It was a regular day, people doing their labour, bounty hunters running here and there to catch the victims. It was a usual sight for the people in Kashi. They say it was the first city in the world to appear, and was famous for its beautiful temples, now even if you try to even hear the name of god, you won't be able to.

The city was bustling with sellers shouting, some were selling things that were supplied from the complex, some were selling human slaves.

Between the crowd a girl was sneaking secretly, so nobody could detect her. She secretly went to one of the stalls and sneakily stole one banana, and a fresh bottle of water. When she tried to sneak away she heard “Hey the total is 5000 units, pay and then take it!” she immediately stopped and turned around to see a bulky man, with a long beard and a pot belly, he is scary. She gulped and started running for her life.

It was not her first time stealing, hell she even stole from the complex, but always had that nervous feeling while doing that, she didn't want to get caught, she knew what happened to those who were caught, she didn't want that fate.

While running she entered an alleyway, bumping into people didn't stop her, she still ran. What she didn't see was that a tall man, and bumped into his chest. She was waiting for fall but didn't feel the impact, but she felt an arm wrapping around her waist. She opened her eyes to see two beautiful brown orbs, the most beautiful browns to ever come in contact with.

Her trance broke when she heard a shout, that pot belly was still behind her. She was about to run, when that man stopped her still looking at her. “Leave me..!” she wishper shouted. That man put hand on his chest and said “Hayee..” and as if he was about to faint. She looked at him weirded out.

“HEY YOU THIEF!” she heard a loud shout only to see the man, he was looking dangerous, she again gulped, she hadn't even eaten the food she stole from the stall. She is not ready to die. She was trying to get the grip of the man she bumped into.

“you had the audacity to run away with things that are way more valuable than your life!" The stall owner shouted. “I...I..” she stuttered, “Cat got you tongue huh!” he started coming closer to her. But was stopped by the man she bumped into, “Leave her she is with me.,” “I don't care, she stole things that are valuable for me, if she doesn't have the money..” the man took a look at her. “She has a really pretty face, she can work as a slave to pay off to the debt.” he completed smirking disgustingly.

By the time he completed the sentence, he was punched in the face by the mysterious man, and was held by the collar, the man gulped and said “listen I will pay 5000 units for her, you take the units I take the girl?” he said nervously and smiled.

The man again looked at the girl, who..who enchanted his heart, Nope he is not letting her go. Without looking at the man he punched him in the head, only to make him unconscious.

The girl wide eyed was surprised, the mysterious man slowly walked towards her, smiling like an idiot. “I let go of 5000 units for you, remember you are going to pay me the double amount of that..” he said bending a little, because she was short according to him.

She was still weirded out by the stranger, leaned away, he put a strand of her hair behind her ear, that was disturbing him to take a look at her features, “I am Bhairava..” whispered his name,

“Priya... Supriya..” she answered back.

So umm this was the introduction, I really don't know if people are going to read it, if it doesn't reach the audience, it's ok, I will post it on Wattpad.

Bhim: Sahadev, it's barely the muhurtta to be up, what the fuck-

Sahadev: So you can't sleep, huh?

Sahadev: Is it because of the blanket?

Bhim: *gets caught trying to murder Sahadev by smothering him*

I wonder what kind of fucked up mindset does one need to justify what happened to her was okay, because nobody with even a shred of morality would say that. This Sigma trend is one of the stupidest thing to happen to this generation.

So it is a trend in shows to show how Draupadi rejects Karna, saying she won't marry the son of a suta, how she calls Duryodhan "andhe ka putra andha" and laughs at him. Every show does it.

BRC did it. SP MB did it. RK did it. SPK did it. Heck, even that weird ass animation that came out in 2013 showed this as well.

Funnily, this event has 0 mentions in texts.

Karna FAILS in the event. Draupadi does not reject him. You see, Canon Draupadi is a sweet and generous lady. She is not a jealous or egoistic or short-tempered individual, tbh.

Also, check out the ACK Mahabharata. All the characters look immensely pretty in it, plus it is very close to the BORI version of MB so it can be seen as a decent source.

Now, back to the topic.

So technically I was swiping through Insta, and I saw this reel, where they showed Draupadi laughing on Duryodhana,(they used clips from SPK), and the reel showed "Wake up to reality" and then proceeded to show Draupadi being disrobed.

God, I hate the new sigma/alpha trend. Is it really cool to be sexist these days???

Let's just keep aside every perspective of Draupadi's character aside. Whether you like her or not, it does not matter.

She is an INNOCENT woman. She has come in Hastinapur as a GUEST. She did nothing wrong. And even if she had rejected Karna or insulted Duryodhan, it does not give them the right to disrobe her in return.

I feel showrunners try to inculcate the incident of Draupadi insulting these two to justify their hatred towards her?

TBH She did nothing to warrant such atrocious behavior towards her. Now, some ppl also like to blame the Pandavas for this, and honestly I do agree. These five men, who are great warriors, cannot look past their stupid sense of morality to help their own wife. How will they help other women when they cannot stand up for their own wife?

BUT.

BUT.

It is crucial to know that even if the Pandavas did not do anything at the moment, they, and several others like Bhishma, Vidur and Drona, had the decency to acknowledge their wrongs. The Pandavas tried to make amends, and they did. The war may not have been to avenge Draupadi's insult entirely, but it was still a very big factor in the war.

The Kauravas never even acknowledged that their actions were wrong. They dragged a woman to court, a woman who was their sister-in-law, and was in her periods. (Fuck, that must have hurt as hell.)

This woman, she is brought into the hall, and then Dushasan drags her around, as she begs for help. She is called a harlot, for marrying 5 men, when she is not the first woman to do so. Plus everyone knows that it was bound to happen, because of the boon of her previous birth. Draupadi would have had 5 husbands, or none at all.

Now, Karna orders her to be disrobed, Duryodhan passes lewd comments on her, and Dushasan...well, let's not mention him.

As a female, I feel horrible for Draupadi. The amount of physical and mental pain this woman went through because of this incident is incomparable. She would have been stripped naked and potentially gang-raped if it had not been for Krishna #onemorereasontoloveKrishna

And people have the gall to say it is her fault and she got what she deserved. The fucking audacity.

It’s so crazy to me that even though Mahabharata is like the longest scripture in the world and so darn lengthy, I still feel like they left out a lot of details that I would cut off and sell my limbs to read…like imagine literally feeling like you are living through second by second details of what happened in the Mahabharata and how everyone reacted and all the nuances!

So yeah, I want Mahabharata to be even more lengthy.

Say what you want about the Star Plus Mahabharata but the soundtrack and the background music slaps! I’m watching it rn (mostly for Krishna) and It really help emphasizes how great of a story Mahabharata is and how important it is to our religion

Can I add Rukmini, I’ve watched her episodes too many times to count. Also her and Krishna’s chemistry is unparalleled (imo at least)

Why does The Sleeper want to wake him up? To destroy earth? That makes No sense

Apparently I haven’t being paying attention: the Sleeper wants to wake up Shiva so he can perform the dance of destruction?

My question is why would Shiva do that? Because the Sleeper asked him to??

If there is a shield around Shiva that can only be broken by the celestial weapons then how do the gods get to him when they need help from him?

I’d assume they use the weapons but wouldn’t they start the destruction? And it seems annoying to break the shield every time they need him and put it back up again

So you mean to tell me that they traveled all the way to the Kingdom or Death just to activate the weapons THEY ALREADY HAD?!

Okay it’s not a shocker because I had a spoilers but it’s still weird to think about how The Sleeper is Aru’s father

Well damn Aru’s grandfather is a bitch

I have to say, the Sleeper is kind of an idiot

And I hope he isn’t the main villain of the series. I want someone more terrifying

This books says the the future is fixed but if you read or watch the Mahabharata you’ll see that it’s not. Destiny just knew what choice people will make no matter what. Why else would god (Krishna aka Vishnu himself) would try to change the Kuruavas mind, many times? If the Kuruavas were the prisoners of their own destiny then they wouldn’t have been considered villains.

Everyone has a choice and gods can only guide you/tell what the right path is, in the end you have to make the choice to follow it. Vishnu only reincarnates when Earth and Dharma is in trouble, and humans can’t save it.

At least that’s what I believe

The fate of people like Rama and Krishna are fixed because they were put on earth for a specific reason but normal humans future are up to our choices. Gods can’t changed that, they can only hope to lead us in the right way.

The gods do know what happens in the future but they can’t do anything because those are our choices.
