Dead in the water part 3
Season One. Episode Four.
Phantom Traveler (Part 1)

You groaned when a ringtone of a phone woke you up. You rolled over, ready to kill whoever it was, you just fell asleep half an hour ago so whoever it was, they better have a good reason. You picked up the phone from the nightstand and realized is wasn't even your phone. You glared at it as it kept ringing then you burst out of your motel room, not caring you were only wearing a pair of tank top and boy shorts and your hair was like a bird's nest.
You started banging on the boy's door with both of your hands. Sam opened up looking at you like he saw a ghost which was practically true because you looked scarier than a ghost right now.
You stormed inside past him and the phone started ringing again. "Who's phone is this?" You asked glaring at both the boys as you stood in front of them.
"It's mine, but I really wish it wasn't...please don't kill me." Dean admitted and you threw his phone at him and he caught it as you sat beside Sam on the bed opposite to Dean. "Hello?" Said as he picked up the call.
"Ask him if he would rather be choked to death or stabbed to death."
"Here." Sam handed you his coffee as soon as those words left your mouth. You took a sip and calmed down instantly, your eyes closed at the heavenly bitter sweet taste of coffee, Sam raised an eyebrow at the change of your mood.
"Oh, right, yeah, up in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. The poltergeist thing. It's not back, is it?" Dean said to the person ok the other side of the phone and you looked at him with curiosity. "What is it?" After that Dean hung up.
"Who was it?" You asked.
"Depends. Are you gonna kill him?" He asked with an raised eyebrow.
"No, now that Sam gave me coffee I'm able to think rationally and I think I would rather kill you for leaving your phone in my room." You said but smiled sweetly at the end.
"Oh I'm too adorable to be killed."
"Dude, if you don't tell us who he was she might." Sam replied.
"It was Jerry Panowski, Dad and I worked a case for him in Pennsylvania two years back. He needs my help again." Dean said looking alternatively at you and Sam. "He thinks there might be something supernatural going on."
"Ok." Sam said getting up and grabbing his jacket. "You guys get ready, I'll go stuff the car." He grabbed the weapon bag and walked out of the motel room.
"Wait we are going? Right now?" You asked but all you got in return was the sound of him shutting the door on his way out. "I guess that's a yes." You said to yourself and turn back to look at Dean who was already staring at you.
The tension was building back up in the room since it was the first time the two of you were alone in a room after your fight, or whatever it was.
"So you heard anything from bobby lately?" Dean asked after seconds of silence.
"Seriously, Dean? Small talks?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Well, how else am I suppose to know you're not mad at me."
"You're still alive, and in one piece, that's how you know I'm not still mad at you." You replied with a smirk and a smile made a way to his lips as well.
"So we're good?"
"We're good. And actually I thought about it and I overreacted. I was throwing a tantrum like a brat. I'm sorry." You apologised.
"Yah, you were acting like a little brat that day but-" he stopped when he saw the glare you were throwing at his way. "What? You just said that yourself." He tried to defend himself.
"Yeah, I can say that about myself, but you're not allowed to do that. Oh my god, how do you ever get girls." You shook your head.
"Well, I do have a very charming face." He said with a grin that made you chuckle. 'god! Does he have to be so cute.' you groaned to yourself in your mind.
"Okay, so I'm gonna go and pack up my shit." You said before standing up and going toward the door.
"Alex." Dean stopped you and you turned around to see him holding out his flannel. You gave him a confused look and he replied with a smirk.
"Your shirt is see through." His words made your eyes widen and you let out a gasp, quickly grabbing the shirt from him and wrapping it around yourself.
"And neither of you thought about mentioning that a little earlier." You glared at him and the last thing you heard before closing the door behind you was, "can't blame a guy for enjoying the show." It made you blush but thank God no one was around to see it.
The drive to Pennsylvania wasn't that long since you guys were staying just out of the town. Dean pulled up to the airport and a bald middle aged guy greeted you as soon as you got out of the car. You suppose it was Jerry Panowski.
"Thanks for making the trip so quick. I ought to be doing you guys favor, not the other way around. " He said as he let the three of you through the airport. "Dean and John really helped me out." He informed looking at Sam and you.
"Yeah, he told us. It was a poltergeist?"
"Poltergeist? Man, I love that movie." You heard one the worker say as he heard Sam.
"Hey, nobody's talking to you. Keep working." Jerry scolded the man before answering Sam. "Damn right it was a poltergeist, practically tore our house apart. Tell you something, if it wasn't for you and your dad, I probably wouldn't be alive." Jerry said directing his words towards Dean and he looked at you and Sam with arrogant smile on his face.
"Your dad said you were off to college, is that right?" Jerry continued.
"Yeah, I was. I'm taking some time off." Sam answered.
"He was real proud of you. I could tell. He talked about you all the time." Jerry said and you gave Sam an 'i told you so' smile.
"He did?" He asked, surprised by the information.
"Yeah, you bet he did. Oh hey, you know, I tried to get a hold of him, but I couldn't. How's he doing anyway?" He asked and you looked at Dean curious for his answer.
"He's, um, wrapped up in a job right now." Dean answered.
"Well, we're missing the old man. We get Alex and Sam, even trade, huh?" He said and you chuckled before saying.
"No, not by a long shot."
"I got something I want you guys to hear." He lead you to his office and shut it behind him once you guys were inside. "I listened to this, well, it sounded like it was up your alley." He said putting a CD in a player for you to hear. "Normally I wouldn't have access to this. It's the cockpit voice recorder for United Britannia, flight 2485. It was one of ours." He told you before pressing the play button.
"Mayday! Mayday! Repeat, this is United Britannia flight 2485, requesting immediate...help." the man on the tape said before it turned into a chatter that you couldn't understand very well. There was some loud growling heard before it turned into a chatter that you couldn't understand very well. There was some loud growling heard before the audio stops. You looked at the boys who were sitting on either side of you.
"Took off from here, crashed about 200 miles south. Now, they're saying mechanical failure. 'the cabin depressurized somehow. Nobody knows why.' over 100 people on board. Only seven got out alive. The pilot was one. His name is Chuck Lambert, he's a good friend of mine. Chuck is, uh..well, he's pretty broken about it, like it was his fault."
"You don't think it was?" Sam questioned.
"No, I don't." He replied with confidence.
"Jerry, we're gonna need passenger manifest, a list of survivors--" you started listing but Sam cut you off.
"Right. And any way we can take a look at the wreckage?" He asked and you looked back to Jerry for answer.
"The other stuff is no problem, but the wreckage...Fellas, the NTSB has it locked down in an evidence warehouse, no way I've got that kind of clearance." Dean thought about it for a second the shook is head saying. "No problem."
Dean drove you to the nearest copy centre, you and Sam decided to stand outside as Dean went inside to make you guys some fake IDs.
"So, you wanna talk about it?" Sam said breaking the silence.
"Talk about what?" You asked even though you know exactly what he was talking about.
"You know what." He pressed but you continued playing dumb. "I was up all night last night and I know for a fact that you were too. And for a heads up, the next time you cry don't press a pillow over your face, it doesn't work, I could still hear you loud and clear." He said and You turned away, not daring to look him in the eyes.
"I wasn't crying." You stated, more like lied.
"Look me in the eyes and say that again." He challenged and you looked away giving him his answer. "That's what I thought."
"Did Dean hear?" Were the next words that left your mouth. "No. He didn't but if he was awake he would have." You sighed in relief.
"Look you can't tell him." You say as you finally make eye contact with him. "He already has a lot on his mind, I don't want to worry him over this too." He nodded in agreement.
"Was it another nightmare?" He asked and you answered with a nod "about what?"
"The usual drill, my mom, Jessica... I saw Bobby die a hundredth time this week." You answered, leaving out the main reason of your nightmares...your own father.
"You wanna talk about it?"
"No, not really."
"Alex, just know that it's Ok to cry, it doesn't make you weak, it makes you human." He said making you smile and then you wrapped your arms around his neck hugging him tightly. "Next time you feel like crying? Call me over, we'll cry together." He said making you giggle.
"What are we celebrating?" You pulled away from the younger Winchester when you heard Dean's voice behind you.
"Took you long enough."
"You've been in there forever." You and Sam said at the same time, ignoring his question. He gave a look to both of you but decided to let it go.
"You can't rush perfection." He said pulling out 3 ID cards.
"Homeland security? That's pretty illegal, even for us." Sam said and Dean handed your card to you.
"Yeah, well, it's something new, you know? People haven't seen it a thousand times." He said getting inside the car. You and Sam followed him and got in the car as well.
"Alright, so, what you guys got?"
"Well, there's definitely EVP on the cockpit voice recorder." Sam said.
"Yeah?"
"Listen." Sam played the audio on his laptop and all you could hear was high laptop and all you could hear was high-pitched statics. 'no survivors!' you heard a woman's voice.
"No survivors?" Dean repeated. "What's that supposed to mean? There were 7 survivors."
"It got me."
"So what are you thinking? A haunted flight?"
"There's a long history of spirits and death omens on planes and ships, like phantom travelers or remember flight 401?" You asked the boys.
"Right the one the crashed. The airlines salvanged some of its parts put it in another plane, then the spirit of the pilots haunted those flights." Dean answered.
"Right. Maybe we got similar deal." Sam said.
"So, survivors, which one do you guys want to talk to first?"
"Third on the list, Max Jaffey, he's from around here and if anyone saw anything weird, he did." You said leaning back on the car seat.
"Why's that?" Dean asked.
"I spoke to his mother and she told me where to find him."
"Where?" Both the boys ask in unison.
"Riverfront psychiatric hospital." You said and that was enough of an explanation.
"Max Jaffey? We are from Homeland security, we're here to talk about the plane crash." Dean said, introducing the three of you to Max.
Dean started the car and you made your way toward the private care facility. A few minutes later Dean finally pulled up in front of riverfront. All three of you went inside, pulling out your IDs, asking to see Max. A woman led you up to Max, who was standing in front of the garden.
"I don't understand, I already talked to Homeland security." He said as the 4 of you started walking.
"Right, some new information has come up. So if you could just answer a couple questions." Explained Dean. "Just before the plane went down, did you notice anything unusual?" Asked Sam.
"Like what?"
"Strange lights, weird noises, maybe....voices." Dean asked.
"No, nothing."
"Hmm. Mr. Joffey." You intensionally pronounced his name wrong. "Jaffey." He corrected you as the 4 of you sat down on a round table.
"Whatever. You checked yourself in here, right? Can I ask why?" You continued.
"I was a little stressed. I survived a plane crash."
"Uh-huh. And that's what terrified you? I mean that's what you were afraid of?" You said keeping your voice as meaner as you could even though you felt bad talking to him like that. The brothers sat silently, letting you do your job.
"I-I don't want to talk about this anymore."
"You know what, I think maybe you did see something up there. We need to know what."
"No. No, I was delusional, seeing things."
"Oh he was seeing things." You repeated mockingly looking at the brothers.
"It's okay. Then just tell us what you thought you saw, please." Sam said softly. Max thought for a while before answering.
"There was......this......man. And, uh, he had the eyes...these uh..black eyes. And I saw him...I thought I saw him." He stopped in the mid sentence. "What?" Dean pressed. "He opened the emergency exit. But that's impossible, right? I mean, I looked it up. There's something like two tons of pressure on that door."
"This man, uh, did he seem to appear and disappear rapidly? It would look something like a mirage." Sam asked and you rolled your eyes at his stupidly obvious question.
"What are you, nuts? He was a passenger. He was sitting right in front of me." Max replied like Sam was crazy or something. Ones you were back in the Impala, you went through the passenger manifest again to find the guy in front of Max Jaffey.
"George Phelps." You said out loud and the brothers looked at you with a confused expression. "The guy in front of Max Jaffey. George Phelps, seat 20-C."
"Good, now work that pretty little head of yours and Find us an address." Dean said starting the car.
You were in front of George Phelps house within less than 15 minutes. "Here we are." Said Sam.
"Hmm...Man, I don't care how strong you are." Dean said as the three of you stepped out of the car. "Even yoked up on PCP or something, no way you can open up an emergency door during a flight."
"Not if you're human. But maybe this guy George was something else. Some kind of creature maybe, in human form." Sam suggested.
"Does that look like a creature's lair to you?" Dean asked and you turn to look at the beautiful cookie cutter house. To be honest it looked like a slightly bigger version of your childhood home back in Lebanon. It really was a beautiful house, now it's just abandoned building, with no life whatsoever.
"God, this guy must had insane income." You whispered making the brothers chuckle before Making your way to the Phelps' house.

Bloody Mary (Part 3)

"I was on the job for 35 years, detective for most of that. Now everybody packs it in with a few loose ends but the Mary Worthington murder.....that one still gets me." The detective said answering one of your many questions.
"What exactly happened?" Dean asked as you sat silently looking around the room and the three men.
"You guys said you were reporters?" The detective said.
"We know Mary was 19, lived by herself. We know she won a few local contests, dreamt of getting out of Indiana being an actress. And we know that at the night of March 29th, someone broke into her apartment and murdered her. Cut out her eyes with a knife." Sam said, obviously being the only one out of the 3 of you who actually read about the case. Usually you'd do it but your mind wasn't in the right place right now.
"See, sir, when we ask you what happened." Dean said confidently.
"Technically, I'm not supposed to have a copy of this." He said pulling out a folder from the cabinet, you watched as the brothers shared a look. He started going through the folder and finally stopping at a picture which you assume was Mary laying in the pool of her own blood. "See that there? T-R-E?" He asked and you all nodded in incision. "I think Mary was trying to spell out the name of her killer." Detective suggested.
"You know who that was?" Sam asked.
"Not for sure. But there was a local man, a surgeon, Trevor Sampson." He said pulling out a picture of a man in tux. "And I think he cut her up good."
"Now, why would he do something like that?" You opened your mouth for the first time since you guys arrived here.
"Her diary mentioned a man she was seeing. She called him by his initial, T. Well, her last entry, she was gonna tell T's wife about their affair."
"But how do you know it was Sampson who killed her?" Dean asked.
"It's hard to say. But the way her eyes were cut out, it was almost professional." Detective said with a glint of sadness in his eyes.
"But you could never prove it?" You said, wording out the guilt inside his head. "No, no prints, no witnesses. He was meticulous."
"Is he still alive?" Asked Dean.
"Nope......If you ask me, Mary spent her last living moments trying to expose this guys secret. But she never could."
"Where's she buried?" Sammy asked.
"She wasn't. She was cremated." He said and you almost rolled your eyes.
"What about that mirror? It's not in some evidence lock up, is it?" You asked.
"No. It was returned to Mary's family a long time ago."
"You have the names of her family by any chances?" Sam asked and luckily he gave you the name of Mary's brother.
On your drive back to Toledo Sam called Mr. Worthington to ask about the mirror. "Oh really? That's too bad, Mr. Worthington. I would have paid a lot for that mirror ok, well maybe next time. All right, thanks." Sam said hanging up the phone. "So?" You and Dean asked in incision as soon as he was off the phone. "So that was Mary's brother. The mirror was in the family for years, until he sold it, one week ago..To a store called Estate Antique. A store in Toledo."
"So wherever the mirror goes, that's where Mary goes?" You asked raising an eyebrow although you already knew the answer. "Her spirits definitely tied up with it somehow."
"Isn't there an odd superstition that says mirrors can capture spirit?" Dean asked. "Yeah there is. When someone would die in a house people would cover up the mirrors so the ghost wouldn't get trapped." You answered keeping your eyes on them the whole time.
"Mary dies and the mirror draws in her spirit." Dean said in conclusion.
"Yeah, but how could she move through 100 different mirrors." Sam wondered out loud.
"I don't know but if that mirror's a source. I say we find it and smash it." Dean replied to Sam's question.
"Yeah, I don't know. Maybe."
Sam's phone started ringing and he picked it up in the second ring. "Hello? Charlie?" He asked on the phone with concern. "Hey, hey, calm down. Just meet us at our motel and we'll be there soon. Just don't look at anything that shows reflections." He said hanging up and Dean speeded up.
"What's wrong?" You questioned as soon as he was off the phone.
"Someone said it again and now Mary's after her."
When you got to your motel you saw charlie waiting outside covering her eyes. "Hey, it's okay, we're here, let's get you inside." You led her into your room but she didn't stop shaking and didn't uncover her eyes. Sam and Dean covered every reflecting surface of the room while you sat besides her to comfort her. "Charlie, you can open your eyes now, it's okay, you're safe now. Now, listen, you're not gonna look at glass or anything that has reflection okay? And as long as you do that, she cannot get you." You soothing voice which Dean always referred as creepy.
"But I can't keep that up forever. I'm gonna die, aren't I?" She asked and you shook your head.
"No, you're not, not anytime soon." Sam said.
"Alright, Charlie, we need to know what happened." Dean asked, sitting on her other side.
"We were in the bathroom. Donna said it."
"That's not what we're talking about. Something happened didn't it....In your life? A secret, where someone got hurt. Can you tell us about it." Dean asked and more tears left her eyes.
"I had this boyfriend. I loved him. But he kind of scared me too, you know? And one night at his house...We got in a fight. Then I broke up with him and he got upset and he said he needed me and he loved me. And he said 'charlie, if you walk out that door right now I'm gonna kill myself.' And you know what I said? I said 'go ahead' and I left. How could I say that? How could I leave him like that? I just.. I didn't believe him, you know? I should have." she started sobbing again after finishing her story. You looked at her with sympathy. "Charlie it wasn't your fault." you said rubbing her back but she didn't accept it.
"We're gonna go take care of this thing ok? Don't look at anything reflective.” The three of you got in the impala and started to the antique shop.
"Alex was right you know. Her boyfriend killing himself, that's not Charlie's fault." Dean said from behind the wheel and his eyes met with yours through the rear view mirror but you quickly looked away breaking the eye contact.
"You know as well as I do....spirits don't exactly see shades of gray, Dean. Charlie had a secret, someone died. That's good enough for Mary." Sam said and once again your heart dropped at your stomach. All you could think about was your secret right now. You know it shouldn't be the first priority here but you couldn't help it. "you know I've been thinking.. It might not be enough to just smash that mirror." Sam said and it caught your attention, pulling you out of your trail of thoughts.
"Why, what do you mean?" Dean asked.
"Well Mary's hard to pin down, right? I mean she moves around from mirror to mirrors. Who's to say that she's not gonna just keep hiding in them forever? So maybe... We should try to pin her down.. You know, summon her to her mirror and then smash it." Sam said.
"Well how do you know that's gonna work?"
"I don't, well not for sure." Sam replied.
"Well, who's gonna summon her?" Dean asked and before Sam could answer you opened your mouth, "I will. She'll come after me for sure." you said and the brothers looked at you with similar frowns. "No. You won't." They replied in unison suddenly acting all protective.
"No I'll do it. She will definitely come after me." Sam said, sounding guilty.
"Alright. You know what? That's it." Dean said pulling the car to the side to have a conversation with both of you.
"This is about Jessica, isn't it?" He asked turning toward Sam. "you think that's your dirty little secret that you killed her somehow?" He asked but there was no answer from the younger man which only proved Dean right. "Sam, this is gotta stop, Man. I mean..the nightmares.. and-and calling her name out in the middle of the night, it's gonna kill you. Now listen to me. It wasn't your fault. If you wanna blame something then blame the thing that killed her. Or why don't you take a swing at me? I'm the one who dragged you away from her in the first place."
"I don't blame you. " Sam said.
"Well you shouldn't blame yourself. 'cause there's nothing you could have done." Dean said. You decided to stay quiet because you damn well know of you say a word the lecture will suddenly turn to you.
"I could've warned her." Sam said and you frowned.
"About what? You didn't know what was gonna happen." Dean said and Sam looked away from him you could swear to God he was hiding something from you guys. "And, besides, all of this isn't a secret. I mean we know all about it. It's not gonna work with Mary anyway."
"No you don't." you knew it! He was hiding something.
"we don't what?"
"you guys don't know all about it. I haven't told you everything."
"what are you talking about?"
"Well it wouldn't really be a secret if I told you, would it?" Sam said and Dean was taken aback for a second.
"No I don't like it. It's not gonna happen. Forget it."
"He doesn't have to do it. I'll do it." you chipped in.
"No you won't. None of you gonna summon her. And seriously Alex, what is wrong? You have nightmares all the time, you barely sleep and when you do, you cry in your sleep." He snapped and you gave him a look. "yeah I hear it. Every night. I don't say anything because I want to give you your space. I know we don't know a lot about you but we know you enough and you will never hurt anyone intentionally. So whatever it Is, it's not your fault. So none of you are gonna do it. " He said and you felt a tear slid down your right cheek. 'only if you knew, Dean. Only if you knew you wouldn't think so highly about me.'
"You have no idea." you said in a small voice. His words only made you feel more guilty. How are you ever gonna tell him. And if they ever find out, they'll hate you. "Dean, that girl back there is gonna die. And you know what? Who knows how many more people are gonna die after that unless one of us do it." you said.
"And it's not gonna be you." Sam said turning slightly toward you. "Sam...... Please don't fight me on this one." you said and he sighed. "fine. We'll do it together. Maybe she'll get confused about who to kill first and we'll have a little more time in our hands." Sam said and you nodded agreeing with his plan then both turn to Dean. "Dean, you've gotta let us do this." you said in a very soft voice and he say silently for a few secs he nodded his head.
"But I don't like it, I don't like it at all." he whispered before turning on the car and driving toward the Antique store.
You were kneeling down in front the door of the antique store with your lock pick in your hand. You were successful in your third try. You opened the door and got inside, followed by the Winchesters.
There were way too many mirrors in that shop. It made spotting Mary's mirror even harder for you. "Well, that's just great." Dean commented sarcastically. He pulled out the picture, showing us the mirror in front of which Mary died. "Alright start looking." He said and Sam started walking deeper into the store. You turned to follow him but Dean grabbed your wrist pulling you closer to him, looking deep in your eyes he said. "Are you sure about this?" you nodded. "I don't like you doing this. At All." he confessed.
"I don't like it either but we don't have another choice." you said and this time he nodded.
"But when this is over, you're gonna tell me everything. No more secrets."
"Somethings are better off as secrets, Dean. Please promise me you won't ask me about it." you said and he looked away. "Dean, please." you cupped his face making him look at you.
"Fine I promise." He said and you don't know if you feel relieved or even more guilty. "let's just get this over with." He said pressing his lips to your forehead briefly. As in queue Sam called out. "Found it." and the two of you walked to where he was. He was standing in front of the mirror shining his torch on it. Dean opened the picture to confirm it was the same mirror. "that's it."
"you sure about this?" he asked Sam. He sighed and the 3 of you walked in front of it together.
"Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary." you both said in unison. Sam grabbed your hand with one of his and with the other he raised his crowbar. "Bloody Mary." you finished, squeezing his hand tightly.
A light shined through the shop from the window and we looked toward it. "I'll go check that out. You guys stay here. Be careful." he handed you his crowbar and started walking out. "smash anything that moves." He said and you nodded.
You heard a breath and turned toward one of the mirror. You saw a feminine figure standing in the mirror and took no time to smash it. You heard Sam smashing another one. "come on, come into this one." you said turning toward the main mirror. You frowned when you saw your own reflection smiling creepily at you. You heard a cry of pain and turned to Sam to see him bleeding through his eyes. You took a step toward him but stopped when your own eyes started burning. You could feel the warm liquid coming out of them. "it's your fault." your reflection said as the crowbar fell from your hand. "you killed him and you killed her too." you heard yourself in the mirror. From the corner of your eyes you saw as Sam fell on his knees clutching his chest. "Sam" before you could take another step there was a sharp pain in your head and your whole body. Sam was looking at the mirror but you couldn't see what he was seeing. "They told her. Everyone told her you were a monster but she never listened to them. They told her to kill you but she didn't listen to any of them and this is how you repay her. You killed them." you groaned, crawling toward Sam. "Sammy, Sammy don't listen to it. We can do this." you said grabbing the crowbar he dropped but before you could do something Dean ran by you and smashed it.
"Sammy! Sammy!" Dean said kneeling down in front of you guys and grabbing his face. "it's Sam."
"God, are you guys okay?" He said turning to you and taking your face in his hand and Wiping the blood from your face but you were pretty sure he just smeared it even more. "uh, yeah."
"come on. Come on." he tried helping you to stand up. "I'm fine help him." you told him and he did what you said and helped Sam to get to get up as you got as yourself.
He put one of his hand over his shoulder and the three of you started walking out. You were limping behind the Winchesters when you suddenly heard clinking of glass and heavy gasps behind you. You guys turned around to see that bloody Mary has crawled out of the mirror.
It only took a second for Dean to grab you and pull you behind him but it didn't help any of you. The three of you fell to the ground, groaning in pain as she walked toward you. More blood came out of your eyes.
You saw as Dean grabbed a mirror from beside him and held it against Mary. She stopped in her track and started looking at her reflection. "you killed them!" you heard a deep gruff voice. "All those people! You killed them." It repeated you saw as she melted in a puddle of blood right in front of you. Dean threw the mirror down, shattering it.
"Guys." you groaned out
"yeah?" Sam asked.
"That's gotta be like, what, 600 years of bad luck?" you said looking at all the broken mirrors, making both of em chuckle.
As you got up and walked out of the store Sam took no time in getting inside the impala and crashing down.
"Alex." Dean said before you could get inside as well, making you turn around and face him. He just stood there staring at your face. "what-" before you could finish your sentence he grabbed you by the waist and smashed his lips on yours. You were taken aback at the first but then kissed him back with the same force. You pulled away panting heavily. "what was that for?" you asked opening your eyes and looking at him.
"I'm really happy to see you alive." he said. "I'm really happy to see you alive too." you said, grabbing his collar and pulling him down for one more kiss.
The next morning Dean pulled up in front of Charlie's house to drop her off.
"so this is really over?" Charlie said looking at the three of you. "yeah, it's over." Dean said.
"Thanks you." she smiled at him and then got out of the car and started walking toward her house "Charlie? " Sam called out to her and she turned around. "your boyfriend's death... You really should try to forgive yourself. No matter what you did... You probably couldn't have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happens." Sam said and she went inside her home giving him a slight nod.
"that's good advice." Dean said pulling out the car from the driveway. His eyes met with yours through the rear view, making you blush and him smirk. He winked at you and you rolled your eyes but you couldn't hide the big smile on your face.
"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up before you guys decide to do anything stupid again." you said making a pillow from your jacket and lied down in hopes that maybe just maybe you could take a nap without any nightmares.

(A/n:- HEY GUYSSS.... I know it's been so long. I said I would post soon and then I betrayed you. I actually got into this minor accident, broke my right wrist (talk about my luck.) and my right leg. It was just hairline fracture. They took of the cast a couple days ago but my wrist was soo stiff because of the plaster that I couldn't type. But I'm completely OK now and I can type again. Although not continuously, I have to keep taking break. I really hope you guys forgive me. I LOVE YOU ALL.
And also. I lost my tag list so any of you who want to be tagged in the series just ask. I know I can go and peak at the old chapter but I wanna make a fresh tag list (don't know if that's even a thing.) but whatever just let me know...

Skin (Part 2)
Season One. Episode Six.
Skin (Part 3)

As your eyes started to open and you came back to senses, a fowl smell hit your nose. You looked around only to realize you were in the sewer tied up with your back against a pipe, across from Sam.
“Hey, Sam, Sammy, wake up.” You called out to the younger Winchester and tried pulling at the ropes. Sam slowly started to wake up as well. He looked around and his eyes fell on you, He started struggling against the rope and just then the shifter walked in with more ropes in his hands. He walked up to Sam and looked him up and down before slapping him across the face with the back of his hand.
“Hey.” You yelled out angrily as he walked away.
“Where is he?” Sam asked, grunting. “Where’s Dean.” He repeated his question.
“I wouldn’t worry about him. I’d worry about you and your little bitch.” The shifter said walking closer to Sam once again.
“You don’t really wanna know. I swear, the more I learn about you and your family.....I thought I came from a bad background.”
“What do you mean learn?” You questioned and looked at him confusingly as he held his head and started grunting in pain, like he was restoring Dean’s memories.
“He sure got issues with you.” The shifter said looking at the younger brother. “You got to go to college, he had to stay home, I mean I had to stay home with dad. You don’t think I had dreams of my own? But dad needed me. Where the hell were you?” The shifter said as he leaned in toward Sam. You took advantage of his distraction and started tugging on the ropes.
The only thing Sam replied with was “Where’s my brother?”
“I’m your brother.” The shifter replied as either of his hands on each side of Sam’s leg. “See deep down, I’m just jealous. You got friends. You could have a life. Me? I know I’m a freak. And sooner or later everyone’s gonna leave me.” You frowned at what the shifter was saying, was this really how Dean felt? The shifter stood up and walked toward you. “What are you talking about?” Sam asked. “You left. Hell, I did everything dad asked me to, and he ditched me too. No explanation, nothing. Just poof. Left me with your sorry ass. And sooner or later, Alex’ gonna leave me too. I don’t deserve her, she’s too good for someone like me.” You were a little shocked at his revelation. Your heart ached for Dean, how could he think so little of himself? When in reality he deserves the whole world, you just wanted to hug him and tell him just how much he’s worth but quickly you reminded yourself that it was the shifter talking. Maybe he was just lying to get to your and Sam’s head, to play with your minds. There was a few seconds of silence before the shifter started talking again. “But still, this life....It’s not without it’s perks. I meet the nicest people, like little Becky, I wonder what would happen if I go to her place right now, you know, as your big brother.” He said and Sam gave him a bitch face. You got the sudden urge to protect the girl who hates you. “Let’s see what happen.” He smirked and threw a blanket over you and Sam before walking away and ignoring Sam’s threats.
“Damn it.” Sam grunted as he tried to get out of the knot the shifter made around his wrist. You were trying to concentrate hard on the rope that was tied around you. Your concentration was broken by the sound of Man coughing, not just any man, you recognize the voice as Dean’s.
“That better be you, Sam and not that freak of nature.” Dean said and Sam started chuckling in relief.
“Yeah, its me. He went to Rebecca’s looking like you.”
“Oh he’s not stupid. He picked the handsome one.” Dean commented which made you roll your eyes. “Where’s Alex? She OK?”
“I’m here.” You grunted out still trying to get out of the ropes.
“You OK? He didn’t do anything did he?” Dean asked and you felt silent, not knowing how to answer the question. But your silence was enough answer for him.
“I’m going to kill that bastard.” Dean growled out in anger.
“Not before I get him.” Sam replied.
“He didn’t just look like you, he was you.” You told Dean “OR he was becoming you.”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know, its like he was downloading your thoughts and memories.” You replied.
“You mean like Vulcan Mind Meld?” Dean asked and you saw him getting out of the ropes.
“Yeah something like that.” This time Sam answered “Maybe that’s why he didn’t kill us.”
Dean got up from where he was sitting at walked toward you, you stopped struggling with the ropes as you knew he would get you out now.
Dean kneeled in front of you and started untying the rope. His eyes fell on the cut on your temple where the shifter hit you. He started boiling with anger again when he saw the blood. “He hurt you?” he asked and you didn’t answer, just stared him straight in the eye. They were so different yet similar at the same time.
There was concern and care and love behind you Dean’s eyes where the shifter only looked at you with lust and hunger. After he helped you with the ropes he went to Sam’s side to help him get out as well.
“Maybe he needs to keep us alive, a psychic connection.” Dean said as he untied Sam.
“Yeah, come on, we gotta go he’s probably at Rebecca’s already.” Sam said standing up. You got up as well and followed the out of the sewer.
“Come on, we gotta find a phone and call the police.” Sam said.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, you’re gonna put a APB out on me?” Dean said.
“Sorry.” was the only thing Sam replied with. “This way.” Dean said and led you down the road. You guys started running. Sam found a phone and called the police, letting them know about Dean, well the shifter Dean.
You were walking toward Rebecca’s place when walked past a window of a store which had a bunch of TVs on it. You stopped as you saw the new
“An anonymous tip led police to a home in the central west end where a SWAT team discovered a local woman bound and gagged. The attacker, a white male, approximately 24 to 30 years of age was discovered hiding in the home...” a sketch of Dean popped up on the screen and you couldn’t help but laugh a little.
“Man, that’s not even a good picture.” Dean groaned.
“Well, its good enough to recognize you.” You told him and Sam nodded along.”Man.” Dean groaned once again as the three of you walked away. As you made a turn Dean stepped in a puddle of water, guess its just wasn’t his day.
“Come on!” It was Sam’s turn groan at his brother’s clumsiness.
“They said attempted murder. At least we know-” You started saying as you tried to catch up with their steps. gosh those two had long legs.
“I didn’t kill her.” Dean cut you off.
“Alex and I’ll check with Rebecca in the morning and see if she’s alright.” Sam said
“OK but first I wanna find that handsome devil and kick the crap out of him.” Dean said.
“We have no weapons, no silver bullets.” You said, you were practically running so you could keep up with them. Damn them and their height.
“Alex, that guy has my face okay? Its a little personal, I wanna find him.” Dean said as the three of you came to a stop in the middle of the street.
“Okay, where do we look?” You asked.
“We could start with the sewer.”
“Okay but Alex is right you know, he stole our guns, we need more.” Sam said.
“Wait, the car?” you suggested.
“I’m bettin’ he drove over to Rebecca’s.” Dean said.
“The news said he fled on foot. I bet its still parked there.” Sam suggested. There was a little pause before he groaned out in anger. “Ugh.... the thought of him driving my car.” Dean said and you raised an eyebrow.
“Seriously? That’s your issue with all of this?” You said before again in the direction you were walking before.
“Its killing me.” He said again making Sam glare at him.
“Let it go, man.” said Sam.
As the three of you got to Rebecca’s house without being spotted by the cops. You spotted the Impala in the driveway.
“Ah, there she is. Finally, something went right tonight.” He said with joy as the three of you walked toward the car and as if god was trying to tell him that he spoke too soon you heard sirens of police cars. “Or maybe not.” you commented
“Oh crap.” Dean said. You turn to find another way but there were already 3 cop cars surrounding you. “This way, this way.” Dean said and pointed toward a gray fence.
“You go. We’ll hold them off.” You told Dean.
“They can’t hold us, just go. Keep out of sight. Meet us at Rebecca’s.” said Sam.
“Dean, stay out of the sewers alone.” You said as he climbed over the fence. “I mean it.” You yelled when he didn’t give any reaction. “Yeah, yeah.” He yelled back.
“Don’t move. Keep your hands where i can see ‘em.” you heard a man say as you got surrounded by cops. You pulled down your top a little and got ready for your innocent act as you and Sam put your hands up in surrender position.
Cleavage and innocent eyes, deadliest combination on this earth, and not even a single s immune to it.
“Who are you?” One of them asked as they got closer you realized he was the leader of the squad.
“Don’t say a single word, Sam. Let me handle this.” You whispered to the tall man. “I’m Alex, this is Sam, my friend.” You said with a sweet smile.
“What are you doing here?” He asked a little softly this time. He eyes kept switching between your breast and face and finally he settled for your face.
“We went to Stanford with Rebecca. We were staying in the town so she called and asked us to stay the night with her. She sounded really scared. By the way how is she? Is she alright? Did he hurt her too much?” You asked with a panic in your voice.
“Calm down, miss. She’s alright now And I’ll make sure you and your friend are safe.” He said.
“Thank you so much.” You said finally putting your hands down, Sam following your lead.
“What’s with the blood?” He asked pointing at the wound on your temple.
“Oh, I slipped in the shower this morning. I guess its bleeding again.” You said touching the wound.
“Here.” He said handing you his handkerchief. “Be safe.” You returned his smile and walked away with Sam to Rebecca’s.
“Wow. How’d you do that?”
“Breast are a very generous gift of god to women, Sam. Even you are staring.” You said with a smirk.
“Sorry.” He apologized and looked away before ringing Rebecca’s doorbell. She opened the door and surprising she looked just fine. Something was not right , she looked too calm for a woman who just got attacked. She was setting off all kinds of alarms in your head. But you decided to keep your thought to yourself.
“Hey, Alex could you help me with something in the kitchen.” She said and walked in the said room. You looked at Sam with a raised eyebrow and he just shrugged his shoulder. The woman who hated you this morning suddenly needed your help? If that’s not strange you don’t know what is.
Anyway, you walked inside the room and Rebecca was nowhere in sight. Before you could turn around to look at the other side something hit the back of your head and everything blacked out the next second.
The shifter smirked in victory and picked up the girl. “God she’s heavier than she looks.” She groaned, putting you on a chair in another room and tying you up. She took off your jacket so it was easier to tie a rope around you, when she was sure you would’t brake out she took two beer bottles out of the fridge for her and Sam and walked in the living room.
“Where’s Alex?” Sam asked.
“Oh she said she wanted to use the washroom.” Rebecca said handing Sam a bottle. “By the way she told me.”
“She told you what?” Sam asked with a frown.
“That it wasn’t Dean that attacked me, it was some sort of shapeshifter. Please tell me she’s lying, Sam.” Sam sighed at her words.
“Why’d she lie?” he asked with an raised eyebrow.
“Sorry to say this but she’s a kid, she doesn’t understand the seriousness of this situation and she’s just insensitive.” Rebecca said and Sam scoffed, he was offended that she would say that about his best friend.
“No she’s not. She’s just as sensitive as a human should be. And by the way she’s telling the truth. It wasn’t Dean, it was a shapeshifter.”
“Ok, so let’s say this shapeshifter is real. By the way you know you guys are crazy. But, um, say it is real. How do you stop it?” Rebecca asked, a little too calm for someone who just learnt that monsters are real and one of ‘em attacked her.
“Silver bullet to the heart.” Sam said.
“You are crazy.” with that the shifter hit him hard with the beer bottle she was holding and knocked him out and her eyes flashed white.
You came back to senses just in time to see Rebecca tying up Sam. You acted like you were still out as she walked out of the room.
“Sam, Sammy, hey.” you whispered in hope that it will make him get up. “Sammy, can you hear me?”
“Oh look who’s up. Good mornin’ sweetcheeks.” A voice beside you said and you looked up to see the shifter changed back into Dean.
“You didn’t like that look very much, I see.” You made a remark.
“Oh I did, She’s really gorgeous. But you know then I thought, it would be more fun to kill you if I looked like this. Imagine, your last memory would be The love of your life carving you up.” The shifter said as he walked closer to you. You glared at him.
“Fuck you.” You spitted out.
“Oh sweetheart I wish we could but right now I’m a little busy right now.” He said and just then you heard Sam grunting.
“Oh, look. Sammy’s up too. We have audience now.” Dean said and walked away from you and toward your best friend.
“Rise and shine, little brother.” He said and leaned down to look at Sam.
“What you gonna do to us?” Sam asked
“Oh, I’m not gonna do anything to you. Dean will though.” The shifter said, opening the drawer and looking for something.
“They’ll never catch him.” Sam said and you try to use the shifter’s distraction as your profit and started wiggling in the ropes to loosen the knot.
“Oh, it doesn’t matter. Murder in the first on his own brother, and a minor.” He said as he looked at you “He’ll be hunted for his whole life.” Your eyes widen as he took out a knife.
“I must say... I will be sorry to lose this skin. Your brother’s got a lot of good qualities, you should appreciate him more than you do.” The shifter said and after a while of silence he walked up to the bar and made himself a drink. “Cheers.” He pulled out the knife again walked closer to you. “I really hoped we could have some fun before i killed you.” He smirked.
“Hey, stay away from her.” Sam grunted.
“Oh i don’t think so.” The shifter replied as he ran the knife across the bare skin above your chest drawing blood out. You hissed out in pain.
“I dare you untie me, you fucking coward. I’ll chop your dick off.” You threatened which made him angry and he slapped you right across the face with the back of his hand and you could taste to iron of your blood in your mouth. You heard Sam yelling at the shifter from across you.
“Does she always talk this much?” He asked Sam and turn toward him. “How do you guys not get annoyed by this bitch?” He then slammed the knife in the pool table beside you and came back to you. You looked at Sam and then pointed toward the knife.
When Sam was close enough to the pool table you kicked the shifter hard in the shin and he fell down across the room. Sam took the chance and cut his rope from the knife. He took the knife and stood up but before he could help you out the shifter attacked him again.
They started throwing punches at each other and you groaned out in frustration as you couldn’t get out of the rope and help Sam.
“Not bad, little brother.” the shifter said as Sam kicked him and twisted his arm behind his back.
“You’re not him.” Sam said and the shifter shoved him and he fell on the pool table. Sam got up again but the shifter was faster, he punched him in the face and kneed him in the abdomen. Shifter threw Sam on the bookshelf, breaking it.
“Even when we were kinds I kicked your ass.” The shifter said as Sam crawled out of the bookshelf. The shifter picked up a que and swung it toward Sam but Sam was fast enough. He swung it again breaking the lights over the pool table. Before he could swing it for the third time Sam kicked him in the stomach and he fell back. They started punching each other again and soon the shifter goth the upper hand and shoved Sam down, straddling him. He wrapped his hand around Sam’s neck and started chocking him.
You were at verge of tears by now, hoping that Dean would come here soon. You were so angry at yourself that you couldn’t get out of a rope. Sam was struggling in front of you and you couldn’t do anything.
“Hey.” You heard Dean’s voice behind you, the real Dean pointing a gun at his doppelganger. The shifter Dean backed away from Sam and Dean fired two shots killing the shifter, he dropped on a seat against the wall.
“Sam.” Rebecca rushed toward Sam and Dean ran toward you.
“Hey, sweetheart. You OK?” He asked and you nodded. As soon as he freed you from the rope you jumped in his arms and hugged him tightly.
“I’m so sorry I couldn’t help Sam.” You whispered and your voice shook a little like you were about to cry.
“Hey, its OK. You didn’t really have a choice, you were tied up.” He said pulling away and holding your face in his palms.
“Yeah and i could’t even get out of it. I’m so useless-”
“Hey. shhh, you're not useless, OK. You did great in this hunt.He said pressing his lips against your forehead and then pulling you back into a hug.
Then Dean walked up to the shifter and snatched the amulet he was wearing around his neck.
The three of you decided to leave Rebecca's place in the morning. You walked out to see Dean leaned over the Impala with a map. Sam was still inside having a chat with Rebecca. “Hey.” You said as you walked over to Dean and he looked up from his map. “I wanted to talk to you..... Alone.”
“Yeah, me too.” He replied and turn completely toward you. “You go first then.” You told him.
“OK.....I talked to Sam last night. And he told me what happened.” He said and you looked down at your feet. “Hey, look at me...I would never, ever, not even in my dream think about touching you without your consent. I would never do something that you are uncomfortable with.” He said, holding your chin and looking into your eyes.
“I know that, that’s why I knew it wasn’t you.” You replied with a smile. “You should know something too.”
“What?”
“I would never ever, not even in my dreams, think about leaving you.” You said remembering what the shifter had told you and Sam in the sewer.
“How’d that come up?”
“I just thought that you should know. You’re stuck with me, as long as I’m alive.”
“I know that. Thank you.....Can I kiss you?” He asked stroking your cheek.
“You know you don’t have to ask.” with that he captured your lips in a sweet kiss.
You kissed back as you wrapped your arms around his neck,, his hand was holding your face gently. The kiss was sweet and sensual, you swear you could melt into him. You pulled away after a few seconds and right after that Sam and Rebecca walked out. You looked down at your feet so you could hide the big stupid smile from your face. They were talking about something that you couldn’t figure out from the distance.
She hugged Sam and waved at you and Dean before walking back inside.
“So what about your friend Zach?” Dean asked as Sam walked up to you and him.
“The cops are blaming this Dean Winchester guy for Emily’s murder. Found the murder weapon in his lair. Zach’s clothes stained with her blood. Now they’re thinking maybe the surveillance tape was tampered with. Becca says Zach will be released soon.” With that the three of you got in the car and drove away from the town.
“Sorry, guys.” Dean said somewhere between the ride.
”About what?” Sam asked
“I really wish things could be different, you know? I wish you both just could be Joe college.”
“Ah, its Okay, you know, truth is even in Stanford deep down I never really fit in.”
“That’s because you’re a freak.”
“Yeah thanks, but if I’m a freak what’d you say about Alex? She had a knife collection.” Sam replied, making you laugh, well it was true. you were a freak.
“Well I’m a freak too. And we are in this together, all the way.” He said making eye contact with you through the rear view.”You know I gotta say, I’m sorry I’m gonna miss it.”
“Miss what?” You asked.
“How many chances am I gonna have to see my own funeral?”

Backstory part 1
Season one. Episode one.
Pilot (part 1)

"Ok, so how does this one look?" The blonde asks her best friend as she did a fashion show for her in Halloween costumes.
"Jess, honey, you are beautiful. You can wear a sack to the party and still look hot." The other girl replied. "By the way what with all the last-minute shopping. Don't you usually have your dresses ready about a few million years ago?" She added as she kept munching on her fries.
"oh, don't get me started on that. I bought my dress 2 months ago and yesterday I was trying it on and Sam spilled coffee on it." Jess said making Alex let out a gasp before she started to chuckle. "It's not funny" she picked some of Alex's fries and threw them on her. "I am sorry, I'm sorry. I am just imagining the look on your face. Is he still alive?" She asked sarcastically.
"Yeah. Good for him I love him too much." She said and grabbed one more dress and stormed inside the dressing room again. "I swear to God this one is the last, even if I look like an idiot in it." she huffed out and closed the door.
"I can't believe this is your first Halloween in college and you are not coming to the party," Jessica said from the dressing room as she tried on yet another dress. They have been here for at least two hours now and still, Jess couldn't find 'a perfect dress'. Alex can admit that she was a bit irritated now but she couldn't do anything about it. Jessica was a best friend, even if she was older than her. When Jessica and Alex first met, they instantly clicked. Alex was a bit too young for college and Jessica was the only one who wasn't weird about it.
"I don't have a date. It would be weird if I show up without a date." She kept munching on fries. "I mean no one even asked me to be their date. Do I look that bad?" She wondered loudly.
"You kidding me? Have you seen yourself?" Jessica poked her head out of the dressing room. "Trust me, sweetheart, if I wasn't dating Sam I would definitely hit on you. Even though I'm straight." Jessica added making Alex laugh. "Trust me, people not asking you on a date has nothing to do with your looks." she came out wearing a small nurse costume.
"oh my god, this looks really good on you." for the first time Alex stopped eating as she gaped at her best friend. "Right? And this goes perfect with the lingerie" Jess squealed at Alex. "You bought lingerie? wow, Sam is getting really lucky tonight." Alex winked at her best friend making her blush. Even after all this time of dating, small things still make her blush. "By the way, what were you saying about guys not asking me on a date?"
"I was saying that it has nothing to do with your looks. Well, it's because they're scared of you." Jessica finally said as she changed into her normal clothes. "What!? Scared of me? Why? Do I look scary?" she asked confused as she scrunched up her nose.
"No, you don't look scary. Maybe it has to do something with you punching the varsity jock on the first day of college." Jessica said and she finally came out of that dressing room in her normal clothes and a small white dress in her arm. Alex looks behind Jessica to see a pile of costumes, her eyes widened when she saw just how many costumes she had tried on since they have been here. "hey, so I'll take this one, and do you guys have those white nurse’s hats?" She asked the woman who was assisting them and the woman nodded. "Yeah, so I'll have one of those. Thank you" she handed her the dress and then they made their way to the counter.
"it wasn't my fault. He was being a dick to me. And it was just a small punch." Alex justified herself. On the first day of college, Alex ran into Toby, who was the captain of the football team. She accidentally spilled coffee on him. She said sorry and he said 'I will only accept your apology if you go on a date with me' she simply said 'No' and walked past him but he grabbed her hand and pulled her back and started insulting her in front of the whole cafeteria. He said something about her age and how she must have slept with her old teachers to graduate from high school so early. And she was silent, she didn't say anything but as soon as his hand went to her ass she lost it. She twisted his arm and punched his face. The guy still wears caste in his hand. But soon rumors started that the new girl is a freak and she punched Toby just because he asked her out.
"Small punch? Alex, you broke the guy's nose. I am not saying he didn't deserve it or anything, but maybe that's why guys are scared to ask you out." Jessica said as she paid for her dress and hat. They made their way outside in the parking lot to Alex's car. It was a 1965 playmount Baracuda. The car was the only thing left that Alex could call hers, she loved her car more than anything. "You know what? You don't need a guy. I'm calling Sam and telling him that you are coming with us." Jess said as she dialed Sam's number. "And that way you can finally meet him officially. Dammit, Sam, pick up" she muttered the last part to herself.
"Even though I go with you guys are you sure I am allowed there, I mean I am not even 21 yet."
"Alex nobody's gonna ask for your ID. you are a college student now. take a chill pill."
"You are not backing out are you?"
"Nope, not till you agree."
"Ok fine. but I'm not wearing a dress."
*******
You stood outside the frat house where the party was held. You were dressed in skinny Black jeans and a white tank top, a brown leather jacket on top of it. You weren't the one to dress up, especially not ON Halloween. Ever since you found out about the monsters, dressing up like one of them wasn't really fun for you. But you did put on some minimal amount of makeup, just so Jess wouldn't Chew your head off for not dressing up. She said Sam and her would meet you outside the frat house but as usual, she was late.
"Alex," you turn around to see a very happy Jessica Lee Moore dressed in her small nurse dress as she ran up to you and pulled you in a bone-crushing hug. There was an inhumanly tall guy who caught up to her and was smiling at his adorable girlfriend. "You made it." she beamed at you and pulled away.
"I didn't really have a choice after you threatened me," you said making the boy chuckle and that was the first time you paid attention to him. Your eyes widened as you saw him. There were a lot of changes in him but mostly he looked the same. When you joined college you weren't sure you were ever gonna meet anyone from your old life let alone a Winchester. Well, except Bobby, he kind of adopted you. "Woah, when you said your boyfriend was Sam, you forgot to mention it was Winchester." He looked a little confused but then he remembered you
"Wait Alex, as in Alex Livingston?" He said and you could tell that he wasn't really happy about meeting you. "Wow, you grew up," he said with a soft smile as he held his hand out for you to shake. Jess was looking at you both with a confused expression.
"You guys know each other?" She asked and before you could say anything Sam answered. "Yeah, our fathers were kind of friends." You could tell he was paranoid about Jess ever finding out about his old life and to be honest you would be too if you had such a great relationship with someone.
"Ok let's go inside," Jess said as she grabbed both of your arms with each of her hands and dragged both of you inside. Sam gave you a look and nod assuring you that Jess didn't know anything about the supernatural. And he wasn't really comfortable about meeting you after so many years. Once you were all inside you could actually see why people love Halloween so much. The loud music was already making your head hurt.
"so here's to Sam and his awesome LSAT victory," Jess said as you all sat around the table with shots in your hand with a few of their friends that I barely knew. You didn't know he was so good with studies, he was always a brilliant kid but 174? That's too good even for him.
"Alright, alright, it's not that big of a deal," Sam said 'oh modest are we?' you thought.
"He acts all humble but he scored 174." You knew this because Jess told you before. That made them laugh a little.
"Is that good?" A guy asked that you forgot the name of, 'maybe it was Luis. Whatever you thought. "Scary good," Jess replied.
"See, there you go. You are a first-round draft pick. You can go to any law College you want" Luis said, at least that's what you thought his name was.
"Actually, I got an interview here. Monday." Sam replied. Wow, he was scary good. You took one more shot. "If it goes ok I got a shot at a full ride next year" and with that, you blocked his voice. He was making you feel too bad about yourself. You got to do something about your competitive behavior, that is the reason you don't have many friends.
"How does it feel to be the golden boy of your family?" You ask feeling a bit more confident after the shots. Sam gave you a look, he knew you knew about him running away, you felt like such a bitch for asking him that but what could you do, you got that foot-in-mouth disease. "They don't know," he said not taking his eyes off of you. Oh, if only looks could kill you would be dead. You always had fun teasing Sam.
"No? I would be gloating. Why not?" Luis said and you kept your mouth shut this time as you took another shot. Curious for Sam's answer, you smirked at him and he glared at you again.
"Because we are not exactly the Brady's," Sam said finally looking away from you. "I'm not exactly the Huxtable. More shots?" Luis said making you laugh. Wait, why were you laughing again, it was not even a good joke. "No," both Sam and Jess said together. "I'll come with you," you called out and went after Luis, you can't really stand being the third wheel right now.
"So Alex, tell me something about you?" Luis asked as we reached the bar. "There's nothing really interesting about me, trust me you don't wanna know," you said and asked the bartender for one more shot. It was nice being a college student, no one asked for IDs. It's not like you didn't have any fake ones.
"Aren't you too young for college? If you don't mind me asking?" He asked as he slid another shot toward you but you shook your head.
"Yeah, my teachers thought I was too smart for high school," you said making him laugh. " Just kidding. I started school earlier than most kids" you said and he nodded his head.
"I have to say, you made quite the first impression on the whole college," he said with a wink. "I'm with you, by the way, you did the right thing, he totally deserved that."
"and I'll do it again if I have to."
******
Jess offered you to stay with her and Sam tonight since you were too drunk to drive and their place was closer so you left the car at the frat house and went to their place with them. The plan was to leave tonight for the case but now you were too tired so you decided to rest the night and leave in the morning. Their couch wasn't the most comfortable but at least it was more comfortable than the motel bed. You still haven't found yourself a place to live.
Sam lent you one of his big t-shirt and Jess lent you one of her pajama shorts. You have to say his shirt was too big and too comfortable and you're sure never gonna return it.
You were trying so hard to sleep but every time you close your eyes the same images comes back to haunt you. You're pretty used to not sleeping at night because of the nightmares, especially when you are alone, which was most of the time. You suddenly heard shuffling of feet but you to brushed it off thinking it was Sam or Jess but then you saw a silhouette, he was a bit short for Sam and it was definitely not a girl. You searched for your gun but realized it was still in your car so you grabbed the next thing you could which was a vase. You slowly made your way toward him as he made his way to the kitchen.
You lift the vase over your head, ready to hit him but he was too fast, he turned around and grabbed you and pinned you to the nearest wall. You swear if you weren't drunk or hungover you could kick his ass so hard that he wouldn't be able to sit for the next week. You were about to scream but he's put his one hand on your mouth which wasn't gripping your waist and pinning you to the wall.
"Shhh, I'm not gonna hurt you, Sweetheart," he said and you bit his hand making him flinch and pull his hand back but he still didn't leave you. "Oh, I'm not your sweetheart, Sweetheart, and trust me if I wasn't so drunk right now you would be dead twice already." You spat and glared at him and then pushed him away from you. You were about to punch him but Sam already got him from behind but again the man was too fast and blocked his punch. They threw punches at each other for a while but soon he had Sam pinned to the ground.
"Woah, easy tiger," the man said. You just stood there and stared at both of them, maybe you were not in the mood of punching someone.
"Dean?" 'Wait, Dean as in Dean Winchester? When did he become so hot? ' you thought to yourself. "You scared the crap out of me," Sam said as Dean kept chuckling.
"Ya right, he attacked me and he scared the crap out of you," you said sarcastically. Both of them were panting as he looked at you. "I attacked you? You attacked me first." he defended himself.
"Yeah, well, next time you break into someone's house don't expect them to offer you butterscotch," you said and he got up with a smirk on his face
"I have to say, Sammy, your girl got spunk," he said as his eyes roam up and down your body, not even bothering to look at your face.
"that's not... whatever. What the hell are you doing here?" Sam asked.
"Looking for a beer"
"Sam?" You looked up at Jessica as she turned on the lights making both of the boys turn to her.
"Jess, hey. Dean this is my girlfriend Jessica." Sam said as Dean looked at Jess and then at you. "You having a party or something?" Dean asked with a smirk.
"Your brother Dean?" Jessica asked ignoring his comment. "I love the smurfs," Dean said referring to her t-shirt. "I have to tell you, you are completely out of my brother's league," he added walking toward her. "But seriously, You having a party or something?" He asked looking back at you or more like your chest.
"Dean, that's Alex...Livingston." Sam said and Dean's eyes widened. "Wait, our Alex?" He asked and walked closer to you and you nodded with a cold look on your face. You have to say 'he looks hot' but you kept your thoughts to yourself. "Well, you grew up," he said once again looking down at your body.
"Anyway, I got to borrow Sam here. Talk about some private family business but... It's nice meeting you." he said as he turned back to Jess.
"No...no, whatever you wanna say you can say in front of her." Sam walked back to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"Ok..umm, Dad hasn't been home in a few days." He said, making you frown. The last thing you remember about John was that he was pulling you out from a house full of vamps when you were half dead. It was the death anniversary of your mom and you were kind of on a suicide mission. He saved your life and not only once but twice, and you'll always owe him that.
"So? He's working overtime on a Miller time shift. He'll stumble back in sooner or later."
"Dad's on a hunting trip... And he hasn't been home in a few days." Dean said making Sam's eyes widen a little. John's missing? Well that's weird he was the best damn hunter you know, if anyone could go missing on a case, it definitely wasn't John.
"Jess, excuse us," Sam said and you turn to leave as well but Dean grabbed your wrist. "it's ok, you can stay," He said making you frown. "I mean if you want to." He added and left your wrist.
*******
"I mean, you can't just break in the middle of the night and expect me to hit the road with you," Sam said as you made your way downstairs. You were still wearing Sam's shirt but you changed into your jeans from last night. The boys were completely ignoring you, you weren't even sure if you are supposed to go with them or not. But if it was about John you wanted in.
"you are not hearing me, Sammy. Dad's missing. I need you to help me find him." Dean replied as you continue making your way downstairs.
"You remember the poltergeist in Amherst? Or The devil's gate in Clifton? He was missing then too" you remember those hunts, you were with him on both of them. "He is always missing and he is always fine"
"Not for this long," Dean replied as we finally reached downstairs. "Are you gonna come with me or not?"
"I'm not." 'wow, so much for being a son' you thought. You have seen John with dean and Sam while growing up, he was not a perfect father but at least he wasn't like yours. He never laid a hand on Sam or Dean, not in a bad way, and for you that was pretty much perfect.
"why not?" I finally asked.
"I swore I was done hunting. For good" Sam replied as he looked at you.
"Come on, it wasn't easy but it wasn't that bad," Dean said and turned around making his way towards the main door. Me and Sam following him. "Yeah? when I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, give me a .45." Sam said as they stopped in front of the gate. Right now you wanted to get out of this awkward family fight more than anything, it was getting too weird, even for you.
"what was he supposed to do?"
"I was nine years old, he was supposed to say don't be afraid of the dark"
"don't be afraid of the dark? Are you kidding me? Of course, you should be afraid of the dark, you know what's out there" with that you pushed past them and got outside of the gate. "Too much testosterone for one night" you mumbled under your breath. You could feel Dean's eyes on the back of your head. They continued fighting as you waited for them outside.
"Man, Dean, we were raised like warriors" you heard Sam say as they both walked out.
"so what you gonna do? You gonna live some normal apple pie life? Is that it?" Dean asked
"no, not normal. Safe" you really felt for sam to be honest. He got a great life here, a great girlfriend, a great LSAT score, why would anyone want to leave that life for hunting. "And that's why you ran away?"
"I was just going to college. It was dad who said if I was gonna go I should stay gone and that's what I'm doing."
"dad is in real trouble right now. And he's not dead already, I can feel it," he said and you felt bad for Dean too, he really needed his brother right now. "I can't do this alone."
"Yes, you can."
"yeah well, I don't want to," Dean said and Sam let out a long sigh.
"what was he hunting?" Sam asked finally giving up making a smile come across your face.
"Alex." Dean finally turned to you and the brothers stopped ignoring you. 'God, finally' you thought. "You don't have to come with us, I mean, you got your own things to do." He said but you shook your head.
"No, Dean, if this is about John then I definitely want in." You said and the boys gave you questioning looks. "He saved my life a couple of years back, twice. And I owe him that." You said making Dean smile.
"Ok then let's get this show on the road."
*******
"All right let's see. Where the hell did I put that thing?" Dean mumbled to himself as he opened the trunk of the black Impala and all three of you leaned over it. You have to say, she was still as beautiful as you last saw her. You almost loved her as much as your own baby, Almost.
"so when dad left, why didn't you go with him," Sammy asked.
"I was working my own gig. This voodoo thing down in New Orleans." Dean replied as he continued searching for whatever that he was searching for.
"Dad let you go on a hunting trip by yourself?"
"I'm 26, dude," Dean said, for a second your eyes went down to his ass but you reminded yourself there were more important things on your plate right now. "Alright, here we go." He said as he pulled out some papers from the trunk.
"So Dad was checking out this two-lane blacktop just outside Jericho, California."
"wait. Jericho?" You asked grabbing the papers from him. "I was heading there for a case. Missing folks." I said reading the article.
"Yeah, that's the one. About a month ago this guy..." He pointed at the photo on the paper while staring straight at my face, standing a bit too close to me. Sam walked around to look at the paper over my shoulder. "Yeah, they found his car but he'd vanished." I finished his sentence.
"complete MIA" Dean said still not taking his eyes off of me.
"so maybe he was kidnapped," Sam said looking at both of you simultaneously. "Yeah, well here's another one in April " he finally took his eyes off of you to hand another paper to you. "Another one on December '04, '03, '98, '92. Ten of them over the past 20 years. All men, all same 5-mile stretch of road." You said remembering the details from your case file.
"It started happening more and more, so Dad went to dig around. That was 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard from him since, which is bad enough, then I get this voice mail yesterday" Dean said taking out a phone to play the voicemail for us.
"Dean, something is starting to happen. I think it's serious. I need to try to figure out what's going on." John's voice came from the recording but the quality was very poor. "Be very careful, Dean. We are all in danger."
"you know there's EVP on that?" You said as soon as the mail ended.
"not bad, Alex. Kind of like riding a bike, isn't it?" He said and you rolled your eyes. "Alright, I slowed the message down. I ran it through goldwave, took out the hiss and this is what I got."
"I can never go home." You heard a woman on the recording. "Never go home" sam repeated as you all stepped back as Dean closed the trunk of the impala.
"you gotta drive me back to the frat house." You said and Dean looked at you with a frown. "Why?" He asked. "Got my car back there. My duffle is inside that... And my guns."
"You still drive that Cherry red beauty Bobby gifted you?" Dean asked with a smirk and you nodded. "Ok hop in." He said and you got in the back seat of the Impala giving them some privacy to talk. After a few seconds, Dean came and got inside the driver's seat.
"Where's Sam?"
"Went to pack and say goodbye to Jess. I guess." There was a minute of awkward silence as you kept staring at each other through the rearview mirror. "So, Alex, tell me, you flying solo?"
"Yeah, I've been hunting alone for 2 years now."
"and Bobby let you?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Nobody let me do anything, Dean. I do what I want. It's not like I have a family waiting for me to come back alive." You said and Dean gave you a sad smile.
"I'm sorry for your Dad, kiddo. The man was a good Hunter."
"Don't be" 'he got what he deserved' you wanted to add but decided against it. Knowing how much Dean worships his father you knew he wouldn't appreciate you talking shit about yours.

Pilot part 1
Season one. Episode one.
Pilot (part 2)

You woke up in the back seat of the Impala. You were still wearing Sam's shirt and your jeans from last night. The car was stopped in front of a gas station. You guys left last night or more like this morning for Jericho. You drove your car back to your motel room. You have to say you already missed your car. Sam was sitting on the front seat and Dean was not in the car.
"Hey, you want some breakfast?" You heard Dean said and you poked your head out from the window. "Hey, you're up." He smiled at you.
"no. Thanks" Sam said as the same time you nodded your head. "I'll have some. I'm hungry, trust me you guys don't want to face me hungry." You mumbled and turn back to Sam and he let out a chuckle.
"so how'd you pay for that stuff ? You and Dad still running credit card scams?" Sam asked checking out Dean's fake cards.
"yeah, well hunting ain't exactly a pro-ball career." Dean said as he filled the gas tank of the car. "Except, all we do is apply, it's not our fault they send us the cards." Making you laugh for the first time since last night.
"yeah, and what names did you write on application this time?"
"uh, Bert Aframian and his son, Hector. Scored two cards out of the deal." Dean said handing you a big packet of chips and you instantly opened it and started munching. "Slow down sweetheart, you gonna choke."
"would you rather it be your head instead of chips?" You asked and he felt silent "yeah then shut up." You said and continued munching.
"you really aren't a morning person are you?" Sam laughed and you ignored him.
"I swear to God, man, you gotta update your cassette tape collection." Sam said looking through Dean's Cassette tape collection.
"why?" Dean asked almost offended.
"well, for one, they're cassette tapes. And two, Black Sabbath? Motorhead? Metallica? It's the greatest hits of mullet rock." You had to agree with Sam on this. Dean got a crappy taste in music.
"house rules, Sammy, driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole." Dean said throwing one of the cassette back in the collection making you laugh for the second time
"you know, Sammy in a chubby 12 year old boy. It's Sam, okay?" Sam corrected his brothers 'a gift of the world ' by 'the loveless' started to play. 'huh, I really like this song. Maybe it's not that crappy after all. ' you thought to yourself.
"Sorry, I can't hear you. The music's too loud." Dean replied and pulled away from the gas stop.
"Quit flirting you two, I feel like a third wheel now." You said sarcastically.
"oh if anyone's a third wheel here, it's Sam, not you , sweetheart." Dean flirted and you glared at him through the rare view. He stopped smirking when he saw the look on my face. "Sorry" he mumbled. You let out a silent chuckle when he looked away from you. It felt nice not being alone on a hunt, having not only one but two partners. It was only better that both of them were your childhood friends, they knew you and did not judge you because of your weirdness. Last night was first night in a while that you actually slept without a nightmare. Maybe it was because you knew there was someone with you.
*******
"alright, there's no one matching dad at the hospital or morgue. So that's something, I guess." A few hours along the ride Sam decided to call all the hospitals in and around Jericho to see John was still alive.
"check it out." Dean said and you looked ahead to see a bunch of cops on the bridge. 'they must have found another car or something.' Dean stopped the car near the bridge and then turned around to face me after he grabbed his fake ID from the glove compartment.
"we'll go talk to the cops, you stay inside." He said making you frown.
"the hell I am " you exclaimed almost offended.
"Alex, Dean is right. You look too young to be a cop, you have to stay inside." Sam agreed with dean
"I'm a trainee." You said and pulled out your fake ID. "And that works?" Dean asked pointing at it. "Mostly." You shrugged. Sam exchanged a look with his brother. "Ok so you're staying inside." This time he did not wait for a reply and stepped out from the car and both of them too of and went towards the cops.
"you're staying inside" you said in a mocking voice. "The hell I am." You said and walked from the car and toward the cops where the boys were already talking to them.
"and who are you?" The deputy asked the boys when you got there. "Federal Marshalls" Dean replied holding up how ID. "You two are a little young for Marshalls aren't you?"
"thanks that's awfully kind of you." Dean let out a small fake chuckle. "And you?" The deputy pointed at me and the brothers turned around. Dean rolled his eyes and Sam was glaring at me.
"umm, I'm a trainee. I was working the case under sheriff Simmons. I thought he called you in about sending a trainee." You put on your most innocent face and it looked like the deputy actually trusted you more than he trust the brothers. "Ya, ya. He actually texted me, Mariah Larrison right?"
"yup, that's me." You handed him your ID. God bless you and your hacking talent. You weren't a pro but you could hack into a phone or two. "He told me a lot about you. I am very excited to work the case under you." You batted your eyelashes. He nodded with a smile as he looked very proud of himself. You had already planned all of these out before. Dean looked extremely irritated now and Sam looked some what impressed.
"so, you did have another one just like this correct?" Dean asked bringing everyone's attention back to himself.
"that's right, a mile up the road. There have been other's before that." The deputy replied.
"so this victim...you knew him?" Sam asked.
"a town like this, everybody knows everybody."
"any connection between the victims, besides that they're all men?" You asked looking at the Vic's car.
"no. Not so far as we can tell."
"so what's the theory?" Sam asked as he went around to look at the car as well, he walked around and stood beside Dean.
"honestly we don't know. Serial murder, kidnapping ring." Jeffe replied.
"that is exactly the kind of crap police work I would expect of you guys." Dean said making Sam stomp on his foot.
"thanks for your time. Gentleman." You covered up as the deputy kept frowning at all three of you. You made your way to the car and you glared at Dean. Dean slapped the back of Sam's head as soon as you guys were a bit far from the cops.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"why'd you step on my foot?"
"why'd you have to talk to the police like that?" Sam spat back.
"come on. They don't really know what's going on. We are all alone in this. If we are gonna find dad we've got to get to the bottom of this thing ourselves." dean said looking directly in his eyes. I tried walking past him but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back in front of him. "And you. I told you to stay inside."
"this was my case, Dean. You can't just bench me. And I told you this before, you don't tell me what to do, and well, thanks to me they actually believed you guys." You hissed and pried your hand away from his.
"can I help you boys?"came a voice and you looked up to see the sheriff standing there with two men.
"no sir. We were just leaving." Dean replied. "Agent Mulder. Agent Scully." You tried to walk past them but the Sharif opened his mouth again. "And you, little lady."
'who the hell are you calling little lady, old man.' you wanted to say but instead you put on a big smile and say "I'm the trainee, Mariah Larrison." He nodded and I smiled again before walking away. Sam was already inside the shotgun but Dean was standing outside.
"I'm sorry " he said. "You are right, it's your case, I won't tell you what to do. From now you take the lead and you tell us what to do." He said making you smile.
"you don't have to."
"No, I-"
"ok, we are going to meet Amy Hein." You cut him off and happily got inside the backseat and Dean was speechless still standing outside. "Come on, you said you'll do what I say, now get inside the car." Dean got inside the driver seat murmuring something under his breath.
*******
"I'll bet you that's her." Dean said as you followed the girl who was putting up posters of her missing boyfriend. "You must be Amy." You asked the girl as you guys approach her.
Yeah." She replied.
"Troy told us about you. We're his uncles. This is my girlfriend, Alex. I'm Dean, this is Sammy." Dean told the girl and I shot him a look.
"He never mentioned you to me." She said looking at all three of you then she turned around to resume her work, all three of you following her. "Well, that's Troy, I guess. We're not around much. We're up in Modesto." Dean said.
"so we're looking for him too." Sammy stepped forward. 'wow, so much for me taking the lead.' "and we are kind of asking ground." He added as you came to a stop.
"hey, are you ok?" A weird goth girl came up to Amy and asked her. "Yeah." Amy replied.
"do you mind if we ask you couple questions?" you asked her giving a sympathetic smile which was pretty hard for you because you suck at showing sympathy. "Yeah sure, I guess. We can sit inside." She said while returning your smile.
"I was on the phone with Troy. He was driving home. He said he would call me right back button about it." Said Amy as you guys sat inside, her voice was cracking up. "You didn't say anything strange? Or out of the ordinary?" You asked, trying to look as less intimidating as possible. The other girl apparently whose name was Rachel was staring at you with a strange look on her face. she was really making you uncomfortable but you didn't let it show on your face.
"no, nothing I can remember." Amy said shaking her head.
"here's the deal, ladies" Dean started leaning in more toward the table. "The way Troy disappeared, something's not right. If you've heared anything.." he continued, making the girls look at each other, having a silent conversation. "What is it?" You asked.
"well, it's just... I mean, with all these guys going missing, people talk?" Rachel finally said taking her eyes off of you.
"what do the talk about?" The brothers asked in unison making you look at them with an raised eyebrow. The girls look at each other again before Rachel spoke up.
"it's kind of this local legend. This one girl.. she got murdered out on centennial, like decades ago. " Rachel said. Dean looked at Sam then at me. "Well, supposedly, she is still out, she hitchhikes and whoever picks her up...well, they disappear forever." She completes her story and the three of you gave each other knowing looks.
"well, thank you for your time, both of you." Sam said as you stood up and made your outside the door.
"well, there is a local library, a few blocks from here, we should go and check on the lore." You said and both nodded their heads.
"whatever you say, you call the shots here, remember." Dean said making you smirk a little. You all get in the car and made your way toward the local library. The right there was pretty much silent beside Sam and Dean bickering a little like a old married couple.
When you guys got to the library you made your way toward the vecant computer, as you were about to sit in front of it Dean pushed you aside and sat down himself. "What a child." You mumbled before taking a chair and sitting beside him while Sam sat on his other side.
'female murder hitchhiking' he searched and there was no result. Then he replaced the hitchhiking with centennial but again there was no result.
"let me try" Sam said as he moved his hand toward the computer but Dean slapped it away. "I got it" he hissed. Sam pushed his chair backward and sat himself in front of the computer. "Dude!" Dean exclaimed and hit him in the arm before he wheeled back beside his brother.
"you are such a control freak."
"so angry spirits are born out of violent death right?" Sam asked you.
"yeah"
"then maybe it's not a murder." He asked as he replaced the murder on the screen with suicide. 'why haven't I thought about it?' you asked yourself. One result came up reading 'suicide in Centennial'
"this was 1981. 'Constance Welch, 24 years old, jumps off Sylvania bridge, drowns in river." Sam read the article.
"does it say what she did?" You asked at the same time Dean asked "why?"
"An hour before they found her, she calls 911. Her two little kids are in the bathtub. She leaves them for a minute and when she's back they aren't breathing... Both died"
"' our babies were gone and Constance just couldn't bear it' said husband Joseph Welch. "
"that bridge look familiar to you?" Dean asked looking at the picture of the bridge on the page. It was the same bridge where you guys meet the cops.
"you guys wanna take a trip again?" You asked
"yup" they replied in unison. All three of you for up and made your way out of the library.
"I have to say, it's nice working with you two again." Dean said getting inside the driver seat of the Impala.
"Dean, we've never worked a case together, before."
"ya... But it's still nice" he said and you will your head.
*******
"so this is where Constance took the swan dive" you said as all three of you walked to side of the bridge and looked down at the river.
"you guys think dad would have been here!" Sam asked as he did in your other side.
"well, he's chasing the same story and we are chasing him " Dean said and started walking along the bridge, you and Sam following him m
"so now what!" Sam asked.
"now we keep digging till we find him. It might take a while "
"Dean, I told you I gotta get back by-" "Monday" Dean completed Sam's sentence. "Right, the interview, I forgot." You looked between the brothers not knowing what to do. In a way you thought both of them were right, Sam only wanted to leave a normal life and Dean only wanted his brother back by his side. "you're really serious about this, aren't you? You think you're just gonna become some lawyer, marry your girl?" 'here we go again.'
"maybe, why not?"
"does Jessica knows the truth about you? I mean does she know about the things you've done?"
"no, and she's not ever going to know"
"well, that's healthy." You mumbled under your breath and the boys looked at you for a second. "you can pretend all you want, Sammy, but sooner or later you're gonna have to face up to who you really are."
"and who is that?"
"one of us."
"no! I'm not like you. I'm not like either of you. This is not gonna be my life." Sam said and you frowned at him. "Hey, I go to college too." You said but they ignored you.
"you have a responsibility "
"to dad? And his crusade? If it wasn't for pictures I wouldn't even know what mom looks like. What difference would it make? Even if we do find the thing that killed her, mom's gone and she isn't coming back." Sam said and Dean pushed him to the railing of the bridge and grabbed his collar.
"hey, hey stop, guys. This is really not the time." You pushed Dean away and stood between both of them. You put your hand on Dean's chest and he looked down at you and calmed down a little.
"don't talk about her like that." Dean warned his brother after a few seconds of silence.
"Dean, Sam" you said as you looked over and saw a girl standing over the railing of the bridge, ready to jump. You pointed at her when both the brother looked at you. The woman looked at your direction and then jumped off the bridge causing your eyes to widen. All three of you ran toward where she was standing.
"where'd she go?" Dean asked as you looked down the bridge, no sign of a woman or any life for that matter. Suddenly Dean's car roared to life and you were the first one to notice it.
"Dean." You patted on his shoulder and both of them looked at the car as well with wide eyes. "What the fuck." Dean said with wide eyes.
"who's driving your car?" Sam asked and Dean pulled out his car keys from his pocket to show you. The car started toward you and you all turned to run in opposite direction. "Come on, guys. Let's go. Go!" Sam yelled. Both of them had a lot longer legs than you which was making it harder for you to catch up with them. When the car got too close all the of you jumped off the side of the bridge but only Sam latched on the railing and you and Dean fell off and a high pitched scream left your lips. You fell in the river but heard a thud which meant Dean didn't, he fell on the side where there was only muf and goo. You crawled out and laid on the side, panting.
"you ok?" Dean asked, he was panting as well.
"yeah, I'm alive, you?"
"yeah, me too."
"Dean, Alex. You guys alright?" Sam yelled from the top of the bridge.
"I'm super." Dean replied while you only held up a thumb.
"what you laughing at, asshat." You said when Sam started laughing but he only laughed harder.
*******
"car's alright?" You asked. The first thing Dean did after you got up was check his baby. Both of you were covered with sewer water and mud, Dean a little more than you. But you bet you were colder than he was. The only thing you were wearing was the white shirt Sam lent you last night while he had a jacket on. It was sticking to your body completely. Your hot pink bra was visible through the shirt and both the brothers seemed to notice it, because Sam was trying to look away from your chest and Dean, well Dean was staring at it.
"yeah, whatever she did to it, it seems alright now." Dean replied finally looking away from you. "That constance chick.... What a bitch!" He yelled the last part as if she could hear it, and maybe she could.
"well, she doesn't want us digging around. That's for sure." Sam said as both of them at on the bonnet of the car.
"so where does the trail go from here, genius." Sam asked you and you shrugged.
"I just want a shower first." You said in a small grumpy voice.
"you bet. You guys smell like toilet." Sam said looking at you then at his brother making you glare at him. "You know what, Sammy? I think I changed my mind, I want a hug right now." You smirked at the younger Winchester and stepped forward him.
"no, stay away, Alex." He said walking away from you.
"oh come on, it's been so long." You laughed as he ran away from you and you chased him around the car.
