiercer" as opposed to the potential Harvey Scissorhands cut which will likely be serviced to the US, UK, and other English-speaking territories. Excuse me while I proceed to uncontrollably shake and cry with joy at this bit of good news.

TILDA SWINTON AS THE THIRTEENTH IN THE TARDIS. I WILL ACCEPT NOTHING LESS. And she basically looks like David Bowie who happens to be Ziggy Stardust, so this makes perfect fucking sense. OMFG THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

you’ve got the entire universe on your shoulders - so where would you like to go first?

One of the most beautiful, smart, funny, heartwarming, and ridiculously endearing indie films I have seen in a long while. "Frances Ha" is a portrait of what it really is like to be a struggling but hopefully positive twentysomething dreamer working in the big city. I related so hard with the titular character, and anyone who has ever experienced financial and personal hardships while looking out for that ever elusive silver lining can certainly find something to appreciate with this film.

P.S. Her surname isn't really "Ha", but to spoil the reason why the film is titled so would ruin the wit and charm of the whole thing. See "Frances Ha" for yourself and find yourself transported to those fond memories of you being an independent free spirit trying to live through each day with very little in your pocket but with lots of hope in your heart.
