Tell Me Im Not Crazy
“Tell me I’m not crazy
and that you’re real
like the cologne that permeated
the shoulder of my shirt
as if you’re still waiting for a kiss.
Tell me I’m not crazy
and that we’re not rushing
like the active river water under the layer
of thick ice during the lifespan of winter.
(Does it truly matter though?)
Tell me I’m not crazy
and that it’s okay.
Tell me that you love me
because I’m crazy.”

“I want to claw open my own chest just to show you
how much of you is within me along with the telltale
signs of enough passion to scorch an entire meadow
of honeysuckle to the point of ruined soil
and toxic air so unbreathable that we suffer
together.”

Favorite poem?
For a second I thought "this is going to be impossible," but then I remembered. Lol

pleading the universe
to take care of you.”

Would you write a poem about your favorite childhood memory?
Is this a request, prompt, or actual question??
If you are still accepting prompts, how about this: loose shoelaces and tongue-tied? Loved the prompt piece I read and hope this can help in some way! :)
Yes! I’m always accepting prompts! Thank you so much for sending one, and I’m sorry it took so long to respond/answer!
“You’ve got me so kid-dumb
that I’m clumsily tripping
over loose shoelaces,
but too stubborn to stop
and look away from you.
And I’m so tongue-tied silly
that the babble out of my mouth
hangs in the air
between your eagerly knowing face
and my next word disaster.
I’ve been pulled back
to a time before knowing death
and pushed forward
into finally seeing life with love.”
