🎆Spotlight Saturday! 🎆

Here are we again, another Saturday, another Spotlight! This time, it’s @imjaneees !  Sorry I got to this so late on a Sunday. But moving in last week, first week of new job, and everything else just piled up to make Saturday another clean up/ parents are here to help me finish moving in day. So, I’m only just getting to this after they have left.

Before I begin with this week’s spotlight, some things to note:

These Spotlight Saturdays are my way of saying thank you and giving some love to my friends and other content creators in the fandoms I’m in. SO, as long as I am physically able to, I will spotlight someone. If I haven’t gotten to you yet, chances are, I will, at some point in the future.

If you want to nominate someone for it, or want to nominate yourself (hey, give yourself some credit too!) then please go ahead and add their name to the sheet I have up here. My only request is that if the artist or fic writer does do a lot of NSFW work/writing, you note it for me.

That all said, here we go with this week’s Spotlighted Author (and artist):

IMJANEEES!

So, I didn’t really encounter @imjaneees work until fairly recently; I think I encountered it only when I joined the SessKag Discord servers. (Which also, I didn’t know they were a think until fairly recently too). 

Let’s see. So, I think the first piece of art I saw of imjaneees was this “Bride Kagome” piece. I thought it was really neat, and I liked the way that the art was drawn: the colors, the eyes (I’m kind of low key obsessed with how artists draw eyes), and the way you could see Kagome’s happiness in the piece. Then, I noticed that this was only one part of the “Bride” series, and I thought: ooh, more art for me to look at. 

The rest, as they say, is history. 

By the way, if you’re wondering: for those of my followers who are also in the Naruto fandom: the “Bride” series I talked about also has a “Bride Sakura” fanart which is just as wonderful as the Kagome one. Imjaneees has a way of making the feelings of the character really come to life I think. You can’t help but smile seeing her “Bride series” because the Brides are so happy. 

So, I mainly know Imjaneees through her SessKag work, but she has done some art for Naruto, and oh, this Tomione piece based on a fic by @colubrina! 

Now, as always, here I am highlighting only some of imjaneees’ art. AND as always, I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to go check out this artist’s blog and patreon and pixiv because this spotlight post is definitely not enough of an overview! 

Here are some pieces of art that I’d like to highlight because I like them. But, as always, there is SO MUCH MORE where this artist is concerned!

Let’s start with the Naruto pieces. This piece made this year for Sakura’s birthday is so soft and pretty and makes me smile. And I love how fierce Sakura looks in this piece.  And how about this soft SasuSaku moment to feed me and my ever growing need for fluff? 

As for the SessKag pieces? It was so hard to choose!

But here’s a few that might be interesting to look at, or a good place to start if you’re interested in this artist’s work.

NOW, if anyone knows @imjaneees’s works, they’ll notice I haven’t linked to her amazing NSFW art. 

And I haven’t  partially to make sure this post doesn’t get flagged and because that art is only sneak-previewed here for the most part.  But, here’s a gorgeous NSFW SessKag piece that I adore which I really want to share with you all! 

BUT, that doesn’t mean it’s not there. In fact, you all should check out this author’s Pixiv and Patreon’s because the art there is AMAZING!!! 

OH, and you know how I’ve been saying I’m so lucky to have talented authors AND writers in my dash here on tumblr and in my fandoms.

Yeah, here’s another person who is BOTH an ARTIST and a WRITER! 

For example, this art, and the fic that goes along with it: DORMant Dynamics is one that I recommend because it’s so good and hilarious! 

Oh, and then, there’s this series of five artworks, which all are part of a WIP, but the art is so good, I know that whenever @imjaneees​ gets to the fic, it’s going to be amazing as well!!! 

Now, this is just a brief overview of this amazingly talented author’s works! I highly encourage everyone to go check this artist out! I can’t always spotlight everything about an author, nor am I really doing anybody any justice by just spotlighting them in one post. BUT, this artist is not only talented, she is part of two fandoms I’m in, and is so talented too! Thank you for sharing your art with us @imjaneees ​! 

And, to close things off, a gif as always, and one that really does sum up my feelings. What Simon says is true. I’ve found that I have so many talented artists and authors gracing my tumblr dash, that I just sit there some nights after reblogging thinking this very same thought and just being grateful that all these people, just like imjaneees have decided to share their art and writing with us!
