in the UK, if 100k sign a a government petition it will be brought to Parliament and debated. y'all know this country is suffering from some 80s-style bigotry right now, and this is one symptom: almost 200k fuckholes have come together to force the government to discuss whether it is 'appropriate' to tell children that queer people exist. this is a big symbolic victory for them. and i am burning with fury.

please, if you're from the UK, sign this counter-petition so they can at least see how much of a minority they are. simply put, the attempt to put these bastards in their place isn't gathering enough steam. there are barely 2000 more signatures now than there were this morning (27th January 2023), and that isn't enough. i refuse to let these people feel even a moment of victory or satisfaction. please help.

Great prompt :D but changing pov's without telling is kinda disturbing tho

You wake up in a chair in a padded cell. Someone else sits across from you. A voice from a speaker in the ceiling says, “One of you is a natural person. One of you is artificial. Determine which is which. The real person gets to go free.” You can’t remember anything before this room.

A woman has two admirers.

One of them is a doctor, and the other is a deaf guy. Every day, the doctor gives the woman a rose. And every day, the deaf guy gives her an apple. One day, the woman says to the the deaf guy: “Hey, that doctor gives me a rose every day, and I get the symbolism of that. But why do you give me an apple a day?”

To which the deaf guy responds: “WHAT?”

The world ended 20 years ago, you haven’t found a living soul since then. Through some ingenuity, you call voicemails for the last 20 years to keep you company. “Hi, this is Cindy…” “Hi you reached Bob” “You know what to do at the beep” until one day “Hello…hello? Oh my God hello!”

Hi defectivehero,

I thought about 2 friends/scientists or whatever, doing an illegal experiment in order to get superpowers. Experiment goes wrong for one of them (make it as dramatic as you want) and they end up being a hero/villain duo. What do you think ?

I adore this idea 🙏 🙏 hopefully I'll do it justice. I did take a few creative liberties, but then again, don't I always? haha.

Quinn is the hero and Jonah is the villain.

“Haven’t seen you in a while,” Quinn, the hero, remarks to the figure’s turned back. They don’t need to see the man’s face to know who it is: their best friend and laboratory partner from all those years ago. The villain turns around and his eyes widen for a moment.

“Since 2003,” the villain eventually responds, tapping his chin. Quinn bites their lip, memories flooding their vision. They see their underground, shoddy laboratory. They see the villain’s hands reaching out to the neon substance he’d created. They see themselves trying to stop him... Roaring flames and a ringing noise in their ears... The hero has to close their eyes and take a deep breath to ground themselves to the present.

"Yes,” Quinn eventually remembers to respond. Their hands are trembling at their sides as they drink in the sight of their enemy. The villain’s hair is long and unkempt. His eyes are a familiar dull grey. His form is significantly thinner and a scar stretches down the side of his face, marring the previously untouched skin. “Why, Jonah?” They don’t need to expand on that question, because their old friend knows what they’re asking. Why didn’t you come with me? Why aren’t you a hero, too?

“I think you know why,” the villain responds, leveling them with a heated stare. Quinn remembers being noticed by the hero agency a decade ago. They remember being taken in for questioning. They remember metal handcuffs, invasive questioning, and suspicious glares. At the end of the interrogation, they had been offered positions at the agency. Quinn agreed, but Jonah didn’t. That day broke them apart. Quinn hadn’t seen Jonah since. “Do you remember how they treated us?”

“Of course I do,” the hero responds immediately. It haunts them in their darkest nights and brightest days. That prejudice is a shadow that follows them everywhere. “Of course I do.” They can’t help but repeat themselves.

“How can you stand there, knowing you work with people that think us to be monsters?” Jonah snaps, clenching his fists at his sides. The scar on his face catches the sunlight and burns into the hero’s vision. Quinn takes a raggedy breath.

“They’re not like that,” they eventually justify. The excuse doesn’t sound viable, even to their own ears. Jonah shakes his head in evident disbelief. They sigh.“My teammates would’ve liked you.”

“Perhaps they would have,” the villain acquiesces, to Quinn’s complete surprise. Once the thought comes to mind, Jonah swiftly disproves it. “Perhaps they would’ve, if I weren’t a mutant freak.”

“Oh, come on, Jonah,” Quinn sighs heavily. They knew this conversation was coming. They think back to that fateful day in 2003- how the villain took the brunt of the blow from the chemical explosion. Quinn left the lab that day with superpowers. Jonah left the lab with much more.

“You think the agency wanted the both of us,” the villain says, a broken laugh falling from his lips. “No, they just wanted you. After all, I’m a nuisance, right? I’m an affront to nature. Those heroes did not want me. No one ever wants me.”

“What if I do?”

Jonah freezes. The expression on his face is cruel and sharp in ways the hero hadn't thought to be possible. They don’t like the defeated gleam in their enemy, rival, friend, partner’s eyes. “You know, years ago, I would’ve been elated to hear that,” Jonah says, an unreadable expression on his face. “Today, though... I don’t want your pity.”

“It’s not pity,” the hero shakes their head, their heart racing. How does Jonah not understand? Quinn takes a few steps closer and meets the villain’s eyes. “I’ve never pitied you.”

“Haven’t you?” Jonah asserts. The hero takes in the villain’s defensive stance, crossed arms and tight shoulders. Dread churns in their stomach. “I’m on the losing side of the battle. What’s not to pity?”

“You’re not something to be pitied,” Quinn argues. The hero doesn't realize the error in their words until it’s too late. The villain’s posture turns even more tense.

“Even now, you only see me as an object,” the villain accuses. He shakes his head and turns his back. Quinn can’t see their old friend’s face, but they can only assume there’s a mix of anger and regret in his expression. “Just leave me alone.”

“No, I’m not leaving,” Quinn maintains. They think this to be the right answer, but somehow, their enemy only seems amused at the statement. The villain’s arms are outstretched and foreboding dominates the hero’s headspace.  “Really?” The villain laughs sardonically. His hands stretch out and familiar, reddish-orange flames dance up his skin. His previously faded eyes are now alight with emotion. The sky above turns a dark crimson, mixed with shadowed clouds. Quinn takes in the person before them- the man that they used to know better than anyone. Grief settles uncomfortably in their throat. “Are you still going to stay?”

The villain’s voice is mocking and teasing, complete with an undercurrent of knowledge and expectations. Quinn desperately wants to prove him wrong, but the gleam in his eyes is so far away from their lab partner’s intelligent, smoky grey eyes. They feel themselves stepping backwards, their heel digging into the gravel on the ground. Quinn takes one final look at the man they used to know, love, and runs away.

analysis/endnotes below!

this was fun to write. sorry if it’s a lil confusing. I tried my best to mix both memories and the current situation between hero/villain, but it could’ve gotten a lil messy... ah well.

a lil detail that i rly like: the hero (Quinn) stops thinking of the villain as “Jonah” towards the end of this snippet. as the villain starts to show signs of disagreement and malicious intent [at least, in Quinn’s eyes], then the perception of him dramatically changes. suddenly, Jonah is now “the villain.” Quinn doesn’t see any of their old friend left in the man. Of course, this can be interpreted in a wide variety of ways. there’s the likelihood that the man is truly evil and cruel. however, another possibility is that Quinn’s memories of their time together are veiled in nostalgia and naïveté. thus, when they see the villain in a more realistic light, they detach Jonah- their old friend- from the man standing before them. [I like this possibility better, but it’s up to the reader ultimately!]

anyway! thanks for reading! love u <3

Can you give me a wattpad recommendation to read.

Here are a few of my favorites that I've read and finished:

Inclination

♡ The year is 1994 and Harry is having a reawakening and discovery. ♡ By popular demand, the much-loved story from Harry Tales gets its very own book! Most Impressive Rankings //#1 in Discovery, #2 in Wattpride, #2 in Queer, #3 in Pride, #4 in Pansexual. Please read with discretion.

Kiwi // H.S. // A.U.

18+ / Very Mature

"Please, this is like cliche-central. With a kinky twist." †††

I step under the hot stream of water, soaking my hair, and take a deep breathe. I try and clear my mind, focusing on the way the water feels hitting my body. I turn around, opening my eyes, only to shout out a curse and stumble back.

Emma is directly in front of me, taking off her tank top, eyes glued to my body. I hadn't shut the curtains, thinking no one would be in here, and I didn't know if I was happy or mad I did that. I stood there speechless as her small hands grasped the bottom of her sports bra. I inhaled sharply when she pulled it up and over her head, exposing her breasts. They jiggled slightly as she tossed her clothes to the side, and I found my heart rate quickening at an alarming rate.

"W-what are you doing?" I breathe out as she pulls her leggings down her body, leaving her in just a thong. "Showering." Emma tells me as if it's obvious.

Twice as Nice

Having one boyfriend is great. But having two bisexual boyfriends is better. (Narry)

---------------------------

This is my current read and I'm absolutely hooked but haven't finished yet:

(its also a book not completed yet and that will be a first for me because i usually always read books that have been finished)

Forced Reconciliation

After a tragic accident that killed their best friends, two former lovers are forced to come together to raise the godchildren that they share. They can either find reconciliation and possibly rekindle what they once lost, or battle the next eighteen years only being known as the other parental figure to their godchildren. This story contains mature and explicit content // 18+

{i have started so many books on wattpad that i never finished. i have commitment issues so if a story isn't 100% good then i lose motivation to finish it.

i almost stopped reading Kiwi because it takes a few chapters to really get into it but it was defiantly worth the patients. probably my favorite on wattpad if i'm honest is Kiwi. and i've tried to read Stall and just couldn't get into it. i got to like chapter 4 and stopped.}
