Who knows how many sunsets have graced my walks across this marsh over the years. I love this time of year when the marsh marigolds (I think thatās what they are) are in bloom.

At some point before we got to the site someone left this log. Propped it up on a stump with some rocks and it seemed like a good enough makeshift target to me. š¹
This is incredibly painful. If yall see a girl sobbing while walking around downtown just leave me alone lol.
I learned the hard way what life is like without the salt marsh. I wonāt make that mistake again.
Life Lately: Lowcountry and Appalachia in the summer.
I put some of my video clips together with Beach Baby playing in the background. Seeing this reminds me of how lucky I am and how beautiful this life is. When you live this on the day-to-day itās easy to rope some incredible moments into what seems āmundaneā. While I was in Greenville, I wrote often about how much I missed this version of the āmundaneā.
If youāve read my ramblings here, some of you know Iāve been struggling lately. Thereās been a lot of emotions to unpack over a period time in the wake of all these life changes. Two things happened that finally lead me to a breakthrough moment.
Going back to Greenville for the first time was incredibly hard. I was extremely emotional the entire trip, but Iāve been needing that release for a long time. I really should have gone back sooner. I feel more grounded after facing some of those memories I try hard to forget. I had to forgive myself and others for a lot of anger Iāve been holding onto.
The second moment is taking a step towards a big goal Iāve had for years, which is starting a business. I filed for an LLC about a week ago, and now I work daily on the ins and outs of making this thing official. Itās really set a larger purpose in my path that Iāve been desperately needing. Now I have something in the next few years to work towards: turning this into a full time job for myself.
I am a spontaneous person, but I have never been able to float. Iāve always needed something better to work towards, and I finally had to tell myself it was time to take the plunge towards a dream I buried deep. I keep reminding myself about the fact that we all have to at least try to create the life we want. Thatās all we owe ourselves- taking a step to try.
