Me! I will

Who will remember Rukmani?

She didn't fall in love and yearn her entire life, lost in devotion like Radha.

She didn't demand presents and bring showers of gold and kill demons like Satyabhama.

She didn't wander the mortal realm singing praises of her god in the age of Kali, like Meera.

She didn't endure years imprisoned by her own brother, having her kids murdered by him, like Devaki.

She didn't raise someone like her own, indulging in his mischief and punishing him for it like Yashoda.

She wasn't the prettiest, or flashiest, or richest, or smartest.

All she did was love the only person she ever loved, defying society and family.

Who will remember her letter, in a sea of mothers and lovers?

the feminine urge to mourn lost cultures and empires. for your heart to ache every time you remember how many languages no longer have speakers, how many ruins are abandoned, how many people lived happy lives before you. to feel melancholy and longing every time you study history - of this world or another, even fictional. to want to play a role in history, but in the same time fear dying, passing, being forgotten like those thousands before you.

Say what you want about the Star Plus Mahabharata but the soundtrack and the background music slaps! I’m watching it rn (mostly for Krishna) and It really help emphasizes how great of a story Mahabharata is and how important it is to our religion

I’m tired of people saying that Foxface knew those berries were Nightlock or that she killed herself on purpose because she knew she didn’t stand a chance. Or that she knew what she was doing. We don’t know Foxface, but from what I’ve seen yeah she’s smart and even the smartest people can make a mistake and that’s exactly what she did. When I first watch the movie I saw Foxface taking things from the careers and just small portions so they wouldn’t notice and she was like if it works with them why not try it on Katniss and Peeta, completely Iogical. So she did, no why would she suspect the berries are poisonous when she “thinks” that Katniss and Peeta are living off them and they’re still alive. She assumed they were safe and ate them. Katniss was probably the only tribute who knew about them thanks to her dad. That’s all, and why would try she to kill her when she was so close to winning? the announcement said that if the last two winners are from the same district than they would win, not that they had to be from the same district. She has no reason to give up, like at all.
