 You whispered the words, afraid of the reaction to them. It wasn’t as though you didn’t want to, you just weren’t ready. The idea was too daunting.

 Just as quietly his hushed voice asked, “Why not?”

 “I’m not ready.”

 “So it’s not a no.” His soft eyes caught your gaze for a brief moment. Within that second you saw a glimmer of hope flash through his eyes.

 You glanced down, “It’s not a no.” You let the unsaid words hang in the air. The words that it could be a yes, in time. That you weren’t unwilling just not ready.

 “Then I’ll wait.” He stepped back.

 You looked up, expecting resolution. What you saw on his face was a patient acceptance. Your eyes misted at the implications. He was willing to wait for you to be ready. For you to realize what you wanted and what you needed.

 “Why?” He should be heartbroken, he should be disappointed, he should-

 “Because I care about you,” gentle hands rested on your shoulders, encouraging you to look him in the eye, “and that is enough reason for me to wait if all you need is a bit more time.” He smiled softly, “Besides, I can’t say I truly care if something so small were to destroy that. Don’t rush yourself,” he placed a feather light kiss on your brow and pulled back. “I’ll be here when you’re ready, whatever you decide.”

 “Thank you,” the words floated away on the wind, too quiet to hear but he knew. He knew and he would wait, because he cared.

李燦: he can't stop himself from tasting your lips over and over again after having your full attention.

you sat at your desk, paperwork in your hands and a laptop in front of you. you hadn't changed out of your work attire, and your partner seemed to be vying for your attention.

with a scowl on his lips, he's seated alongside you in his own swivel chair, tugging on your clothes. you simply took his hands in yours and mumbled a 'sorry'.

"i'll just finish this, love," you whispered as you kissed his hands. you didn't let go of his hand while working, and he waited beside you, watching you work.

he's been staring at your lips and the way you bite them while you're focused on your work. it's attractive, excessively attractive. "done!" you exclaimed, turning to face your boyfriend and squeezing his cheeks. he's now grinning broadly. "all right, I'll just take a bath," she says.

he pouted once more, his smile vanishing. you pinched his cheeks and murmured, "it'll be quick." he's adorable without even trying.

you return to the living room to find chan sitting on the couch in his black shirt, which although being a plain shirt, always looks stunning on him. he opened his arms for you as you approached him and hugged him.

he's under you, giggling, since you've thrown all your weight on him and both of you have flopped down on the couch. "am i heavy?" you asked, and he nods, causing you to smack his chest, while he simply chuckles.

when you both fell deeper in each other's eyes, the television that was playing in front of both of you went unnoticed. he clutches your waist, swallowing at how close your face is, how kissable your lips look, and how he was only an inch away from kissing you.

you pressed your lips against his, caressing his cheeks. It was quite cozy and warm. his lips have a sweet taste to it, and you can't help but become addicted to them. he sat down without breaking your kiss, you on his lap, his hands traveling down your back while the other grabs your chin, dominantly taking the lead.

he groans in pleasure as you open your mouth, fighting his tongue with yours, your hands grasping his hair and shirt. the kiss wasn't too hard or too soft, just the way you like it.

the sound of the doorbell interrupts you two, and you give him a quick peck on the lips, your lips departing his with an apologetic look. you get out of his lap, but he doesn't let go of your hands. he's pouting like a toddler who has lost his toy.

you laughed at him and replied, "it was my honey bread, love."

he tugged on the sleeve of your long-sleeved shirt. "you have other honey now?" he whispered.

"i can't believe you will leave me for a bread." he continued, his hands still clutching your sleeves. "go then," he said.

"you're still grabbing me," you said as you yanked his hands away and dashed off to get the honey bread you'd ordered. he discreetly grins at how quickly you rush to your order and how adorable you look.

"do you want some?" you asked as you ran back, opening the food and chewing into one. he merely nods and gets one as well.

he can't take his gaze away from your lips. your lips appear slightly swollen and redder as a result of the kiss. when he realizes what he's doing, he chokes on his food. what is he thinking?!

you looked worried. he finally calmed down and stated, "i'm okay!" his gaze has shifted to his bread, and he is no longer looking at you. "does it taste good? i suppose yes!"

"it does. you have a taste," he replied, chewing and glancing at the television. you keep talking to him, but he never looks at you, which makes you feel uneasy.

"lee chan," you grumbled, his body tensing at the mention of his full name. everything happened too quickly, his lips now on yours, and you were stunned and flustered.

"i've been waiting to initiate the kiss, but you always beat me to it," he whispered suddenly, the taste of the honey bread washed away by your lips. if he compares your lips with honey, your lips are sweeter, and he'll never grow tired of tasting them.
