If We Dont Start Caring About Our Planet And Caring About Each Other Then Perhaps It Wont Really Be So

If we don’t start caring about our planet and caring about each other then perhaps it won’t really be so bad if this is the end of times. We have to stop worshiping the all mighty dollar and start caring about each other. Ironically, humans are so incredibly inhumane. We can explore outer space but we can’t feed, clothe and shelter our fellow man. There is something terribly wrong that needs to be righted soon or we’ll create our own end of times! ~ Trabue Gentry

Red Is Gray And Yellow White, But We Decide Which Is Right And Which Is An Illusion

image

I read an interesting comment on someone’s blog yesterday. The reader was marveling at the beautiful colors in a photograph of the cosmos, apparently unaware that the colors they were adulating were not natural. You see, the colors in pictures taken of the cosmos are largely the result of optical filtration used to photograph molecular activity which results in gases. It is necessary to use filters to see certain gases that would otherwise be invisible to the imaging system used to photograph them. The resulting colorization is as true to the human eye as the effect of sunglasses or a black light are. Our eyes were designed to see within a certain spectrum of light, the light of the sun. However, the color of anything is relative to its light source, optical filtration, the way our eyes are made and how our brain interprets information it receives from the optic nerve. In the end, all the beautiful colors you and I experience are merely a subjective interpretation of energy.

"Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colours from our sight. Red is gray and yellow white, but we decide which is right and which is an illusion. Pinprick holes in a colourless sky let insipid figures of light pass by. The mighty light of ten thousand suns challenges infinity and is soon gone. Night time, to some, a brief interlude. To others the fear of solitude. Brave Helios wake up your steads. Bring the warmth the countryside needs." ~ The poem Morning Glory written by Graeme Edge of The Moody Blues and orated by Mike Pinder of The Moody Blues on the The Moody Blues album Days Of Future Passed.

Putting My Best Foot Forward

image

I had the exact same style of boots when I was nineteen. They were very expensive. I loved them. I always took very good care of them as I do everything I own. One weekend when I was out of town visiting a friend, two juveniles broke into my house, destroyed it and stole some of my belongings including my boots. I was heart broken. My boots went out of style before I had enough money to buy another pair. It’s great to see they’re coming back in style even though they may only be available for women. Actually, I do wear certain women’s shoes because of the shape and size of my feet. I have small, slender feet.

I used to wear Adidas Monicas exclusively for bicycle riding because they fit in the clip so well. They were extremely supple and very comfortable. I don’t like shoes and only wear them if I am going someplace that requires me to wear them. For the last ten years or so I have been wearing generic women’s deck shoes size eleven made in China. They are cheap and flimsy. They feel as close to being barefoot as possible. I would wear other tennis shoes if I could find something stylish that fit me properly and weren’t so expensive. There is little point in spending a lot of money when I don’t spend a lot of time in shoes. ~ Trabue Gentry
