Nothing like the coast back home.

Pawleys Island under the shade of the beautiful live oaks.

The marsh is constantly changing shape, but it always stays familiar.

I got a lot of bird pictures to share. Starring my favorite bird, the Egret. In the second photo is an Egret sharing a dock with a muster of storks.

It’s a day in the life.

The other side of autumn here. I love the changing seasons, but the beach stays the same. In a good way of course.

The days do get shorter, but there’s something about the sunsets this time of year.
To know a place like this like the back of my hand… Home💕

A foggy day along the Waccamaw Neck. The first picture was an incredible view. Driving above a thick cloud hovering over the Winyah Bay in Georgetown. Pictures can’t really describe how vast and strange this phenomenon felt.
Then a beautiful view of that fog over the marsh lands spanning from the Waccamaw. Crazy that I can casually grab lunch somewhere so beautiful.

The GIF maker in tumblr sucks so bad. But it did make this video I took look kinda cool in a cartoon way.
Btw. I literally was out there on the beach videoing this sunset for work.

I’m glad it stays somewhat green here.

Do you love the color of the sky?

A very South Carolinian Day. Got a call after lunch to hop in the truck with my dad cause we were going on a little ride along the Intracoastal Waterway. Next thing you know we rode from the South Strand up to Holden Beach, NC where some family friends are. They were home, so we docked the boat and visited them for a while. Of course within 2 minutes of sitting down in the rocking chair I had a glass of sweet ice tea handed to me. A custom of southern hospitality of course. We sat on the back porch, drinking tea. Now we’re riding back down the waterway snacking on some boiled peanuts. Of course a rainbow graced us for our ride back down. I love the Carolinas.
If you know the coast of SC, then you know Georgetown. There’s a lot of people who have never heard of or been to Georgetown. It’s the midpoint between Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC. So many people drive right past it and never see this super super old town. Growing up, I was always in Georgetown. We drove and put the boat in here to ride down to the Carolina Bays and barrier islands. It’s got that Charleston, SC charm, but it’s still a small town.

Got out yesterday with my camera. Sanderlings kill me. I love these birds so much. They are the birds that move their little legs so fast when they run around the waves.

Home is where the salt marsh is.

Who knows how many sunsets have graced my walks across this marsh over the years. I love this time of year when the marsh marigolds (I think that’s what they are) are in bloom.

I learned the hard way what life is like without the salt marsh. I won’t make that mistake again.

Seagulls and tropical winds.

There’s an ocean behind all that fog.
