You certainly can. Please find, by popular request and in no particular order, a list of all LGBT+ historical romances I have read of late. This is by no means a complete list, as (bar one) it’s just stuff I’ve actually read. It’s also only books which are strictly romances (so no Sarah Waters, for example). I’ve bolded my favourites.

Actual reason for him to wear his hair up, specifically, in a bun

If he wore a black long-sleeved leotard and had a black prosthetic his lines would be amazing

What kind of stupendous ballet dancer do you even get when you combine full superserum + natural talent AND classical Russian training??

In rehearsal he’d be dancing like three/four solos in succession without pause or even breaking a sweat the other dancers would hate him

Assassin + Ballet = landing his jumps in silence, somehow, even despite weighing like 200lb

Superserum breaking pirouette records 

Query: does superserum also make you bendier/more flexible???

He’d be holding lifts for like 10 minutes with his right hand and indefinitely with his left hand ‘what like it’s hard’ 

seriously they would hate him so much 

Any move he didn’t already know he’d be like ‘show me’ the other dancers’d be like ‘like this [demonstration] so obviously you’d need to practise it a l-’ ‘no it’s ok I got it.’ [does it perfectly]

SERIOUSLY. SO. M UC H.

Any parts choreographed or created on him would be literally physically impossible for anyone but him to dance

Dancing in front of a crowd, (in clingy, non-weapon-hiding clothes), especially with the sense-memory of his training, would feel so vulnerable and exposed to him; while every other dancer would be dancing like it’s their only chance, Bucky would be dancing like it’s possibly his last chance, ever

Add to that the whole aspect of dance as escapism, and probably, for  a long time, the only source of joy in his life, there’d be so much passion and drive behind every dance

Classical Training + Escapism/Need + Last Chance + Superserum 

His lines would be perfect, his jumps would be higher, his landings softer, his stamina better, his spins faster, his lifts would be solid as a rock, he’d do it all without sweating or visibly tiring, he’d never get injured, he’d be more passionate…???? I just ????
