olliesmultimuse:
Legosi came to a stop when the other mentioned Bill, his ears flattening back. “Well, if he has a problem with us hanging out with each other, that’s his problem.” He informed the dingaroo, a hint of blush plastering across his face. “Although…I bet he’s gonna pick on us.” He murmured out softly.
Alfred stopped with the wolf, his brow rising slightly at that--and that bare, little trace of color on Legosi’s face--but the smile never left his face once. “Pfff, Bill’s nothing,” he said, sure as sunshine, “I mean - sure, he might be a bit, um... heavy-handed sometimes, but he means well. How bad could he really be?”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi’s ears flickered a bit as he listened to Alfred, seeming to understand completely. He felt his heart fluttering a bit as a soft smile plastered across his face. “I’m glad you came to me and we talked things out. Well, if you hadn’t, I would’ve been blaming myself for a very long time.” He gave a small nod, “Me either. I wouldn’t want to change this for anything else.”
Yeah, Legosi did seem the type to take something like that so deeply and personally against himself. All the better that he spoke up as quickly as he did, because even though it had been for just a couple of days, seeing Legosi so mopey and drained after that incident had been horrible and something Alfred was plenty keen not to see again, not if he could help it. The dingaroo heaved a little sigh, and smirked and chuckled as a silly little thought came to mind. “...Rex, I bet Bill’s gonna have a total field day when he sees us hanging out with each other.”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi chuckles softly at his arm being patted as he seemed relieved that he and Alfred are getting along great. Man, he should’ve been talking to Alfred a long time ago. “Really? What were you expecting to happen?” He questioned with a hint of surprise and curiosity, tilting his head with curiosity in his eyes.
“Honestly, I... don’t even know,” Alfred continued, rubbing the back of his neck with a little bit of laughter still carrying on in his voice. “All I know is, I felt awkward as heck and I just wanted to get it done and tell you I forgive you so neither of us could get distracted by it in, um- in the club later. But this?” He gestured between the two of them at the new friendship that had just blossomed. “This is... I wouldn’t ever wanna change this for anything else, honestly.”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi grinned rather brightly, his tail wagging back and forth out of excitement. “Then it’s settled. We will look out for one another.” He responded firmly, patting the other’s shoulder.
Such a bright grin as the one that lit up Legosi’s face completely changed the wolf’s entire impression and Alfred found a new little urge to give the wolf more reasons to smile like that again. The dingaroo grinned back just as warmly and reached up to give the wolf’s arm a couple pats of his own.
“That’s an arrangement I can live with,” Alfred remarked good-naturedly before crumpling into a minor fit of snickering right afterwards. “I... okay, I’ve just got to admit -- that went... s-so much better than I could ever have expected, and-- oh Rex, I’m really glad it did!”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi didn’t really chat much in the drama club but after that night, this seemed to have bring them together to be able to be friends. A soft snort escapes from his mouth, “Oh trust me, I will.” He grinned brightly, giving a thumbs-up. “I hope you will do the same for me too as well.”
Alfred nodded and winked up at the wolf in affirmation of that. Legosi could look out for him, and he’d be more than happy to look out for Legosi just as well. “Count on it, big guy,” said Alfred. “Consider yourself protected by this little fellow too, hah...!”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi frowned slightly, Alfred making a great point. It’s not gonna stop people from teasing and making fun of others. “…hey, if anybody tries to hurt you or tries to make fun of you, I’ll have a talk with them. I don’t tolerate bullying at all.” He pointed out, crossing his arms. What is he going to do if others pick on Alfred? Who knows?
They’d had a loose acquaintanceship during their time in the school’s drama club together, mostly because they were in different teams--Alfred among the actors and Legosi among the stagehands--and in different social circles, and thus hadn’t had much chance to really talk and spend any meaningful amount of time with each other.
And then the other night happened and here they were now. Two people in the same club now starting towards a proper friendship and Alfred... Alfred rather liked that, actually. Legosi was someone he’d be pretty happy to be friends with.
The dingaroo smirked once again up at the wolf. “Better hope you’re around when anyone does try anything, then.”

olliesmultimuse:
Legosi was a hybrid. A mixture of a komodo dragon and a wolf but the other doesn’t need to know that about him. “Heh…you got a point.” He agreed with Alfred, a soft smile plastering across his face. “They’re gonna embarrass themselves if they choose to mess with us.”
It was difficult to discern whether Legosi was a purebred animal or not. In stark contrast, it was easy to see that Alfred was; the pattern of fur on his face, the blue right eye, and his teeth made it obvious to everyone that he was part-canine--and since it was so out in the open, it wasn’t something he really cared to hide or even deny.
“It’s not gonna stop people from doing it,” Alfred conceded, “but at least everyone else will know they’re bullies and that’s plenty worth it to me. I’m just happy, at least, that the carnivores only go so far as playful teasing towards me, the herbivores at this school can be pretty...” He sucked in a breath through his teeth. “...Yeah...”
Louis, what are your thoughts on that strange red fox? He looks like a rival gang member, don't he, eh?
"He's rough around the edges and he may look like one, but..."

The red deer scoffed softly. "I wouldn't call him a gangster, especially since he's hanging around Legoshi and the only major fox gang in this place are all women. So long as no one does anything to piss him off again, I'm not worried."
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi seemed to understand, giving a small nod. “I see…” A soft frown plastered across the wolf’s face as he looked over to Alfred, “I’m sorry that people keep poking fun at you sometimes. That’s not good.” He pointed out, giving a small shrug. “I’m mostly trying to keep to myself while trying to make it through this year.” He explained.
“That’s good.” There was such a considerable difference in height between the two of them and Alfred had to stand a few steps away from the wolf just to look up at him without hurting his neck. It was crazy, how someone could end up so tall... Legoshi couldn’t just be a wolf, no there had to be something else in his blood.
“That’s about the best people like us can hope for. Keeping our heads down and minding our business. That way--” The dingaroo threw a little smirk up at the other. “--if anyone wants to bother us, they’ll have to go out of their way. Make ‘em show off how big of an ass they really are - eh? Heh...”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi’s eyes widened at being reminded about the drama club as he gave a small nod, “Sounds good…” He murmured out, reverting back to his timid personality and soon walking out the door, waiting for Alfred and looking back over to Alfred. He acknowledged the ‘sky’s the limit’ part by letting out a soft hum. Well, this was starting to get a bit awkward. Quick, Legosi. Try to make small talk. “Did…classes go well for you, Alfred?” That went well, right?
Alfred walked out alongside Legosi with a little breath of relief of his own, with the confrontation having gone much better than he might have expected it. “They were... alright, I guess,” he replied. “Same as usual. My grades are good and people still poke fun at me sometimes. Well... they think it’s ‘fun’. But I’m just biding my time ‘til we graduate and I can finally put this place behind me. What about you?”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi seemed rather surprised by the dingaroo’s words as he shook his head. “I suppose you’re right…” He scratched the back of his neck, seeming a bit awkward now. “Thank you for…well, pulling me off to the side and talk to me about this. I-…I appreciate it, Alfred. Really. So…what now?” He questioned with a hint of curiosity. He was relieved that the other didn’t think of him as scary.
Alfred simply shrugged and tucked his hands into his pockets, now smiling quite honestly up at the wolf. “It’s nothing, big guy,” the dingaroo replied, pulling the door open. “Glad we got to talk. And let’s make sure we’re not, uh- we’re not late to club, yeah? And after that... well, sky’s the limit, as they say, eh?”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi blinked a few times, feeling his heart being filled with relief. He sighed in relief, “O-oh…I mean…a lot of people are afraid of me but you’re not…why?” He questioned with a hint of confusion and a bit of relief, his tail seeming to wag back and forth a bit out of happiness.
Smile still on his face, Alfred’s head tilted to the side in response to that. It was a sad world that that was almost expected, that being afraid of Legosi and other animals like him was the proper, natural thing.
“Well... should I be afraid of you?” the dingaroo asked. “’Cause I mean... you’re not aggressive. You’re not... Sure, you might be outrageously tall for a wolf and you’ve got, like, the strongest poker face in the whole school but you’re one of the nicest, kindest people I know. There couldn’t possibly be a scary bone in your body.”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi’s eyes widened in genuine surprise at the other admitting that they’re not going to tell anybody about what happened. “Wait, you’re not going…” He questioned, trailing off. “I-…I’m getting the help I need but…I didn’t mean to tackle you that night. Something came over me a-and…” Alfred wasn’t angry at him? “You’re not afraid of me, are you? If you are, I’m really s-sorry…”
Alfred could only huff an amused little snicker in response to that. Him, be afraid of Legosi? Legosi, the guy who’d sit under trees and talk to the bugs there sometimes? “Good that you’re getting help but - no offense, dude, but you are probably...” It was impossible to keep the smile off his face as he continued. “...the least scary animal in the whole school! Heck, I’m more scared of Els, honestly... but no, Legosi, I’m not afraid of you.”
olliesmultimuse:
Legosi didn’t know what had come over him when he tackled Alfred and grabbed him a couple nights ago. It’s been eating at him for a few days until his eyes widened in genuine surprise at being grabbed by the upper arm and being pulled along. “Alfred, what–what are you–?” Legosi was pulled into a classroom, seeming genuinely surprised.
He blinked a few times, has he been that obvious? His ears flattened back as his tail drooped slightly. “I…I don’t think I could…I-…” A lump formed in the wolf’s throat as he looked away, avoiding eye contact with the other.
Though Legosi looked guiltier then he’d ever looked yet, Alfred still stood there between the wolf and the door. Though he hadn’t known who it was immediately, Legosi’s guilt since that night was undeniable and he’d had a couple days to think about it.
In short? He couldn’t be mad at Legosi or hate or fear him for what happened, nor could he possibly bring himself to report the incident to a teacher.
“Look - I’m not--I’m not angry,” said Alfred, rubbing at his face. “I’m not gonna get you in-in trouble either, I’m not gonna tell anyone else about it. U-Um...” The hybrid trailed off and rubbed his face again, trying to get the words straight in his head.

His nose and ears picked up on a certain wolf's proximity before his eyes found Legosi loping down the hall, looking worse than usual. Like he'd been looking the past couple of days. Which, in the dingaroo's mind, was just further confirmation that Legoshi was indeed the carnivore that had charged and grabbed him a couple nights ago.
With a little inhale to give his resolve that one final boost, Alfred picked up his pace to catch up with Legosi before he could notice him, grabbed the wolf by the upper arm, and pulled him along into one of the classrooms.
The dingaroo greatly preferred to get this dealt with, acknowledge what had happened between them and to move on from it as quickly as possible. Alfred didn't need that anxiety and terror filling his veins everytime he saw Legosi, and Legosi, gentle giant as he was, didn't need to have that weighing down on his mind either and to be honest, he hated seeing the wolf so worn down by it.
"R-Right," said Alfred, shutting the door and leaning back against it with a small sigh, his tail swaying slowly and nervously behind him. "You and I both know what this--what this is about, so... let's just... get it over with a-and put this thing behind us - okay?"
;; Had a VERY busy past few days and ended up getting delayed a lil, but I’m back and ready to get back to the blog! Getting back to writing up those pages, and in the mean time, my IMs are open for anyone who wants to chat or plot ^-^

Tom Grey fretted, wringing his hands and pacing up and down the discrete little alleyway he had earlier ducked into, the assigned meeting points for his two contacts; a cop investigating a disappearance and a lion coming to collect. He wasn’t worried or nervous about dealing with either one of them; the wolf only hoped, nay- prayed that his contacts didn’t show up at the same time.
His hopes, it seemed, were not dashed for he heard only one animal’s footsteps coming his direction along the street his little meeting point branched off of.
“Took you long enough!” Tom spat, not quite yet over that little flurry of nerves as he took in sight of the other. “I got other things to do too, ya know! You walk the whole way here or something?”

Nick had walked the whole way there, despite not having transportation. “My apologies, sir and I did, yeah.” He answered the other’s question, pocketing his hands into his pants. “What do you know about the herbivore businessman’s missing heir?” He cut straight to the point, seeming rather serious and a bit uneasy in a situation like this.
Tom stopped himself from rolling his eyes, but only just barely--this was supposed to be the city’s finest? Their boys in blue serving and protecting them from those that sought to undermine the laws that governed their society?
“I *saw* Louis with my own eyes,” Tom replied, cutting right to the chase. “I saw Oguma Redhorn’s boy here just the other day and he had a couple of those-those lions with him! Y’know, the-the...” The wolf waved a hand about as he tried to remember the gang’s name. “Whatever they’re called. The Leo Group! I dunno how or why, but Louis Redhorn is involved with the Leo Group.”

The wolf's face lights up a little and his tail wags at the mention of that name.

"Bellum's a great guy and I'm- I'm happy to know him. He helped me find out who killed one of my friends and helped me rescue another one, and he's also helping me to stop hating and accept what I am. And he's... well. He's..."

"I hope he doesn't ever hear this 'cuz I'm not ready to-to say it to his face yet, but he's hot and I -- and I wanna be with him pretty bad..."

"Ibuki... the first person I've ever met that cared about me for me. I mean - yes, it was his idea to install me as the Shishigumi's new chief after I killed their previous one solely because I was Cherryton's presumptive Beastar but..."

"He worried and fretted over me and my well-being like an old Mother Hen. Ibuki treated me like I was an actual person instead of a cut of meat on a plate or a... god on a pedestal. But as much as I grew to care about him and as strongly as I miss him even today, I'm not sure I could ever forgive him for forcing me back into the world I rightfully belong to so harshly as he did."
