It was recently the 1 anniversary of the fanfic I've been writing and a lot of things came to mind.

1. WHAT?! Where did the time GO 🤯

2. I BARELY WROTE ANYTHING 😭

3. A lot of things have happened in that time frame and I am not the same person I once was 👁👁

4. I actually committed to a long-term creative project? 🤨

And in the words of my cognitive behavioral therapist.

We should unpack that.

Now I'm not going to psychoanalyze my nonexistent sense of time because every year I get a little older, and every year I lose the sense of time and the fabric of space and continuum, BUT I think those last 3 are pretty interesting, and I think they're common thoughts to have as any creator.

2. At first glance, maybe not, but WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME I WROTE 40K WORDS OVER ANYTHING- ZAMNNnnn

...3k per month. 833 words per week, and I was a full-time student.

Could it be seen as lazy? Sure, but let's choose to see that I am great at avoiding burn-out. (School burned me out first, but yk)

Could I have achieved more? Yes, and I have before, but I am not that mentally ill teenager I was in quarantine with nothing but time. 50k words in 1 month is RIDICULOUS! WHO LET ME DO THAT?! Bad comparison. Horrible comparison actually. Those were two different people. Write at your own pace, y'all. Be kind and considerate of you right now, not to who you were or think you should be.

3. Jesus christ I was busy this year, and a lot of things happened too. I lost a few people, I almost lost a few more, and yet I keep writing.

For escapism? Definitely, but what is creativity and stories if not to pass the time and escape your own life for a bit. Maybe I needed it. Escapism doesn't have to be a negative thing. I think I benefited from it.

4. I figured out that I actually can commit to long term projects. I can. I know I could, but there was always that doubt and self-hatred that I was too scatter-brained, too lazy, not good enough, etc.

Is 1 year really that long? In the grand scheme of things, no. It's a sliver of my life. But it's also 365 days I kept coming back to something. I pushed myself to keep doing something I loved and y'know what? I loved most of the days I spent writing. Not all, but most.

Could I have had a better schedule? Absolutely. In fact, I had no writing schedule, and the fact that I somehow wrote 20 chapters in a year baffles me. I find it a miracle I didn't quit in the early chapters, but maybe it's not. Maybe just this once I can blame myself for something good and not credit the universe. Let's choose to see I did well, and the person I become in the future will do the best they can as well.

This was a ramble and more of a self-reflection than anything else, but we are all about self-positivity over here because shit is too hard not to be. I think anniversaries of any kind should be celebrated, not a time to critique yourself because you do it all year long anyways. Take a break, pat yourself on the back, and be kind to you and others.

the problem is they havent raised enough money to register all of their family members to evacuate to egypt. fahed reached out to me asking me to help boost his campaign so they can get enough money in time because this could be the only chance for his family to escape this genocide. we dont know exactly when the rafah border will open or how long it will be open for. its really important that they complete their campaign– can you imagine being in situation where you might have to decide which of your own family members should have to stay behind to live in unbearable conditions- possibly to their deaths? no one should have to make that decision

The horrific story of the recent war in Gaza

Since the beginning of the last war in Gaza, my home has been partially destroyed, forcing us to move. We had to move more than ten times to find safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced extreme hunger and malnutrition that almost claimed the lives of me and my children. In addition, we have been exposed to many serious infectious diseases and epidemics.

Unbearable hardships

I have to travel long distances just to get water, and stand in line for hours to get food. My mental health and the health of my children deteriorated due to the war. My children’s education was interrupted and they suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.

After: This is our house, built with our sweat and effort, and it was partially destroyed.

The right to a peaceful life

My children deserve to live a peaceful life free of fear and anxiety.

My dream is for your help to support my family and escape this genocide. Your help means the world to me and my children.

The cost of arranging travel for an adult outside Gaza currently ranges between $5,000 and $7,000, and $2,500 per child.

My heart breaks whenever I think of the fact that evacuation funds are at the bottom of a very long list of things Palestinians have to deal with once they do actually escape. Then it’s finding somewhere to live, then it’s finding a way to sustain themselves, then it’s dealing with the impossible weight that comes in the wake of surviving a genocide… it’s literally all so beyond our comprehension. I truly, genuinely cannot compute how some people are going through such insurmountable amounts of grief and suffering. Helping Palestinians reach the fundraisers is—literally—the least we can do.

Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in Gaza Palestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to destruction, fear, and instability, starvation, thirst, and poverty.

For nine months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking. We lacked security and stability as we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. Then we had to move at least three times since every new area we seek refuge to gets bombed.

My Chaos of a Dynamic Web

The fanfiction + my need for organization and documentation were not mixing well so I made this dynamic/relations web between Terzo and the ghouls in it a few days ago. There's a lot to unpack here and it really only makes sense if you've read the fic, but I wanted to share because [1] Some of these are purely crack dynamics and I find them funny, and [2] I want to hear other people's HCs for how the ghouls interact with Terzo or each other. I love different, random, or crack ghost HCs so much, they make me giddyyy. If anybody wants elaboration on some of these I'm happy to give my rundown of it, but I will ramble and it might have spoilers to TOS Conract. Please ramble back, I am all eyes, ears, and anything but a wall. (This will make no sense if you're not a ghestie.)

I'm REALLY into making slideshow presentations on Google slides purely for my own entertainment and study, and I don't know if that's an astrology thing or a neurodivergent thing

Anyway, jokes aside, I've made 2 quick guides of Ghost surrounding canon characters and the ghouls. As of right now, they're really brief and by no means 100% accurate because I am not Mr. Forge, but I'd like to share it with y'all cause I think it's pretty cool.

If you're already really big on the lore, fandom, or history in general, it's not super helpful, but It's a great beginner or reference guide in my humble opinion.

I'll spruce it up in the meantime. Take it to salon for a haircut, get our nails done, go clothes shopping. I'll share it when the glow-up is complete. ✨️✨️✨️
