hey so i've noticed a lot of pro shippers interacting w/ this post so i've updated my bio 2 make it clear that i don't want pro shippers interacting w/ my blog, y'all couldn't just let me rant abt abelism in peace huh? :/

as a trans person living in the uk i always cringe a little whenever i c some1 in america call the uk "terf island" and act like it's all 1 entity and every country in the uk agrees and act like it's so much worse than the usa when some states in america still hav the trans panic clause, don't get me wrong the uk is full of terfs but it's got less open transphobia than the usa and it's not like the uk is more transphobic, it's just transphobic in a different way and that's w/out talking abt the americans on the dirtbag left who use it as an excuse 2 straight up dehumanize every1 living in the uk and make "jokes" abt nuking the whole place, not 2 mention i feel like a lot of ppl in the usa 4get that not everywhere in the uk agrees and scotland is still currently [unfortunately] part of the uk, i live in scotland and in terms of legal stuff im a lot less scared living here than i would b in the usa, im honestly so sick of hearing americans say that transphobia is more prevalent here than it is where they live, it honestly just feels like they r using it as an excuse 2 point fingers instead of dealing w/ their own country's problems

i was 2day years old when i found out that the term "femme" is not just specifically 4 lesbians but 4 any queer person of any gender who connects w/ the term [link here] and so now it's time once again 2 figure out if a term the straights said wasn't 4 me applies 2 me or not
