You Know Who Did The Teen Hero Thing Right? Kim Possible, Thats Who. She Never Messed Around With That
You know who did the teen hero thing right? Kim Possible, that’s who. She never messed around with that secret identity thing or with not letting her parents or friends know what she was doing so she never had to deal with, “Oh, I’m gonna miss this important family event to save the world” or, “What’ll happen in my friends find out my secret identity?” bullcrap. It was like, “Mom, Dad. I gotta go deal with this Drakken sitch,” and they’d just be like, “Have fun. Tell Ron we said hi.” She had that hero/personal life balance thing on lock. I aspire to have my life as in balance as Kim Possible.

Ruby: hello
Michael: hey!
Karen: hi

Alan: I gave you a key to my home for emergencies only!
Michael: we ran out of Chocos!

Like, fatherhood means SO much to this Arthur. I’d like to see him with as many aqua kids as possible, but Koryak? That writes itself.
Some odd 16-20 years after Arthur’s “wandering lonesome fish guy nigh worshipped in villages” phase, a newly orphaned, aimless hybrid prince torpedos himself into the Atlantean throne room to demand his birthright from his little brother.
Arthur has it slightly easier than Atalanta did, because Junior is still a child heir who can’t be challenged and no one is attempting genocide, and he’s physically present, atleast. Arthur has it slightly harder than Atalanta did, because his mother did not have a shithead semi- reformed brother laughing at her.
And like, right now Arthur doesn’t care about who gets the throne when he eventually kicks the bucket. He has no bucket kicking plans; THAT is a tomorrow problem. His guilt and inability to handle a spite- fueled surprise child who’s too damn much like him is a TODAY problem, as is Koryak going out of his way to cause as much chaos as possible.
Orm only stops laughing around the time his nephew starts trying to stab people.
I realize it’s unlikely but a Koryak storyline would slap SO hard with Jason Mamoa’s Aquaman.
