I feel like Ms Terry's vibe is a mixture of Secrets in the Dark Riddler, Gotham and Rogues Podcast Riddler.

Like the flamboyant, flirtatiousness of Tr:sitd's Riddler, backstory stuff (used to be a forensic analyst, bullied etc) of Gotham's Riddler and the narcissism of Rogues Riddler.

I want to know everything about Edwards so called tantrums. Felixverse au. I hope it's okay you mostly receive hs requests? Or would you like to have requests for one shots and fics?

Hs, i meant i want hs about then. How are they? How he goes through that? How does it start, how agitated he can become? Does he do that in front or people or he might as well do it alone? Would he scream, would he crush something (which is unlikely because felixverse seem to work much about intellectual part of himself) or he'll just rant to his henches about the WORST DAY of his life! In fact, that least to other question - would be exaggerated while ranting? How LONG does those rantings take?

Does he pitch his voice while doing it? Or he's making it lower? Or perhaps he's mixing both to make accents of the story? Would he tell the whole story to people? Or he'll rather keep it to himself and only take rant to the point where he felt offended?

OH, AND ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT: HOW HE WOULD REACT AT PEOPLE

a) really listening and trying to provide the solution (as a way to express their worries)

b) dismiss the tantrum in cold way but still +- professional

c) downright say Edward being stupid (which he OBVIOUSLY ISN'T AND I WILL STAND ON THAT POINT SO LONG-)

d) just listen and say something like "that's sucks" kind of stuff. Overall, not really interested but still listening

e) actually getting emotional too and (maybe even without much information) start to rant about it. Both getting worked up. Maybe person could even give a really emotional decision like kill the annoying person, as a joke

f) same with e bit the killing wasn't a joke

g) you can add as much other responses. I would love if you do. I would be fine if you won't.

What also trigger my brain is how Edward would react at each reaction? Would he be more talkative in variation d? Would he now rant about how they're not trying to support him? What does he even want when he rant? Does he want an ear to express all his worries? I doubt you can call it worry, though. Just.. Emotion? Perhaps not. Idk I'm stupid and need information :"-(

Pls, you can talk about it as much as you want. You're rants are full of information WHICH MEAN they aren't rants, they're just a very, very good essay that make me feel the character such as Edward. Or Charlie. Or Jonathan. Pls continue felixverse, i like it so far as reading hs :3

I like to do headcanons and oneshots mostly, because my attention span is too short for fics, typically. It depends on my drive for them. Like, I managed to speed through Edward's origins, but I've had difficulty doing Charlie's due to a (past) lack of motivation. And I am an Ed simp through and through, my friend bought me the Zero Year! Riddler Funko Pop and my silly lil ass nearly cried </3 so honestly, keep the Ed (and Charlie and Jon) requests coming! I . OVERVIEW

Edward's tantrums, for a lack of a better word, are different from his meltdowns. His tantrums are still relatively intellectual to an extent. His thought process and logic are still clear. They're typically just more representative of all of sudden emotions when they became more than he's used to regulating. His meltdowns are typically out of bottled up or repressed emotions/being overwhelmed. His tantrums are a spare of the moment thing, whereas meltdowns can last a lot longer.

A meltdown will be seemingly “random” and unprovoked, but to Edward, it's a final trigger that's caused the floodgates. These are pretty ugly — he may act brashly and carelessly. Often, he'll present angrily — breaking things is a possibility (typically other people's things) — though in front of people he feels more comfortable around (in a workplace, a personal assistant, otherwise a lover or close friend) will most likely just break down into sobs and incoherent ramblings.

A tantrum will often involve yelling and ranting — complaining and stamping around. His demeanour completely changes. He's still animated, just in other ways. Edward will throw his arms around as he speaks, instead of his cane or hands; he'll lose all of the charm and softness to his voice — instead, he'll sound bitter; instead of wearing a smug grin, he'll be glaring and yelling. He doesn't often care who he yells at during a tantrum, because if he's including them, they've probably helped cause it. They're unfiltered thoughts spilling out.

But, if it's a plan he's already thought of, he'll dismiss it with a quiet comment in passing, about how he's “already tried that! Clearly, it hasn't worked.”

II . HELPFUL REACTIONS

If someone breaks Edward off mid-rant, especially with an idea that he hasn't considered before, he'll be livid. He'd pause, stop and think, before glaring at them and beginning to drive into them. Because, in that moment, he can't see them being helpful, he can only see them as being obnoxious or trying to be smarter than him. And, if they've proposed a plan that seems flawless, that means that in that moment, they are smarter than him. And, that doesn't sit well with him.

It'll get him to stop ranting as much as he has been — on the original topic, at least — but now he'll be ranting about how he feels insulted by their suggestion. How Edward feels as if they've overstepped, and how he feels as if they're trying to belittle him.

Though, once he's calmed down, he'll quietly approach them and let them know that their prespective was useful, and that he will consider asking them for more opinions in the future.

III . PROFESSIONAL REACTIONS

A professional reaction will merely encourage his ranting. If he's just started, especially. It's best to have the odd comment of acknowledgement and (mock) sympathy, whilst staying out of his way — Edward will burn himself out eventually. Quite quickly, in fact, if there's no one encouraging more anger or frustration.

IV . DISMISSIVE REACTIONS

A dismissive reaction towards Edward's ranting will either cause him to get worse — going into details as to why this is so important, and how they're stupid to not care. Why are they even there if they're not on the same page as him? Though, he'll still keep ranting until he burns himself out. He'll just be a bit pouty, dismissive and moody towards them afterwards. But, there isn't much damage done to the relationship, regardless of what kind.

V . RUDE REACTIONS

Depending on whom the rude reaction came from, will depend on how Edward reacts. A lowly worker that he cares nothing for? A police officer? He's angrier now, and will verbally retaliate. He will now be worse than what he was before, by a tenfold. Though, if it's someone that he thinks highly of, he'll brush it off as a poor attempt of banter. Unless it's Batman. He's the exception. On the off chance Batman says something rude, Edward will become more childish in his tantrum — becoming less coherent in his yells because of how overwhelmed he is.

However, it's important to keep in mind that it depends on how hurtful the comment is. If it's basic and casual, he'll happily shrug it off, though the more scathing that the comments get, the more of a reaction they'll get from him? It'll escalate from a glare all the way to firing someone/dumping them.

VI . VIOLENT REACTIONS

Edward would take amusement in the plot of taking revenge, and it'll distract him and cheer him up a little. He may not necessarily want to act upon it, so if the person he was speaking to does — especially without him — he'll be a little dumbfounded and frankly, a little annoyed (seeing as it would be his revenge to have).

He wouldn't necessarily process it as a form of protectiveness, unless it's directly communicated — and then in most cases he wouldn't be pleased with it. He'd understand if it was a romantic partner, but would otherwise find it amusing (albeit annoying). If he's in a good mood, he'll lightly scold them, saying something along the lines of, “Now now, I understand why you did it, Dear, but that doesn't quite fit, does it? Instead, next time, let me take care of it, hm?”, because he can understand why someone would be protective of him.

VII . THE IDEAL REACTION

Ideally, the best way to deal with Edward's tantrums is similar to his meltdowns. Comfort. Whereas it may not be suitable for every person he knows (ie low ranking or new workers), but a little bit of praise and reassurance goes a long way — actively agreeing with him and consoling him will get him to calm down a little, even if he does end up a little teary eyed. Normally, his anger goes come from stress or confusion, after all, so he just needs a space to vent and feel welcomed in.

And, if it's a romantic partner, a little bit of affection will also go a long way; running a hand through his hair and mumbling a few bits of reassurance will most likely do the trick, if not then holding him will help too. Just don't let anyone else see it. Otherwise, they might think he's “weak”.
