Bruce and Harley are friends. Bruce and Harvey are friends.
May I present: All three grew up together.
They met at a park one day, or even on the first day of first grade, and decided that they were gonna be friends forever.
They all probably kissed once just to see what it would be like. They also made a promise to marry each other/move in together if they weren't in a committed relationship by a certain age.
They definitely planned to work together in the future, all having to do something with the law. They were gonna be the good guys, kicking ass together because there's no way they'd ever stop being friends.
And then Bruce's parents were killed.
And then they couldn't all go to the same high school because Harley lived in Park Row and Harvey lived in Old Gotham and Bruce lived in Bristol.
And then Bruce disappeared.
And then Harley went insane.
And suddenly, Harvey was the only one left.
But Bruce came back! And Batman appeared. And Harvey was busting his ass trying to keep the city safe while also reconnecting with Bruce and telling him what happened to Harley. Harley joins The Joker, entering a relationship with him.
Batman has to keep locking Harley away in the very place she wanted to help people, and Bruce dies a bit every time because that's his friend he keeps putting there.
Harvey goes insane, calling himself Two-Face.
And suddenly, Bruce is the only one left.
None of them are doing what they set out to do.
Harley - in nice terms - is no longer with Joker. Harvey is still in and out of Arkham. Bruce now has three two kids.
Harley reforms, getting the help she needed, but she doesn't go back to what she'd grown up wanting to do. Harvey keeps going through the revolving door that is Arkham Asylum, but he knows Batman won't hurt him because Bruce would never hurt his friends on purpose. Bruce now has 7 kids, two of which he can't officially adopt because one still has living family and the other doesn't want that. Bruce and Harley reconnect.
if somehow i EVER get to be incharge of something Batman related i'll;
A. change stephenie brown to stephenie Nygma, B. make it not to too dark, C. not overuse the Joker, 4. the manbat who giggles will only be in a nightmare sequence caused be batman getting sick from a form of scarecrow fear toxin, 5. scarecrow's design will be based on his later design in Batman the animated series, 6. I'll pro'ly call this batman thing batman: the caped crusader, G. never give cassandra a VA because i don'want her to talk, H. polka-dot man will be used atleast 1 time, and 9. it'll be 3d, J. copperhead will be based on the arkham series's copperhead because she's cool, 12. Jason Todd will be used (bumping this bitch upto pro'ly an "adult" rating), XIII. make a joke about red robin involving Tim Drake, M. use calendar man at-least 2 times 1 for a halloween special and the other for Xmas, N. use the judge persona of 2-face because it's cool, O. condiment king 'nough said, P. faceless is an obscure villain in the batman gallery, and Q. killercroc is southern , R. have a recurring joke of Commissioner Gorden saying that he's "not payed enough for this", S. just translate the original Hush comic almost 1:1, T. Call green arrow the knock-off batman, 21. have green arrow save batman, V. have manbat look freaky because he's an amalgom of bat and man, W. Use bronze tiger because he's cool, and 24. use sports master as a joke villain, Y. have Joker BE FUNNY (like, unironically, be actually be funny), Z. Epilogue: Beyond
Batman: Caped Crusader might just have the most underwhelming Two-Face design in all of media. I mean, look at this:
Yeah, it looks messed up, but compare it to other Two-Faces in the past:
Not only do the colors help show the DIVIDE of the character's features, but they really went all out in showing how grotesque Two-Face can get. Even in the golden age, which the show bases most of its design influence on, looks better than Caped Crusader's design.
It's not grotesque, but there's still a sense that it's a man's features split in two. But in Caped Crusader, the features blend together too much you can't really see that divide. It's just so...disappointing.
This is my first ever post! I drew these two guys because for some reason they're a perfect duo in my brain!!!

May I offer a Harvey and Jason fluff/comfort comic thing where they have both worked together for a while and are on the brink of actually being a bit more open to each other?
Once again I must apologize for the quality because Tumblr requires me to compress things severely. The GIFs had little animations in them which you can kind of still see but grrrr, compression.
But anyway, yeah, I've been thinking of the idea of Harvey actually employing Jason shortly after his return to Gotham, helping him through the ranks with ease because, dare he admit, he sees a son in him and doesn't want him to be eaten alive by Gotham like it has done with so many others.
