"Knowing Claude, I Know He's Probably Taking Responsibility For It. I'm Sure He's Not Pointing Fingers
"Knowing Claude, I know he's probably taking responsibility for it. I'm sure he's not pointing fingers at anybody else but himself. ... I know he takes it hard and takes it to heart," Briere told ESPN.com in a phone conversation on Monday. "I'm 100 percent sure he feels very responsible for it. At the same time, he's one of those guys that doesn't sit back and pout. He loves to take control of the situation and make it better."

In case there was any doubt: yes, Danny is still the president and founding member of the Claude Giroux Fan Club.
These assholes, I don't even know what to do with them. Also, I find it hilarious that ESPN called Danny, rather than asking someone who's, you know, PLAYING with Claude right now.

People who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest and trust worthy.

I’m an honest fuckin’ bitch for sure.

do you ever just get really emotional over your internet friends and you sit there by your computer and aggressively wish the absolute best for them in life
This idea grabbed me first thing this morning and will NOT. LET. GO.
What if the reason Sid was so talented so early on was because Troy sold Sid's soul to a crossroads demon? And the injuries of the last few years are because the deal is coming due. Of course, Sid doesn't know anything about a demon deal and his current level of talent is purely because he works so hard at it and has for so long. Starting with all the little injuries and damage he's suffering, people start making jokes about him having a deal coming due (this being a world where that is a thing). Sid brushes them off, of course, because he knows he's never made any deals with anyone. Geno starts taking a closer look at things, though, because he comes from a long line of cursebreakers although he's never done much of it himself. Then he has to explain to Sid that yes, there was a deal and if Sid doesn't find a way out of it, he's done. Geno calls on the expertise of the Russian collective and also someone unexpected, like maybe Craig or Tanner (maybe going to Ivy League schools makes them good at getting people out of deals and that's why it's made such a big deal of?) and of course, Sid is freaking out because oh my god, he thought demon deals were just a myth, he didn't think anyone actually DID that. And maybe Mario helps too—he had a deal, but got out of it by paying a price (cancer) and was able to go back to hockey. Of course there's angst with Sid's parents, because Troy is completely unrepentant: Sid's had the opportunity to play all this time AND he won a Cup and how does Sid not appreciate what Troy did for him? Where Sid is all, hey, I did this for MYSELF by working hard even if the original talent came from the deal. The deal is finally successfully broken and in the midst of all this, Sid and Geno have fallen for each other (or more accurately, realize their feelings are more than friendship).
Someone really, really needs to write this. Please?
*nod, nod* Yep. I don't want to date him, I want to take care of him. (although, you know, if dating were on the table, I wouldn't turn him down--I'm not insane)
tbh i really dont care that geno’s probably double my height and body size, to me he is a little baby who i want to wrap up in a fuzzy blanket and give him hot chocolate and kiss his head and protect him from the world
