I Do Not Care For A Lot Of More Popular Creepypasta Characters, Jeff, Laughing Jack, Etc. I Dont Like

I do not care for a lot of more popular creepypasta characters, Jeff, Laughing Jack, etc. I dont like what a lot of people do with them, and I generally think they're uninteresting. BUT. I do like Smile Dog. Hes a dog, you can't go wrong with him. So, i would be deeply appreciative if I could get some headcanons for him acting like a regular dog with some hellish attributes, just having a normal time entertaining himself and being a Dog in between killing or cursing or whatever popular consensus says he does. Thank you!

Smile Dog Headcanons

It's no secret to everyone that Smile looks like he belongs in one of the Insidious movies, what with his hellish features and eerie, human-like grin that could give even the bravest person nightmares.

It's also no surprise that he does this very thing with his victims, in quite a simple way.

Much like Ben and Slenderman, he works on the human mind, twisting and manipulating it until all it can think about is the fear of death, the never-ending hallucinations, and the sadistic dreams. This in turn makes the person a wreck until they either forward his daunting picture onto someone else or just die some brutal death.

However, despite his terrifying hobby and freaky appearance, he really is just your typical pooch that craves attention.

He wouldn't normally choose to answer to some inferior human being and be their pet, but Jeff is an exception. Not only does he get his blood lust, but the two have similar energy levels and they just understand each other.

Sure, Smile can't speak, at least not verbally, but somehow Jeff still knows exactly what he wants when he wants it. Besides, with someone giving him all the free affection and food that he could ever ask for, why would he want to go anywhere else?

He's a highly intelligent animal - if he could even be called that - and he's very picky over who he does and does not like. Meaning that the only favorable people living within the walls of Slender Manor just happen to be Jeff, Sally, and Liu, though the latter mainly due to the fact that he tends to give him a doggy treat each time that they see each other, and Smile has never been one to pass that up.

When Jeff isn't around, Smile enjoys spending time with Sally, and they've grown such a bond that he can get very protective over her if someone ever tries to lash out in any way, be it vocally or physically. Just because she's a ghost doesn't mean she can't be guarded. And what better guard than the overgrown Husky himself?

His favorite activity would have to be going on missions with Jeff, especially those that involve chasing sessions. Something about running a person down, catching them by the leg, and hearing their cries of pain and fear just puts a sense of fulfillment into him.

He doesn't like Grinny Cat, but he finds it fun running him around the house until someone more caring and in tune with the situation interferes. This is almost always either Liu, Jane, or Hoody, believe it or not.

Smile has perfected the art of fetching and has even learned how to catch the stick\frisbee in mid-air. He's also fully trained, knowing the simple tricks like "roll over", "sit", and "shake", and the more impressive ones such as "flip", "open the door", and Jeff's personal favorite; "bring me (insert whatever random thing he wants at the moment)". Smile obeys without hesitation.

Is it strange that a homicidal maniac and a hellhound that curses people on the internet has such a strong bond with each other? Perhaps. But having that ensures that neither is lonely, no matter what may be happening in the world. Smile would like to keep it that way.

Sully is a very hardened individual, so it took a while for him to even realize that he had feelings for you.

Not to even mention how long it was before he accepted it and confessed to you. This happened because you were doing something a bit reckless (climbing a rotten-looking tree to get the frisbee that you had accidentally thrown into it), then proceeded to fall from a broken limb and landed on your butt rather painfully.

Sully was nearby and saw the whole ordeal, and rushed to your side, wanting to make sure you were okay, and when he got that confirmation, he shook your shoulders and frantically spoke.

"You idiot! You absolute fucking idiot! Do you wanna die, huh? Do you wanna fucking die?? Are you seriously gonna make me fall in love with you and then kill yourself?! Don't you fucking dare do that again! I cannot lose you, do you hear me??"

You blinked, dumbfounded, and opened your mouth to respond, only to be cut off.

"No, shut up! You don't get to talk. Just shut the hell up." He pulled you into him and buried his face in the crook of your neck, squeezing you so hard you could barely breathe. "You're such a dumbass."

In case it wasn't obvious already, he is terrified of losing you. The thought sends him into a panic and he tends to overreact if he thinks you're in any danger.

Don't take his mean words to heart; he just doesn't know how else to express himself.

Your sweet and soft-spoken nature is part of what lured him in and makes him feel protective over you. Especially considering how much of a daredevil you are - you are most definitely one for taking risks, which is something that greatly contrasts with Sully's cautious nature.

Sully is bipolar, so there are many different ways he could react to a situation. More often than not, however, he responds with anger and fear.

If he's in one of his worse moods, he can be talked down eventually with caring, reassuring words, and once he stops throwing things and yelling, he will collapse into your arms and silently cry.

Sully is a tender-hearted guy if you can just get him to be vulnerable around you. That was no easy feat, but once you did, he mentally vowed to protect you no matter what.

As much as he himself is afraid to die, it's nothing compared to the fear he feels if he thinks you're unsafe. He's a big worrywart when it comes to things like that.

He holds onto your relationship like life support and sees you as an angel; you brought light into his dull, pathetic existence, and he couldn't be more grateful to you for that. He knows that he can't provide the amount of emotional support that you provide for him, but he really does try.

You're the only one that he'll be soft around, and if he ever realized you were upset or scared or anything, he'd do his best to make you feel better. Whether that involved listening to you vent, being there with you while you cried, or cheering you up, rest assured he'd at least try.

Despite his harsh exterior, he wants you to know what you mean to him. He does this with simple gestures; he'll rest his hand on the top of your head for a moment while passing you by, he'll send little winks your way from across a room, or he'll sneak candy bars beneath your door when you're asleep so you'll wake up and have a snack (if you don't like candy bars then insert something else edible, small and flat lol).

His nicknames for you are pretty short yet creative, and it's like he comes up with a new one almost every time you see each other. "Chipmunk", "Venus", and "Sapphire" are among your personal favorites, though ones like "Rapunzel", "Marshmallow", and "Destiny" sure do stick with you.

One of Sully's favorite activities to do with you is watching nature documentaries and expressing his fascination with various animals and locations. He'll happily binge your favorite show together and even make popcorn and hot chocolate.

He hates it when you guys fight, but sometimes he just gets so steamed about things and what you both need is to spend some time apart, let yourselves cool down, then tackle the problem maturely without any screaming, blaming, and breaking things. When you guys resolve whatever issue it was and make up, you'll fall asleep tangled in his arms, and he'll mutter, "I missed you" as he strokes your hair, knowing you can't hear him.

Definitely a bit aggressive with how he holds himself but he's just scared and insecure. He requires patience and unrelenting kindness, which is why you are a perfect match for him.

Synopsis: 

When sixteen-year-old Y\n L\n's parents leave the country to go on yet another work-related trip, she gets driven to and dropped off at her grandparents' house - the very same grandparents that she hasn't spoken with since she was a preteen. Mixed with feelings of resentment, disdain, and excitement, she spends valuable time catching up with them and exploring the surrounding forest, relishing in old memories and childhood nostalgia. That is until she begins to suffer sudden, daunting symptoms shortly before being taken to a small, cryptic settlement nestled deep in the woods, miles away from her grandparents' property. She's told that she's in danger and must stay with these strangers - most of which are very displeasing to look at - because something is targeting her. This "something" is what they call Slenderman, a supernatural entity with a lust for humankind and control.   Throughout this little unexpected adventure, she discovers life-altering secrets about her family, forms peculiar bonds with the ones she now lives with, all while trying to stay sane and make sure nobody she loves gets hurt.

This is shaping up to be quite an eventful summer, indeed.
