if i had a nickel for every time i became hyperfixated on a cringey, fanfictiony story about the "next generation" that comes after a classic and widely beloved piece of media SOLELY because they baited me in with a (somehow well written despite it all) gay ship, i would have two nickels!!!! which isn't a lot but HOW DID I FALL FOR IT TWICE!!!!!
