Not everything in context of Billy has to be about, revolve around or relate to Max.

He's his own person. Neil Hargrove forcibly made Billy's life revolve around and to a degree be controlled by Max. I'm literally begging you to stop carrying that trend into fandom and how you interact with fandom content. There's nothing wrong with creating a better, healthier relationship between them but I'm dog-sick of seeing people acting like Billy's entire existence relies on Max. Like there's no feasible value in Billy surviving and thriving unless he's still shackled to Max and to the idea of being her responsible, doting brother.

He was an abused teen shoved into a replacement family that was weaponised against him. Whatever responsibilities you think Billy has to Max I can assure you don't exist.

This is not the helpful act you think it is, and a cute little 'don't harass them!' note does nothing. If you find a blog you, personally, are uncomfortable with, block them and move on. If they're not posting rampant violations of the TOS then they are of no consequence to you, or anyone who follows you. The people who follow you are perfectly capable of doing their own research and drawing their own conclusions of how to curate their online space.

OP did not mention, at all, anywhere in their post or posts prior that their actual reason for calling out the user was because they're a known, real-life pedophile and a current danger with an accessible, public platform. They only mentioned it after I told them callout posts based on the proship-vs-antiship argument result in an influx of harassment.

"Block this user because they're proship" =/= "block this user because they're a known, real-life pedophile and an active danger."

OP made a callout post based on one thing, then in response to me telling them its a well-intentioned but bad idea, changed their entire basis of the callout.

I have no issue with bringing active pedophiles to public attention. My sole issue and the current nature of the discussion is the fact that OP said one thing, got offended I opposed it, then said something completely, vastly different to defend their original action.

I pointed out callout posts like that were pointless, you came back with an 'actually, XYZ!' message that had information omitted from the original post and vastly different to what you (assumed as OP) were calling the user out for.

But that wasn't the point of the call-out post, nor the information given. The post wasn't calling the user out for being a known pedophile or causing harm to people. In fact, there was actually no mention of that in the post or the tags. It was just another "ew icky proship" callout post which have been proven, time and time again, to be subject to extreme bias and encourage harassment.
