Story: Babysitter Jinbe

Deaged Brooks physical age and mental age having such a large gap positively KILLS me because I can very easily imagine that the deaging process didn’t really…. Lets say it does and also doesn’t account for the inflicted to have certain wants or preferences an adult may have.

With other characters like Sanji it’s thankfully no issue, Apperantly his mind has deaged to a stage where Jinbe doesn’t have to worry about prying cigarettes from this child.

…. However with Brook….

Jinbe: “Hello Bro-…. What are you drinking?!”

Brook: RUM! : D

Jinbe: “NO!!!”

Laughing at the idea of Brook not quiiiite being mentally in his twenties and behaving like a child for the most part, but also part of him is like “I remember that brown bottle of funny juice on the shelf! I want that!”, not for any worrying reasons, it’s just memories getting blurred and he doesn’t actually quite know what that funny juice IS.

Let me tell you that I'm very excited to be able to work with a character like Brook!

We have so little information that it's crazy to think about the possibilities!

On the other hand, let me take the helm of this ship and guide you towards the idea I have in mind:

In the guide I previously published, I mentioned that Brook's mental age would be around 25 years. I did this guided by several factors:

-In an SBS, Oda clarifies that he died at 38 years old.

-He was a guardian of a West Blue kingdom before joining the Rumbar Pirates.

Since we don't have an exact age, I decided to choose an age in between being a guardian (assuming he started at 18) and his death.

As for whether we'll have to worry about the panty jokes he usually makes, I'll tell you in advance that this won't be the case!

From what they showed us of his past, he seemed to be a great gentleman (perhaps due to his time as a guardian), but those decades of solitude in the midst of darkness seem to be what ended up making him a bit crazy and uninhibited.

That doesn't rule out the possibility of mischief. After all, Brook is a pirate at heart!
