A/n: Lol I don't have much friends or someone to comfort me and I'd really love to have someone. Idk if you can classify this as angst but this might make some people sad.

Yeonjun

"Y/n-ah!" You heard you Yeonjun's voice "Where are you?" He whined as he walked through the semi dark appartment switching on the lights. "There you are" he said in relief as he found you face red, eyes bloodshot red due to crying, features still trembling.

"J-jun" you said in a soft voice, looking at him with eyes and it physically hurt him to see you this way. You were generally the chirpy one who always partnered with him on his chaotic deeds so seeing you like that, sitting on the bathroom floor, crying for hours, broke him. He rushed to hug you, and you hugged him back almost clinging to him for dear life. He'd hug you tighter "lets get you up and to the bed okay?" He'd say before pulling away and pulling you up by your arms and taking you to the bed where he'd wrap you up and hold you close, feeding you chocolates and ice cream, talking about how what happened could have happened to anyone and it was specifically your fault. He'd look into your eyes and say "It's okay, you tried you best, it wasn't enough so you try again and this time you will overdo yourself from last time and succeed"

"I believe in you" he'd say and hug you as you'd shed silent tears and he'd simply let you cry it out.

Soobin

Shutting people out, that's a habit of yours, when you are upset, your mind keeps telling you 'Noone will understand you'. Soobin knows that and he's been there, waiting for you to come to him but that was in the past. That is why here the tall guy is sitting at the edge of your bed as you sob out on his shoulder.

He knows what it's like to be alone and he also knows you'd do the same for him. So, he would just be there ready to listen when you talk. He would wait patiently unless you've cried yourself out or spoken to him "It's okay to cry, do not bottle your feelings" he'd say and he'd just run his big hands, on your arms in a soothing manner and to make you feel that no matter what happens, no matter who come he, would always be there for you. "I will not let you shut me out and cry alone, you're stuck with me" he would assure you.

He'd try to act cute to get a reaction from you, smiling to himself like an idiot when you give in. He'd go as far as to force you out of bed and sober you up to take you for a stroll, or for a run of your favourite dessert/food. He'd sing for you as you both would be sitting alone at your favourite roof top feeling the cold night breeze against your face.

Beomgyu

This guy is a comedy himself, but the moment he'll see your face or watch you rush out of the room, he'd follow you. He'd probably find you in a secluded area, breathing heavily, trying your best not to break down. But one "Y/n" from him and all your controls would break and he'd rush to hug you.

He is not the best with words so he'll let his actions speak louder. He'll stay quiet, scared that he might make things worse by saying the something wrong. He'd simply draw comforting patterns on your back as you bowled out your eyes, probably getting his t-shirt wet, but he wouldn't care, you are the most important. He'd wait untill you would be ready to speak.

He'd try his best to recall some stupid jokes that you liked and tell them to you and you'd surely end up laughing leading to Beomgyu smiling at you like an idiot. Then telling him what happened, while he listens closely.

Taehyun

"What's up, loser" he'd say taking a seat beside your curled up body. No he doesn't mean ut, it's just his way of kinda the testing the waters. Only to make you sob a but harder and his eyes would go wide. You know Taehyun isn't much of a person for physical love, so even you'd be a bit shocked when he'd hug you, but you'd shift into his embrace none the less.

"It's fine, trust me, we'll fix it together" he assure you as he'd rub soothing circles on your back. "What if it can't be fixed?" You'd ask looking at him with big teary eyes. "Then we'll do it all over again" he'd say looking damn into your eyes with a reassuring smile. He would stay beside you the whole time, be it hours even.

He would have finally ordered your favourite food and force you to eat it. Then finally he'd talk to you in deep with what happened. The two of you would walk through every detail and steps and he'd help you figure iut exactly what things might have gone wrong and where are the weak points. He'd help you figure out exactly where the points of improvement are.

Heuning-Kai

He has always been your comfort person, the person you can go to when your upset or anything really. He'll always be there for you to support you, to cheer you up and to help you get back on your feet. Hence, when he'd get to know from a common friend that they saw you upset he'd rush to call you dropping everything else.

"Y/n! Y/n! Are you okay?" He'd ask searching your eyes, and he'd almost feel his own heart break seeing you so down. Being the affectionate person he is, he'd spread his arms wide for you to confide into him as you cry even harder. He'd hold you tighter as he'd feel your body shake from the amount of hurt you've endured. No, he won't ask you what's wrong, he'll just let you cry it all out, silently he won't even utter a single word and just hold you and run his fingers through your hair in a calming manner. He won't ask you because he knew you'd tell him yourself when you're ready.

And finally whe you do, he'd still hold you as you speak your mind out, he'd let you be vulnerable and catch you and would want to keep you safe. He would assure you that it will all be fine, that all this will ultimately lead to a greater good. When you'd be unsecure he'd tell you how well you've done in other things before and how he knows you'll get through this as well and he'd be right beside you to cheer you on.

ch. xxv - TRAITOR

wooyoung × reader, ??? × reader

in a school filled with the affluent, it would only make sense for birds of a feather to flock. but what if your new status doesn't immediately buy you a way into said flock? what if instead, it bought you sure rejection? to the rich and powerful, having different masks is a must. despite some people knowing your true self and your secrets

To say that the atmosphere was awkward is truly an understatement. It was so thick, you could cut the tension with a plastic pudding cup spoon. The whole time you were trying to focus on your assignment with Kai, but you felt Wooyoung's arm on the back of your chair. Whenever you stole glances at Wooyoung, he and Yeonjun seemed to be in an intense staring battle which if you don't know any better, feels a bit sexual.

"Do you want me to do the presentation slide??" Kai offered with a grin, averting your attention from Kai and Yeonjun. You smiled back and were about to speak when Wooyoung spoke up, "You think you can do a better job than (y/n)?" He snarled. Automatically, you nudged him harshly in his stomach with your elbow, causing him to choke on his own breath as you smiled innocently at the three people across you as if nothing had happened. "He was just kidding, I'd be happy if you wanna make the slides, Kai," you said.

Seeing the way you and Wooyoung interacted, Yeonjun smirked, "Let Kai help (y/n), Woo. Kai was just trying to be nice since he knows (y/n) has done so much outside of their joint assignment." You could feel Wooyoung's hand tensing on the back of your chair and you swore you heard his fingers cracking. Yeonjun seemed to take notice of Wooyoung's tenseness as well because he soon leaned on the table with the expression of a sly fox etched on his face as he added, "How many assignments did you make (y/n) do this week? Or did you make her go beyond assignments like say... Making her take your name in competitions?"

Before Wooyoung could react (and you believe he was about to punch the living daylights out of Yeonjun), Yunho had been quick to pull Wooyoung up and out of his seat. "Hey! I could use another americano and I think we can take a look at some cakes like the one Taehyung's eating" Yunho laughed. Taehyun's eye twitched and he muttered out lowly, "My name's Taehyun. No G," he grumbled. Yunho turned back to look at Taehyun and said 'sorry' before scurrying off to the cake display.

When they were out of earshot, you frowned at Yeonjun. "What was that all about ?" You asked. Despite your disapproving tone, he had a look of utter please as he leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed in front of him with eyes trained to Wooyoung and Yunho, "Just teasing between old friends," he reasoned. You reached to snap your finger in front of him to get his attention and when he turned to look at you, you pushed his forehead with the back of your pen, "Well cut it off, Jun. Kai and I wanted to work together and I wanna get to know Taehyun. Contrary to popular belief, you picking on Wooyoung and baiting him to get mad will only make me pop a blood vessel so CUT. IT. OUT," you spoke fast through gritted teeth.

Yeonjun raised his hands in defence, "Hey, all you had to do was ask," he shrugged. Seeing you talk to Yeonjun with so much confidence, Taehyun raised an eyebrow at you, "So you're just telling people what to do and what not to do?" he asked. You don't know what came over you because you never talked to someone you don't know like that, but you turned to him and with eyes staring dead straight at him, you answered confidently, "When they're known to make bad decisions and is incapable of humbling down to admit mistakes, heck yeah I do."

Amused, the corner of Taehyun's lip twitched and he chuckled at your answer, "Good point. I can see why Kai likes you so much," he said. You smiled back at him and shrugged, "Well, I like Kai a lot too, so I hope we can all get along very well for the sake of us," "And our assignment!" Kai added, nodding firmly.

It didn't take long for Yunho and Wooyoung to come back to the table with a plate of cake in Wooyoung's hand. They seemed to have been talking about something because Yunho was giving Wooyoung a look that seemed to make Wooyoung scoff. Honestly, you wanted to know what they were talking about but that moment didn't seem appropriate.

Thankfully when both of them sat down, no one said anything that might provoke violence among people.

For a while, you and Kai could work peacefully, even Taehyun and Yunho jumped in to help. Sure, they weren't interacting with each other, but at least they weren't Yeonjun and Wooyoung who spent the whole time glaring at each other. Yeonjun slurped his drink every so often and Wooyoung munched on his cake so slow that by the time you and Kai decided to take a break, their food and drink were still mostly there. And yes, they were still glaring at each other.

"All I'm saying," Taehyun paused to take a sip from his own coffee, "You both had the option of using the better data, why even humour the idea of using another data that has been proven to be less superior from prior research just because you wanna use the domain in the bibliography," he scoffed.

"Kinda like you and Jongho isn't it?" Wooyoung retorted.

Everyone at the table froze when he spoke up and you had a sinking feeling that things were about to escalate. "What?" Taehyun snapped his head to Wooyoung with big eyes and eyebrows furrowed. Wooyoung shrugged and pointed his fork at Taehyun, "The Open House performance last year? Your department appointed Jongho to perform based on his achievements and recommendation, yet you still demanded they open an audition for the part. Even then you still lost fair and square," he laughed mockingly.

You could see Taehyun seething in his seat, both of his knuckles were white from clenching so hard and his teeth bared. The first thing you thought was to step in and defuse the situation but sadly you weren't quick enough.

"At least he did things on his own, his merrits were his own. I can't say the same for you though and the Board of Education seemed to have suspected the same thing considering they took time considering my input," Yeonjun added.

You could've sworn that you were paying attention. But in a split second, you saw the cake that was on Wooyoung's plate fly above Yeonjun's head and splattered on the back of a passing cafe employee. The next thing you know, Wooyoung leapt over the table to tackle Yeonjun. The smaller of the two pinned the other with his hands on the other's collar. Yeonjun wrapped his own hands around Wooyoung's in an attempt to pry his hands off but at that moment, it was obvious that Wooyoung was much stronger and one can assume it was because of his emotions taking over him.

It was utter chaos. Yunho and Kai jumped up to pull their friends off each other while Taehyun glared at Wooyoung with so much hatred. Despite wanting to do something, you honestly could only stay frozen. It was the first time you had seen Wooyoung like that since childhood when he came to fight Yoo Hawon, your 3rd-grade bully. Even then, he was never angry to this point. It kind of scared you.

But after seeing the commotion they created, the people watching and whispering at the scene, and the employees panicking with who you can only guess the manager walking towards you all, you can only be pissed that what was supposed to be a relaxing and fun time had become ruined completely.

As the manager talked to Yunho and Kai, your gaze fell on Wooyoung who was heaving on the floor. Initially, he looked like he still had it in him to fight Yeonjun, but when he saw you looking at him with much disdain and disappointment, he knew he just pissed you off. And boy, he don't know why one look from you managed to scare him but it did.

Summary: The arcane are everywhere around you they are actually more normal than you think, but what of the anomalies in the arcane like Y/n? It definitely isn't easy. Specially when the nature is always out there to get you and the ones one you love. Loosing a loved one is difficult but when you've done it a couple of times. No matter how many births he took, watching Hyunjin fade wasn't easy for you. How far are you willing to go this time to protect him? Would things be different this time round?
