A redraw of a drawing i posted here on Tumblr when my account was almost just made, one of my early Paint tool Sai drawings. 

I really love this one, like, i adore this one a lot. 

I emphasized TUO’s ribs, on both his human half and his mythological creature half, i made his face look a lot more realistic, (although he does look a little like King Candy with that nose, but also a little rattish, either way, i still like it). 

The fluff is better fluff. 

The only thing i still was unable to fit in was his other pairs of arms on his human half. As well as, it seems, some of the other legs on his lower mythological creature body. Oh well, they’re probably tucked in amongst his own coils...

I really like this one, and will continue to redo some of my older drawings!

I didn't like the face of Gir’s side, so i edited it to make it a little more dragonish, i might redo/edit it again once i know of HOW to fix the hair, because i know i don't like it, but right now, i am not in a place where i can do such a thing...

Here is an updated version of my WIP for Human Bill!

I do not have a colored version as of yet, but i will end up having that as the next one. I also do not have his clothing design yet, but it will be the classic yellow and black, but also with some other colors too, especially when it comes to the collar.

Here are some notes about Bill, since i have his head down, none of them are in any particular order of importance, so don’t expect a good character sheet or something. 

Notes:

-          Touch starved, but still villainous. So, if he is flirty, he touch. If he wants to intimidate, touch. In the cuddly or on the shoulder sense...  

-          He isnt any set sexuality, he wouldn’t say that he is bi, or (whatever some people say when the person just doesn’t care what the other’s gender is, if they are of age, and if the one in love is, well, in love,), but he doesn’t necessarily care which gender he flirts with, male, or female. Sometimes flirts with Dipper, but on the “kid” level, and doesn’t go over the line with that.

-          The term “gender” is very fluid with Bill’s species, but in human terms, Bill is a male.

-          Gender is, well, at the moment, what influences the shape of the ‘mental demon’. (That’s what I call Bill Cipher specie wise at the moment, it will turn into something cooler in the end product). This means that although Bill is a male triangle, there are female triangles as well.

-          The ‘triangle’ that you see in the Gravity Falls, is only a sliver of what Bill really looks like. Its not an illusion, this is his form in Gravity Falls dimension, but I would say that his true form is something more close to his monster form in the final episode, but maybe a bit more monstrous… if you can imagine that. More royal or something rather than just a simple segmented pyramid.

-          Don’t be fooled by his seemingly thin and handsome exterior, (if you consider an evil magic using and mind warping mental demon that has burnt and twisted flesh handsome in the first place), he is actually using magic to keep his true form from leaking. And I do mean leaking quite literally. Like those aliens from Doctor Who, who stole human skin of those who were husky to live in them because they couldn’t fit in the thin ones, or a corset made out of illusion magic, he is actually even more uncomfortable to look at, even past the burns. (Do note that I am not judging people who are hefty, or overweight, or those who are burnt. I am meaning, with Bill, he is an overweight, monstrous nightmare of a demon creature hiding in a body that resembles that of a human but is somewhat leaking his true nature.)

-          The collar on his jacket, is made out of human flesh and bone, mostly gathered from Bill’s first victims back during the days that the mosaic that Stan, or Ford, I don’t remember who was who, found in the caves, was made. However, since flesh and bone end up rotting, even with Bill’s magic, which just slows the process down by several thousand years, the flesh, if Bill wants to keep it, needs to be replaced. So some of the flesh and skin are more recent than other pieces, however, Bill hasn’t replaced any in like a couple hundred years, so although it has been a while in human years, Bill doesn’t see the need to replace it. (It doesn’t stop him from endangering other lives though.) Bill can control this collar to make a cocoon around himself to protect himself, or to hide himself as… well.. something no human wants to touch. He can also trap another person in there with him… or multiple, but he doesn’t often do this unless he really likes to mess with said person. On the inside, its often rank and gross, but Bill can, if he wishes to, which is uncommon as he likes watching his victims suffer, change it via illusion to any texture and smell. He does this by changing the perception senses of the victim/person in question, rather than changing the flesh collar itself.

 What I know

-          Yellow hair, or at least, some of his hair is yellow. He might have a fade… or something… doesn’t have to be JUST yellow.

- He has a ring with a pyramid stone/decoration on it that can trap people’s souls or their entire body, (via magic, of course), inside of it. The ring is made out of the rarest element in the dimension wheel (in Gravity Falls lore, the wheel with the 2nd dimension, 3rd dimension, and so forth), Golden Nightmarium. [Name is up to be changed, but i want it to be something to do with nightmares and golden, since it looks like normal gold, but with extradimensional properties]

What I need to figure out

-Is there a creative outfit that I can put him in other than a suit or vest? Not saying that I wouldn’t love to have him in this outfit, but is there any other cool clothing I could put in his wardrobe? He could do some silly magic skits in a dress, but that’s just to be dramatic. And, while mind sharing/controlling someone else, he would take into account the gender, and then just put his flare into their gender preferred clothing. He respects someone’s gender… he’s not homophobic, he likes oddities...

-Because this is my version, would I make the magic system a little more complex for Bill? I mean, I could keep it to be entirely original and make it just so simple that he’d just need to snap his fingers, but I wonder if there should be some restrictions. Something I just recently remembered is that he doesn’t even need to do that. I think I might keep it mostly to the original, but he’d usually need to snap his fingers, especially if he wants it properly aimed. If he just wants to get everyone’s attention, he probably could do something like the other things he’d be able to do. Or at least, THE LEAST he’d need to do is snap. Some of the other more powerful things would need a bit more of a complex system. Like, maybe the more books/journals/pages that he has, the less restrictions that he has?

Story notes - meaning not just focused on Bill himself

-          Because this could turn out to be an entire movie, if not a live action series, (if this ever comes out at all), I think the books should have been found by pages, not by entire book as a whole, (maybe they begin as a whole, but then some hero shreds it and spreads it around the world to keep it from Bill), so the main protags not only have three whole books to find, but the PAGES of the book as well. The entire book worked for the original show because there were more mysteries to solve other than just that, so there were some distractions between each book focused episode.

-          I think Grunkle Stan (whoever wore the fez, sometimes i get their named switched up,) would be a bit more mysterious about things, that is if I am keeping the Stan trying to free his brother from the other realm aspect to the movie. I think there should be more aspects to where he seems to be talking about freeing someone or some thing, and some might think he is talking about Bill, but obviously, it turns out that he isn’t referring to Bill, but rather his brother.

-          Bill will try to deceive Gideon, obviously, and in the scene/episode heavily based where the main protagonists chase Bill into the mindscape of Grunkle Stan, he might even be more terrifying than he was in the original. Still the playful creep that he was, but less… “child friendly” as he was in the original. In the scene that Gideon summons Bill, i like the idea of the spell being “backwards message” backwards, to keep the silliness of the original in there to somewhat “balance” out the absolutely creepy summoning scene, but i think it should be somewhere a bit creepier than in the middle of the woods. Mabel and Soos should be in the nearby area by accident/coincidence, rather than Gideon being really close to the Mystery Shack. (It was by luck that it was only Mabel and Soos in earshot really). I also don’t want the ritual to be too “satanic” and too referencing to actual religion, if that is at all possible, while still being creepy... how do i do this? (No pentagrams pls).

-          In the episode/section that Bill takes over Dipper’s body, (Sock Opera), his half of the deal is very close to his original point in the original episode, just with a bit of added arguments and stuff on his side. (If his original deal was made in the real world rather than what was used in the original, I don’t think that Dipper wouldn’t have made the deal). Bill also has a different motive to make this deal in the first place, other than Mabel’s puppet show, if the puppet show thing is still even in this time/story line. But rather to get closer to the main character, which is a self insert, because the other MCs know how interested Bill is of her. Dipper doesn’t, or hasn’t pieced it together yet, or at least Bill doesn’t tell him. Obviously. Bill is a sneaky MF.

-          Bill’s monster form is different from the original because he isnt always in his triangle form. Yes, he is still seen in his flat triangle form in the live action as well, but more to try to seem less intimidating to those who haven’t interacted with him before and don’t know who he is.

-          The bubble that kept weirdmaggedon in is a bit more complex now. It BEGAN as it was in the original, but now its just numbing Bill’s powers. He is still incredibly powerful, compared to non powered humans, but he isnt able to cause Weirdmaggedon level chaos, or the same exact level of chaos as he was capable of doing in Gravity Falls. Or at least without doing some crazy rituals or long things that people could easily, or easier than they did in the original show, dodge and get out of the way/range of if they know what to look for. Kind of like... a genie that doesn’t necessarily need wishes to do their magic, but still not the ruler of the universe. So no more snapping and then someone’s facial features literally get scrambled in a split second!
