Not me writing some dialog and switching from German to English in the middle of the sentence by accident. I'm just so used to Finn swearing in English haha. I didn't even notice my mistake until I hit a word I didn't know the English translation of.😆
In other news, I started working on a little side story. It won't be published any time soon, but motivation hit so I'm taking the chance to prepare some stuff.

First time I played prom in years (usually I use LittleMsSam's Calendar Tweaks mod to disable proms and exams) and I wish this event wouldn't be as short. I barely had time to do any of the tasks, let alone have my sims actually enjoy the evening. 😞
And let's not get me started on the fact that all the other sims were wearing their hot weather outfits.

Just in case someone experiencing something similar after the most recent update!
I finally got back to my legacy save but apparently, San Myshuno festivals are more or less unplayable right now because all the festivals in an area spawn immediately whenever you load into an apartment.
Someone on AHQ investigated this and I was able to reproduce what they reported: Loading into non-apartment lots works with no problems but as soon as I loaded into an apartment, the festivals spawned and never left again ):
(Luckily, I have a backup but I lost around 15 hours of progress from this week which sucks but better than losing the entire save, I guess. I was looking forward to play with my legacy again but most of them live in San Myshuno, so no sims for me until this is fixed. Let's hope they fix this one quicker than...everything else ;-;)
Anyway, be careful out there! (And don't update for a bit if you haven't yet)

Just me playing around in Photoshop. I tried a new editing tutorial but the tutorial itself was for ProCreate and on top of that my Photoshop is set to German so following the instructions was a bit of a challenge.
It was fun to play around with more layers than I usually do, but I'm not sure if I like how blurry the final edit looks?

I've been the type of player who deleted all existing families and replaced them with their own sims. So I don't remember most of the families from earlier games.
If I had to pick one sim to have a comeback in Sims 4, I would probably pick Nervous Subject. I always felt sorry for him, but he's one of the few sims whose backstory I remember even 20 years later. Come to think of it, I really miss the days where the Sims Team felt bold enough to include families with darker backstories.

I had so much fun dressing up my sims for Halloween. The theme I picked for myself this year was "masquerade at the Immernacht circus" - so I went with something less spooky and a bit more elegant for the costumes! 🎪⚰️

Get ready for Simblr Bingo!
Simblr Bingo is a week-long event themed around community and engagement. The goal is to send as many asks, leave as many comments, and reblog as many posts as possible in a one-week time span.
To help you on your way, you'll get a unique Bingo Card with a variety of different challenges. For example, you might be tasked with Sending an anonymous ask to a mutual or reblogging a post featuring an elder Sim. Your goal is to complete as many challenges as you can and rack up the bingos!
How to Participate
It's simple! To get your bingo card, click here, then click "Play" and then "Player." Starting on Sunday, October 6th, post a screenshot of your bingo card with #simblr bingo (and link back to this post, if you can!)
Throughout the week, keep your eye out for chances to complete goals and mark off spaces on your card. You can either edit your downloaded card in an image editor or mark off your completed goals on the bingo website (be sure to bookmark your card!)
Rules for playing
No double-dipping! There might be some overlap in some of your challenges (for example, you might have squares that say Reblog a piece of CAS CC and Reblog your favorite hair) but you can only complete 1 objective at a time. To mark both as complete, you'll need to reblog 2 posts.
Spread the love! Try to engage with as many different people as possible. You might be able to complete your whole bingo card by going through the archives of a few friends and mutuals, but that's a lot less fun than seeking out new people to engage with.
Be nice! A few of the challenges say specifically to compliment someone on something, but that doesn't mean you can be a hater for the rest of the prompts. Focus on spreading positivity.

Tips for making a themed bingo
Check out the Simblr Bingo Starter List
Come up with different prompts and challenges for each category (asks, comments, reblogs). A good bingo game needs around 75 items to ensure all players have unique cards.
I tried for 30 ask prompts, 30 comment prompts, and 15 reblog prompts. I want to encourage people to actively engage with one-another versus only reblogging.
Try to include prompts that encourage people to talk to new people, engage with new stuff, and seek out to posts that get less attention.
Keep it positive! Focus on spreading positivity and making it fun for everyone.
Modco is such a scam. Used that site once with a throwaway mail. Never again. I'd rather 🏴☠️ that cc from any other site than to use Modco. Can't download whole sets unless you have a paid membership and are limited to 6 files/hour.

This may come as a surprise to some, as I've primarily used poses for my screenshots so far, but I actually spend most of my time in live-mode. There are times where I'm more inspired to hang around in CAS or Build/Buy, but usually I spend most of my time playing rather than building, decorating or dressing up my sims.
(Reason why I use poses for my screenshots is that I get to immersed while playing and often forget to take screenshots. So I have a second save where I recreate all the main events of my gameplay using poses to take proper screenshots)

Photoshop Tutorial #2 -
Paint Tears
This is the easiest thing in the world! You can do it in a minute. This is for anyone new to editing in Photoshop
Okay! Starting off by opening my pic in Photoshop - I'm choosing this one of a sadboy
I'll simply create 3 layers
grab a brush, set it to white,
and on the first layer, I paint some tear shaped blobs in the characters eyes - I'm just doing whatever, as long as the shapes are round and bubbly in some way, it's okay.
now, I'll set the opacity of that layer to around 25%
on the layer above, I want to draw some simple, round highlights with the same white brush
and set the opacity to around 30%
Finally, on the last (top) layer, I'm grabbing that same, white brush and making it really small - like, 2px.
Shortcut to increase & decrease brush size is [ and ]
and I'm going to paint some lines around the tears. Not all the way around, just kinda, artistically around some of the edges, and leaving other edges open.
now, I'll set the opacity to around 50%
I'm happy, so I'll flatten the image and save!
and that's it!

All speakers brought additional materials for the students to get a better impression of the jobs. Let's see which stall will be the most popular.
