The floor was cold. That's the first thing Tech noticed when he woke up. He sat up and looked around. The cell was completely empty other than him. The man's googles had been cracked on the right side, making it somewhat difficult to see.
Tech had simply been walking back to Cid's bar when he was captured. Omega had been having a bad day so he went to go get her some Mantell mix. Walking past a dark alley he heard what seemed to be a child crying. The clone's first mistake was not notifying someone he was into an alley. He was skeptical but walked down the alley anyway. Once deemed far enough in some soldiers cornered and stunned him.
It would be a while before anyone would pay Tech a visit. He walked around the cell attempting to find a way out. Nothing.
The room was deadly silent. 'There has to be something I can do' thought Tech. Something finally came to mind. Hide behind the door and wait for someone to enter. When someone enters sneek out. From there he needed to find his armor, find his weapons, and find his way out.
Plans however don't always work the way they are supposed to. Despite Tech's best effort he was not able to escape. As soon as the soldiers noticed the mercenary wasn't in the cell they turned around and ran after him. Other troops were not too far away and stopped him. He was dragged back to the cell to be interrogated.
Back in the cell he was chained to the wall. Fighting against the metal was practically useless. In the end it would just hurt him and make him tired. The torment was inevitable once he was chained so what was the point?
"Where are the rest of ya?" Asked the interrogator.
"I'll never tell." Tech stared at the other. The man appeared to be a clone.
"What were you doing on Ord Mantell? Working for the rebels?".
"I was on Ord Mantell for a mercenary mission." Technically he wasn't really wrong. He was a mercenary on a mission. That mission however was just to make his sister's day a bit better.
The interrogator didn't believe him. The torture would begin. The batch had been trained to hold up under torture. Though it wasn't pleasant training Tech was glad he had it right now.
Time passed and finally the interrogator let up. The man unchained Tech and he fell to the floor. His body ached and his breathing was labored. Speaks of color distorted his vision. They would go away soon now that he could breathe again. The doors shut and he was alone.
Tech pulled himself against the wall and assessed his injuries. Large deep cuts were scattered across his body. Bruises were beginning to form all across him; the largest being around his neck. Small electrical burns could be found but not many. The man worked to get his breathing back under his control.
Crosshair learned of what was done to his brother. He knew that they wouldn't be working with the rebels, they had a child to protect after all. For the first time he really seemed to question the empire. He roamed the dark halls deep in thought. The sniper didn't want Tech to die. Despite everything he still loved him. One thought led to another and now he found himself standing in front of Tech's cell.
Inside Tech had gotten his breathing back under control. He had torn the sleeves off his shirt and tied them around the injuries he could. When Crosshair entered Tech was trying to do the same to the ends of his pants.
Of all the people Tech would have thought to rescue him he never expected Crosshair to be the one too. When he saw his brother he thought the torture was about to continue. What Crosshair didn't expect was for Tech to draw into himself, arms slightly out in defiance.
Now Crosshair was mad. Mad at the empire and mad at himself for letting it go this far. "Hello. I'm not here to hurt you, relax." He stated as softly as he could.
Tech raised his head and looked at his brother. If he wasn't there to harm him, why was he there?
"Can you stand?"
The clone slowly stood. Walking proved to be harder. "Why are you here?" Tech asked.
"I'm rescuing you."
"But I'm a traitor. You work for the empire don't you?"
"You're my brother and not anymore." Crosshair admitted.
"Ah okay. Why the change?" Tech was curious. Crosshair had been loyal to a fault.
"A moment of realization. Now stop asking questions. We need to leave." With that the two would leave the cell block. When Tech could no longer walk Crosshair would carry him the rest of the way. He stole a small imperial shuttle and left for Ord Mantell. On the ship the deserter would take care of his brother's injuries the best he could.
Back on Ord Mantell the family was gathered at the bar thinking of a plan to find Tech. They weren't sure where he had gone or who had taken him. What they didn't expect was for Tech to walk in, being assisted by Crosshair.
Everyone was happy to see both of them. After talking Crosshair was allowed to stay. They were back together again. Now the six would create new stories together as a family and not as enemies.

Febuwhump Day 10: Difficulty Breathing
Fandom: Star Wars
Timeline: The Bad Batch
Warnings: Attempted murder and drowning
The sea of Kamino could be beautiful. When it wasn't storming the sky's blue could compliment the sea very well. The storms however were common, making seeing the wonder of Kamino rare.
It was a rather windy day. The sky was mostly clear with a possibility of rain in the later part of the day. Currently it was late morning; around 9:00. Tech liked watching the water. Today the waters were rough and choppy.
Tech paid no attention to the regs that whispered behind him; he had no reason to. He walked closer and closer to the edge of the platform. The regs followed.
Crosshair had a bad feeling. The rest of his brothers sat inside their barracks with him. Hunter was listening to the regs. He didn't think anything of it. The regs were mostly all talk. The man simply continued laying on the floor. Wrecker and Echo told each other stories and Crosshair cleaned his rifle.
The regs inched closer to Tech. "Do you need something?" Tech turned around to face them. The clone closest to Tech smirked. "Can I help you?" Tech asked again.
"Na I'm good." The clone answered. Tech recognized the trooper as Kitty.
"Then why are you here?"
"For this." With that Kitty pushed Tech over the edge. It didn't take long for him to hit the water. Had this been the normal platforms the soldier would have died on impact. This one was closer to the sea. He chose this platform because it made it easier to see the water.
Hunter heard his brother's scream and sat up. He had left the barracks not to long ago simply to take a walk. The clone broke out into a sprint, raising his arm to contact Crosshair. "Cross get your rifle and meet me outside, one of the regs pushed Tech into the sea."
"Understood." Crosshair answered immediately.
The water was cold. Really cold. Tech's mind was both full and empty as he struggled to fight against the waves. His body was submerged in the water. He'd pull his head above the liquid only for the it to grab him again.
Water entered his lungs making it difficult to breathe. Fighting in the fight of water vs man, water was winning and quickly.
He felt like his life was flashing before his eyes. Tech felt helpless. With the lack of oxygen and the physical properties of trying to survive, Tech started to feel tired. He had to survive this; for his family, for himself, for the knowledge he hadn't learned yet, and for the people he was yet to help.
Hunter ran out to the platform. He found the regs laughing, watching his younger brother drown. "Crosshair where are you?" Hunter's voice was laced with panic.
"I'm almost there." Not even 30 seconds later Crosshair ran to meet Hunter.
"Stay back" Hunter hissed at the regs. He'd watch them as Crosshair scanned the sea for Tech.
He couldn't fight much longer. His body was exhausted and his lungs overworked. He seemed to both accept the fate that he thought was laid in front of him and not. He was both angry and eerily calm.
Crosshair found Tech. He aimed and took his shot. The grappling hook grabbed him harshly and started to pull him up. Tech wasn't sure what was really going on until he saw Crosshair. Then he knew he was safe.
The struggle was not over yet as Tech fought to breathe. His lungs had been working as hard as they could. He coughed, water coming up and out of his mouth. Even when the water was gone Tech breathed heavily.
Air rapidly moved in and out of his lungs. The clone felt as if he couldn't breathe. It frustrated and scared him. Tech could barely hear Hunter calmly telling him to breathe.
Hunter looked over Tech. The regs had abandoned the platform quickly after Hunter and Crosshair had arrived.
Eventually Tech could breathe normally again. He hadn't moved from his place against the metal. Finally he noted how cold he felt. The wind only and this feeling worse. Standing Tech looked over to his brothers and thanked them.
"I love you two. I may not stay that often or do much to reinforce this statement but I do." Tech stumbled closer to them.
"I love you too Tech." Hunter put his arm under the others and helped him walk.
"Love you" Crosshair grumbled.
When the other members of the batch met up with the three Tech would repeat the same sentiment to them.
"Awww love you too buddy!" Wrecker yelled. He went in for a hug but decided it would wait until Tech felt better.
"Love you too Tech." Echo smiled and laid his hand on Tech's shoulder.
For the first time Tech really thought about how lucky he was to end up with the four of them. Though it was sometimes hard to remember he tried to keep the thought of how lucky he was to be living and breathing with him.
Febuwhump day 5: That's gonna scar
Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug
Time: Monarch times
Warning violence
"Akuma attack, akuma attack" Adrien's phone buzzed.
"I just got home" Adrien sighed. The boy transformed into his superhero persona and leaped through his window.
"Hello Ml'lady" the cat greeted.
"Hello Kitty Cat."
The akumatized victim had been turned into a colorful monster. They had long sharp claws, lizard-like eyes, and scales. The two heroes would begin their fight to free the civilian from Monarch's grasp.
The teens were quite quick to free the victim. The citizen thanked the two profusely and ran off.
"Hello heros" A menaceing voice spoke from behind them.
"Hello" Cat Noir turned around to meet the mans eyes "Monarch."
The villain spared no time for fancy speechs. He knew that neither had much time before they transformed back and planned to use this to his advantage.
Now the hero's understood their time limit and tried to come up with a plan. One of them would leave while the other feed their magic companion.
"Ml'lady you first. I'll hold him at bay."
"You sure kitty?"
"Yep."
With that Ladybug made her way to the nearby alley.
"Just you and me Monarch" Cat Noir hissed.
With no words the two began to fight. Of course the villain attempted to get past to Ladybug but as Cat Noir said he kept him at bay.
Monarch activated the dragon miraculous and reached for the sword. Yes he could get past him with wind dragon or he could have used voyage but decided he wanted to fight the boy instead.
Reacting to the sword being drawled, Cat Noir snatched his poll from his back. A short fight would insue. The poll slipped through his hands as the sword hit it harshly. Right after the sword sliced into the child's chest. Screaming he grabbed his chest and fell to the ground.
Ladybug who had only been gone for a minute rushed back to the scene. The guardian rushed to her friend, grabbing the poll on her way to deflect what would have been a killing blow to her partner.
Adrien assessed the injury. It went from his left shoulder to just above his elbow on his right side. He attempted to put pressure on the wound. He knew how to fix injuries like this and had before except this one was much worse. It would need stitches but how could he get the help he needed without reliving his identity?
Adrien's ring blinked, one minute remaining, possibly less. The girl grabbed her loved one as gently as she could at the time and took him to the alley she had been in. "You're gonna be okay" she tried to reassure him.
"Yeah. Take care of Monarch, I'll be here. I'm about to transfrom anyway." Cat Noir spoke softly. Ladybug nodded and left. Tears slid down his face as he tried to remain calm. He knew one thing, that was gonna scar.
Detransforming, Adrien pulled himself against the brick wall closest to him.
"Kid!" Plagg yelled.
"I'm alright" Adrien breathed. "Cloth.. find." The pain started to regenerate more as his adrenaline wore off.
"Yeah I'm working on it." With that the kwami left, leaveing the human alone. What was he supposed to do about the wound? He placed his hands on the gash, trying to keep his blood from spilling to much. The pain scared him. He had never felt such sharp pain before.
How did he explain to his father? The father who would never let him outside again. He would lock him up forever, never to feel like sunlight again.
Even if he could hide the wound the pain would give him away. He could bear all the other damage done to his body over the year he'd been a hero, all the scratches and bruises, even a broken finger he claimed to have been a dumb accident. He hid all of those practically perfectly but how could he hide this? Even then the scar would betray him eventually, telling everyone who he was.
He looked down at his hands covered in his blood. He supposed it was better than someone else's. Adrien's breathing had begun to quicken and his head was spinning. He hoped Plagg would be back soon.
Adrien heard Ladybug call upon her lucky charm. He worried about her more than he would like to admit.
Plagg had rushed into a nearby store, careful to avoid the fight taking place not too far away. Looking for the medical supplies he stumbled upon the cheese. Of course that would have to wait until his favorite holder was safe. Once he found the medical aisle he grabbed as much as his little self could.
Adrien could barely stay awake now. He prayed that Ladybug or Plagg would be quick. Time passes and Plagg would come back. He slowly unwrapped the gauges and bandages and pressed them to the bloody mess that was his chest.
Ladybug ran into the alleyway with her eyes to the ground. "Cat Noir" she stated "are you okay?" Her voice was laced with concern. The spotted hero kneeled down to her cat. She put her arms out for him to take to his wound. Shaking he pulled her hands to his chest. From there she proceeded to press her hands to the wound. Adrien winced. "Sorry." Ladybug quickly responded to him.
"Don't-" Adrien stuttered "apologies."
"You need help I can't give kitty."
"My identity. I can't"
"I have a mask you can wear."
"Medical history."
Ladybug sighed "you're right...."
There was no more time to wait. Ladybug grabbed her bug phone and called for help. She explained they can't learn of his identity and tried to figure out how to prevent them from knowing. The operator reassured her that the EMT's would do their best. After thanking the person on the phone she hung up.
"Plagg" he pulsed "claws out."
"What are you-"
He pulled his body down and into her lap. He was scared and needed the comfort, the reassurance everything would be alright. Ladybug played with his soft hair as the two waited.
Adrien knew whatever was next he would be okay. The slash would heal and one day be a scar he could be proud of. Of course it wouldn't stay that way as it would become a painful reminder of the monster who would kill a child, the monster who was his father.
Febuwhump Day 6: Secrets Revealed
Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug
Lila had her way of finding out everything she needed against her enemies. Today she was after Adrien Agrest. She had already infiltrated the family, becoming an ally of Gabriel Agrest. She had asked to meet the man so she could discuss an idea for a photoshoot. She was there for dirt she could dig up on the mans child.
Natalie walked up to where she sat on the stairs. "Have you seen Adrien?" She asked. Whatever she had to talk to him about, it was important.
"Oh, I think I saw him in the kitchen." She responded. This was perfect. All she had to do now was eastdrop.
Natalie thanked her and walked towards the kitchen. Lila followed with her phone ready to record any evidence she may need.
"Oh hi Natalie" Adrien greeted the women he saw as a mother figure in his life. After all she raised him more then his own father now.
"Hello Adrien." She looked worried as she sat down. "I'v been debating tell you something and I think you have the right to know. You can't tell your father I told you okay?"
"Of course. What's wrong?" Adrien's anxiety rose.
"You are a sentimoster."
"What?" His heart sank "but that can't be possible.
Lila smiled. Perfect.
Natalie dug around in her pocket and pulled out a silver ring. "Here." Adrien held out his hand and Natalie gently rested the ring in his palm.
Natalie began to explain that Gabriel and Emily had made a deal with the man known now as Monarch. He had been in costume so they had no idea who the villain was. Of course this was a lie but for all the hate she had for the boy's father she couldn't tell anyone who he was.
Adrien wanted to scream. Him, a sentimoster? That seemed impossible right. The more he thought about it the more sense it made. That's why he could never say no to his father. He was controlled by him.
Adrien looked at Natalie. Meeting her eyes as he spoke "okay. I understand." Adrien stood up and left the food he had grabbed untouched. Natalie called after him as he left but he just kept walking.
Lila moved from the door before quickly making her way to the stairs she had been sitting on previously. "Is something wrong Adrien?"
"Yeah." The blonde walked pasted Lila and up to his room.
The snake listined to the video she took. Afterwards she posted it and a brief description of how she got the video. The comments were filled with people calling him a monster.
Adrien told his magic companion. Plagg assured him he was still the same Adrien he always had been. Adrien smiled and explained how he could understand that and that he wasn't a monster despite the name of his... species?
"I think I'm gonna sleep off the shock. I'll be fine tomorrow. Get me up if you need anything."
"Gotta."
With that Adrien went to bed.
The next morning was the day his life changed from being loved by all to being feared and hated. He woke up to his alarm blaring as normal. He completed his morning routine and walked out the door before Gabriel or Natalie could talk to him. The bodyguard hadn't heard anything.
The child felt no need to check his phone. No one really texts him other than Nino who will show the memes he sent to Adrien at school anyway.
Walking into the school Adrien felt the air be sucked out of the room. As he walked he felt all eyes on him. The stars pierced his heart. He walked to greet Ivin and Maylin but as he got closer they ran off. Adrien began to worry.
No one dared to talk to him, no one dared to even be close to him. Adrien felt the hate in everyone's hearts. Had there been an akuma attack that had everyone acting like this?
He turned to walk into his homeroom class. All eyes went to him the moment he stepped foot in the room. Sharp glances of distrust made his heart sink. He quickly walked to his seat in which Nino shifted further away.
Kim walked down to Adrien's desk and slammed his hands on the wood. "Why are you here?" He snarled.
"What?" Adrien looked at Kim confused.
"Don't act dumb" Nino started "what does Monarch want with us?"
"Monarch? I don't understand." Adrien looked over to his best friend then back to Kim.
"We don't need a monster here!"
Kim's words hurt Adrien more than any injury he had ever received at the hands of an akuma victim.
"Where did you get that idea?" The hero wasn't sure how they had found out or even if that was what they were responding to.
Most of the class just watched as the two boys spoke to their classmate unsure of what they would tell him themselves.
"Guys i'v been trying to tell you he's not dangerous! Leave him alone!" Marinette tried to reason with her class.
"Dangerous? Why would I be dangerous?" Adrien started to get defensive. "I don't understand."
"Lila warned us about you being a sentimoster! I can't believe I grew up with a monster!" Chloe shrieked.
"I.." Adrien tried to explain. Of course he would never hurt them, he has protected them and worked along side of few of them. He could't explain that he actually fought against Monarch. "I would never hurt you!" The boy spit out franticly.
"Why should we believe you?" Max asked curiously. "Sentimosters have attacked Paris over and over again." Most of the class muttered in agreement.
"If he wanted to hurt you don't you think he would have done it already?" Marinette stood from her chair, "Adrien's the same Adrien he always has been. He's kind and gentle, always trying to help and protect us!"
Rose stood, "I think your right!" The girls voice brought the 'monster' comfort. He hoped the rest of the class would slowly come to the same conclusion and would eventually trust him again.
Adrien had rested him arm on his desk. He didn't think anything of it for he was not used to having his life on his hand. The ring rested on the opposite hand of his miraculous as not destroy it when activating Cataclysm. Chloe gestured to Kim to grab it and so he did.
Kim hastily grabbed Adrien's wrist and pulled the ring from his middle finger. He held it as if to threaten the other.
Adrien turned to Kim terrified. How could he forget? That ring was his life and now, just as it always had been, was in the hands of someone else. It seemed no matter what he did his life just couldn't be his own. Kim positioned the ring between his hands ready to break it.
"Please" Adrien said shaking. "I'm not going to hurt anyone. I've never even wanted to. I can't help that I'm a sentimoster, it's just how I was made. I beg of you please don't." Tears began to well in his green eyes. Kim hesitated. Adrien seemed genuinely scared and if he spoke the truth, he didn't deserve to die. The more the teen thought the more he understood Adrian wouldn't hurt them. He had always been there for him right? So why would that change just because his soul was in a ring?
Alya had been holding Marinette in her set. Though Alya wasn't sure how she felt on Adrien anymore she knew nothing would change how her best friend felt for the blonde. She thought she was protecting her when in reality she was hurting her.
Lila walked down the stairs to where Kim stood. "If you can't I will. It's for the best. He's been deceiving us. I know it hurts but we have to for our safety, for everyone's safety."
"Isn't that murder?" Asked Nathanl.
"He's a monster" Chloe began, "he deserves this."
Deserved this? The words broke Adrien. All he ever tried to do was help, to keep them safe. If the girl he grew up with, the people he spent most of his time with though he was a monster maybe he was. The tears fell from his eyes.
This shocked the class. "Maybe you're right" he sobbed "I can't help what I am, I don't want to be a monster." He inhaled sharpy trying to get air in and out of his lungs, "if you think it's for the best then"
Marinette interrupted him. "No!"
The show of emotion from Adrian woke the class up. Sure he was a sentimoster but he was also a living being who deserved better then what he had.
"Here." Kim took the ring into one hand and gently placed it in the owner's hand. Adrien snatched it, putting it on his left middle finger. "I think we owe you an apology."
"Yeah. I should know better than anyone that you aren't dangerous, you're my best friend. Well if you'll still let me be." Nino held out a hand. Adrien flinched then attempted to relax. Alya finally let go of Marinette.
Maylin had walked down to Adrien's seat to help calm him down. She talked him through breathing exercises and soon he stopped crying.
The class apologized and asked for his forgiveness. Adrien who was forgiving to a fault convinced them it was okay and that he understood.
After the class Adrien checked his phone. Thousands of private messages on social media flooded his phone. Most consisted of death threats or cursed him out. He knew one thing, his life would be very different from now on. At least he could escape as Cat Noir. Plus his friends stood behind him so he knew he'd be okay, eventually.
Can you stab Hunter in the heart?

I know at first it seems like a dumb question but look at the book. It says that the Galdorstone is the heart and power. So if you tried to stab any of the grimwalkers would it work.
Imagine you are fighting the golden guard and you go to finish him off my stabbing him in the heart and suddenly the knife just stops moving. He's just sits up and goes "Ha!" Or something like that.
Witterbro brainrot right now.
Sometimes I think about Caleb and just wonder what his final moments we're like. His brother staying to kill him as the area burns. The betrayal he must have been feeling. Also it would appear when the Witterbanes first got there they didn't like witches so it's interesting to think about the internal struggle that would have been.
