The rough-stemmed bolete, scaber stalk, or birch bolete (lat. Léccinum scábrum). An edible type of mushroom with a brown cap and a beige stem with longitudinal dark scales.

This fungus grows in groups and singly in light mixed and deciduous forests of Eurasia, North and South America, in tundra and forest tundra next to dwarf birches. It appears in early summer and until the end of autumn, sometimes before frosts.🍃

In addition to the "good" mushrooms, a person can find quite a lot of poisonous ones in the forest. It seems to me that mushrooms with a high similarity to edible ones are particularly dangerous. In this photo, the false porcini, bitter bolete, gall mushroom, or bitterling (lat. Tylopílus félleus). Fortunately, it isn't deadly poisonous, but it can be poisoned.

At first glance, it's really easy to confuse it with a real porcini mushroom, but in fact it has an essential feature that quickly compromises it😄 It's white flesh quickly turns pink on the cut, while in real porcini it remains unchanged. In addition, it's very bitter, and heat treatment does not help to get rid of the unpleasant taste.🍄

In my experience, surprisingly, they don't occur in the same clearings where real porcini mushrooms grow, so if you visit the same forest, you can safely not go to the place where the false mushrooms growing.🌱

На данной фотографии ложный белый, желчный гриб или горчак (лат. Tylopílus félleus). К счастью, он не смертельно ядовитый, но отравиться им можно.

На первый взгляд его действительно легко спутать с настоящим белым грибом, но на самом деле у него есть существенный признак, быстро его компромитируюший😄 Его белая мякоть розовеет на срезе, в то время как у настоящего белого она остается неизменной. К тому же он сильно горчит и термическая обработка не помогает избавиться от неприятного вкуса.🍄

По моему опыту, удивительно, но ложный белый всегда растет отдельно и не встречается на тех же полянах, где растут настоящие белые грибы. Поэтому, если вы посещаете один и тот же лес, можно заранее скорректировать маршрут, исключив поляны с горчаком, не боясь пропустить вкусные грибы🌱

🌳We have two old-timers in our garden: an apple tree and this pear. My grandmother planted them when she was young. They have their own therapeutic help for me. Now, when everything is changing very much and sometimes it's not clear what will happen tomorrow, it's nice to come to my parents and see these two trees. They become a "constant" of my world🌳
