If you spend literal decades ingraining ideas like “we are all complicit in oppressive systems” and “we can all be oppressors with the best of intentions whether we want to or not” into leftist discourse (all true! not saying it isn’t!), and then follow up with “all oppressors are irredeemable and need to die horrifically violent deaths,” you do not have any room to act all shocked when people react by feeling threatened or upset.
Yes yes, I too am very sad and annoyed that Trump is not dead, I got all breathlessly excited and queued up "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" to be ready for a great announcement, and then I didn't even get to play it. It's a huge bummer.
However, step two of this huge bummer is NOT "Oh no and now his fandom will be EVEN MORE ANNOYING, we have basically already lost :((((" That is the devil speaking. Step two is to say "Ah heck, his fandom is going to be even more annoying, better FUCKING VOTE AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW ALSO VOTES" Stop your worthless defeatism, stop your stupid pessimism, stop trying to GIVE UP AND SURRENDER just cause one weird thing happened.
GO VOTE, IDIOTS

Republicans are, predictably, making up conspiracy theories and spreading lies to try to benefit from the tragedy. They are assigning blame, not based on any facts, but entirely based on who they want to blame.
However, the facts show that the shooter was not any of the Republicans' typical scapegoats.
He was one of their own, using an AR-15 style assault rifle — the exact type of killing machine Republicans adore and can't seem to live without.
If you want to assign blame, blame the Republican gun-loving shooter.
CPUSA national shut down the Austin TX club because of "factionalism", which apparently meant two people walked out of a speech about 'israel', and for 'black nationalism' (following the Black Panther Party program and praxis).
which, not to rub it in but come on, you can't be seriously surprised atp?
its absolutely shitty and revisionist and cowardly, shows that theres no hope of any actual change in the CPUSA without total destruction of any real progressive movement.
i hate that org for stymying any actual progressive movement, i hate the total separation from anything resembling revolutionary or subversive actions or plans.
but this is absolutely the way theyve been going. the fact that anyone was or would have been caught off guard is just not paying attention
