Marilyn Manson sexual assault lawsuit tossed out by judge
Ashley Morgan Smithline's case against Marilyn Manson was dismissed on Tuesday by a federal judge in Los Angeles after she fired her lawyer and failed to obtain a new one.

A judge has tossed out a lawsuit against Marilyn Manson alleging that he sexually, psychologically and physically abused his ex-girlfriend.

Ashley Morgan Smithline claimed Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, committed the allege abuse against her during their two-year relationship that began in 2010.

Smithline’s case was dismissed without prejudice yesterday after the model fired her lawyer, and then failed to meet the deadline to obtain representation in court.

Smithline was one of 15 women - including actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco - who made allegations against Manson.

Rapper Tory Lanez Guilty in Shooting of Megan Thee Stallion
nytimes.com
Mr. Lanez, a Canadian rapper, was accused of firing at the Houston hip-hop star after an argument in 2020. The matter became the subject of

Mr. Lanez, 30, was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than 20 years in prison and could be deported.

The case, which played out as both a tawdry tabloid narrative and a weighty referendum on the treatment of Black women in hip-hop and beyond, was closely watched for both its famous characters and what it said about the recent adjudication of alleged abuse by notable men, such as Johnny Depp and Harvey Weinstein, in court and in public.

Mr. Lanez, though not a household name before the case, has seen his celebrity profile rise since the shooting, earning explicit and implied support from various corners of the hip-hop universe, including influential blogs, social media accounts and the rappers-turned-talking heads 50 Cent and Joe Budden.

There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.

Im Fucking Fuming Over This I Cant Even Lie Like What The Actual Fuck Is This. Straight Up Evil Behavior.

im fucking fuming over this i cant even lie like what the actual fuck is this. straight up evil behavior. also good job literally flat out admitting amber was indeed abused by depp since u fully acknowledged that she suffers from ptsd and that the ptsd is directly related/linked to him. literally just proudly telling us that ”yeah i knew he had abused amber and that amber has ptsd from it so i decided that we should try to give her panic attacks and just totally torment her like wouldnt it be so funny to give her flashbacks so she feels like shes being raped again lol she will look so craaazyyy” like honestly kill urself

I feel like humanity would greatly benefit from a late adulthood support group. To my neurodiverse company, there are so many of us that got a late start into adulthood.

We could talk about what is like with little job experience or none at all.

College going in late, dropping out, or not going at all.

Relationships and navigating them as adults.

Having to live with parents or still supporting you in some way.

Being busy all the time or not at all and how that effects our mental health and what that means as adults to us. ( Adult busy is soo much different)

Special day for what I’m calling “Alternative, Nerdy, and Young At Heart Interests” A day where we talk about what it’s like and how to deal “what is weird but harmless and people have to deal with it” and “that’s crossing a line on my part how do I do better”.

Not having a license as an adult.

Navigating not having kids because it’s your choice, no money, physically can’t, or mentally it’s not something you can handle.

I seriously think it would help a lot of folks.
