These Two Are So Oblivious It Makes It Even Cuter When They Interact
these two are so oblivious it makes it even cuter when they interact đđ

ᄫᥠthe look of love: a popular trope in movies and shows where one character longingly and lovingly stares at another, hoping theyâd notice. but in this case, two idiots are staring with love dripping from their eyes when the other isnât looking. or in which everyone can see it clearly, but you and sangyeon.

pairing: sangyeon x gn reader, appearances by tbz younghoon and chanhee word count: 6k genre: fluff, idiots/friends to lovers, mutual pining, slight humor, college au warnings: swearing, one college party that involves drinking (not the mcâs tho), movie references, itâs just all fluff. srsly my sangyeoness jumped out and so should yours Iâm DEMANDING respect be put on this mans name
feedback appreciated <3

âstop staring,â younghoon whispers. sangyeonâs eyes tear away from you, only to roll them at his friend.Â
âam notâ he huffs. âIâm just⊠looking around the library, you know?âÂ
of course he was looking at you. how could he not when you were smiling so bright like the sun while talking to a friend? your hair fell perfectly in all the right places that allowed him to see the face that has been filling his dreams, both day and night. saying he liked you would be a major understatement. sangyeon is absolutely whipped for you.Â
âyeah, sureâ younghoon snorts, dropping the pen he was holding onto the table. ânothing like looking around the old, dusty library right? seriously sang, just tell them how you feel! Iâm in pain watching you watch them from afar.â clutching his heart dramatically, younghoon pretends to double over in agony which causes sangyeon to crumple up a piece of paper and throw it at him.Â
âshut up, hoonâ sangyeon retorts. âI canât just tell them, you know that. and Iâm absolutely fine with just admiring them from afar.â sighing, the boy drops his chin in his hands as he holds a soft look in his eyes. from the moment he met you, he knew he was done for. you and sangyeon started out as partners for a two month-long physics project where your days and nights were filled with spending time together. laughter and jokes constantly filled the air to ease the stress of the work you had to do, along with moments of comfort when things just got a little too frustrating.Â
thee moment, though, was when you made cups of tea to soothe your souls because coffee was making you both delirious. you had approached him with hot mugs in each of your hands and a cheesy smile on your face. the minute âtea for my cuteaâ came out of your mouth, it was over for him.Â
younghoon watched his friend who had sickeningly sweet honey dripping from his eyes as he stared at you ahead and shook his head slightly. âkeep staring like that long enough, sang,â he says. âand theyâll eventually turn their head.â

HELLO THIS WAS SO GOOD?
written in ink | n.jm

genre âł Â historical au (early 19th century), fluff, angst, strangers to loverspairings âł professor!jaemin x fem!reader (ningning and karina are mentioned)word count âł 15.3k warnings âł mentions of alcohol, mental illnesses and disorders info âłÂ second installment of batc! surprisingly, this was the one i started writing first, but it took a while to figure out how i wanted to end it. click here to read the other works :)

The oak doors of the Provostâs office are no less intimidating than they were five years ago, towering over any students who find themselves bold enough to meet him.
Even now, Jaemin finds himself swallowing nervously before knocking, even if he is the university equivalent of a teacherâs pet. This meeting would determine everything for his future classes and his research funding. Psychology already had little backing compared to the other departments - Jaemin refused to let it languish away under him.
âAh. Professor Na. Sit down, please.â The leather armchair is comfortable, and costs much more than the one he has in his office - the benefits of being the Provost reach far and wide, Jaemin supposes, even to the furniture.
âI called you today for something important. As you know, our university has a limited number of scholarships available for the faculty each year.â
Jaemin feels eagerness rise up at the thought of being one of the few professors selected to receive the scholarship in mention, which would provide money - plenty of it. Heâs young, though, and the odds are not in his favour when measured up against the eminent figures who have been here for decades.
Still, Jaemin hopes that graduating with first-class honours and being the youngest professor in the history of the university counts for something.

yellow carnations | j.changmin

synopsis: having a crush on your neighbourhood florist might be something out of a romance book but yours seemed like it came out of a book of misfortune.

genre: angst, a bit of fluff

âwelcome!â a very familiar voice called out to you as you entered the quaint flower shop, the bell chiming above you. âoh, hey y/n,â changmin said as he saw who came into his parentsâ shop. to be frank, he wasnât surprised to see you here as you seem to be here every other day for god knows what reason but he just assumed you found comfort in the floral scent.
âhi, changmin. iâll be at the cafĂ© stand first,â you waved then pointing to the makeshift drink stand the flower shop had by the corner. he nodded and you took the cue to leave. while the reason you kept coming here was somewhat true, letâs face it, the bigger reason why you came was because of said boy.Â
changmin and his parents had moved to your city for the last three years and you still remember how you felt when you first saw him during your afternoon stroll. his blonde hair immediately caught your attention and you made it a mission to find out more about him.
Ëâ⥠ â*àłàŒ
humming a tune under your breath, you werenât too alert of your surroundings which lead to you crashing into a guy carrying several plastic bouquets. âwoah! oh my, iâm so sorry,â you immediately got down to your knees and helped him pick up the dropped flowers when you regained your senses.Â
the flowers were absolutely beautiful and you had never seen them before. an exotic flower? âwow, these are so pretty! iâm sorry i dropped them..â you trailed, finally looking up at the taller male, immediately taken aback by his looks. âheh, itâs okay, it didnât do too much damage,â he chuckled, gripping the bouquets tighter before continuing, âthese are actually crocuses, they symbolise new beginnings.âÂ
âooh, how do you know so much?â you were intrigued to say the least, a boy pops up out of nowhere and is suddenly spitting out flower symbols? âwell first, hi, iâm changmin. my parents and i just moved into the neighbourhood and weâre setting up our family flower shop just down this road,â he explained.Â
âthatâs so cool! iâm y/n, iâll be sure to come visit,â you smiled gently at the thought of meeting him more often. âyea, of course. i have to go now, see you around y/n,â he waved goodbye, a whiff of his perfume lingered in your nose as he walked past you.Â
oh boy, he has you wrapped around his finger for sure.
Ëâ⥠ â*àłàŒ
here you were, sat at a small table, sipping your strawberry acai refresher as you watched changmin mingle with the customers and not hesitating to help them out whenever they needed it. you couldnât help but allow a grin to form on your face, seeing his outgoing personality.Â
ây/n, if youâre in love with my son, just tell me, iâll do the rest!â changminâs mom came from the storage room, approaching you with a knowing look. âmrs ji, itâs not like that,â you played it off, a red hue basically forming on your cheeks. âyea, yea, denial is the first step,â she laughed at you before stirring her own mug of coffee.Â
the two of you continued your conversation when changmin finally came over when the storeâs peak hour was over. âiâll leave you guys to it,â his mom kinda threw you under the bus with that comment and that smirk on her face but changmin didnât see it or pretended not to see it because he didnât say anything.Â
âso, may i be of any assistance today, miss y/n?â he asked, jokingly. âhm, i think so, sir changmin! whatâs a flower that represents admiration?â you played along, which was something he was definitely not expecting but he took in your words. âwell, you could get either dianthuses or dahlias, both have several meanings but admiration is one of the more known reasons,â he placed his chin on his palm, pondering about his flower knowledge.Â
you simply nodded but his words caught you off-guard, âwhat do you need them for?â coughing slightly, you could only reply, âitâs for.. research! yeah! a uni project, mhm.â you didnât think he was this gullible but he bought your reason and abruptly stood up. he reached behind the counter before he handed you a small A5 sized book, âfloriographyâ.Â
when you flipped through it, you were surprised to see detailed illustrations of flowers and their symbols, âoh wow, what is this book?âÂ
âi got it when i first started getting into this florist industry so i figured this would be really informative for your project, feel free to borrow it for as long as youâd like!â he beamed at you and your heart could only take so much. âa-are you sure? doesnât this mean a lot to you?â you stuttered, not believing what changmin is doing for you. âi mean, yea but you need it more,â he sheepishly grinned and you only threw your arms around his shoulder. âthank you!âÂ
you left the flower shop with a giddy feeling, book close to your chest as you hugged it. you did feel bad because first, this book means a lot to him and second, you didnât even have a uni project. you simply had admiration for changmin. i mean, he was an amazing florist and he couldâve been doing what he enjoys but he instead took care of his family business, starting at a young age. you were head over heels for him.
you were scanning the pages when two flowers caught your eyes. âred tulipsâ and âgladiolusâ. red tulips meant passion and love, almost saying âmy feelings are trueâ while gladiolus had the symbolism of infatuation and admiration. seeing these, you took it as the perfect time to send these to changmin.Â
it was a really bold step but you felt that you had kept this crush on him for the longest time already, the timing should be right. the worst that could happen was he would reject you and you will have to put up with that..
who are you kidding? your world would probably crash down and youâd die of embarrassment! your own thoughts made this so much harder to decide what to do. but, before you knew it, you were already placing a bouquet of red roses, tulips and gladiolus on the flower shop doorstep, an hour before the shop would start to operate.Â
you donât know what came over you but you felt like you had to run away so you did. run away from these thoughts of uncertainty and insecurity. you prayed for him to return the feelings and you could only pace around the room, waiting for a reply.Â
several days had passed and you completely avoided the shop incase changmin would feel uncomfortable because he has yet to reply to you. even though you badly wanted to see him, youâd rather not make matters worse.Â
you were in your room, drawing flower sketches all over your notes when the doorbell rang. you begrudgingly stepped towards the front door and was met with a bouquet of yellow flowers. a card on the front had your name on it so you immediately brought it to your room.Â
you took a deep breath in before ripping the card apart from the staple. it read, âto: y/n, from: changminâ. wait, changmin? he gave you flowers? oh my god, he gave you flowers! today was a happy day and that was the only thing you could think of.
you hastily opened the card and he only wrote two words in there. âyellow carnations.â
hold on, these words were familiar to you. youâve seen this in the book he gave you before. you were almost like a mad woman, flipping and scanning through every page until you found âyellow carnationsâ. you hoped for the best but the words written in the book only made you feel like digging a hole in the backyard for yourself.
âyellow carnations symbolise rejection and disdain.â

ham sandwiches

wc: 0.9k | p: steve harrington x gn!reader | g: fluff, bff2more | w: single steve sadge
It's a pleasant surprise to see Steve Harrington striding into the hardware store with a small, cautious smile, looking almost bashful when his eyes can't seem to meet yours.
"Greetings," You say, leaning forward behind the cashier counter and resting your jaw on your open palm. "Looking for anything?"
"Just a companion," Answers Steve, shrugging as he nonchalantly slides over the flat surface that you'd just wipedâ you couldn't care less, anywayâ and faces you. He holds up two squares covered in a thin layer of plastic foil, "I brought two sandwiches... by total accident, of course. Thought I'd come 'n give one to you and maybe while I'm here spend some time with you while I'm on my break, hm?"
"Robin wouldn't want it?" You cock a brow up at him, but take the sandwich he'd offered nonetheless. "Nah," The boy brushes off. "Apparently she doesn't like ham."
That's a lie. A big fat lie. Robin loves ham sandwiches, as a matter of fact, but Steve had brought two sandwiches deliberately to spend time with you. It's a win for the both of you, though, because he knows very well you barely have any time to buy a snack for yourself given that you're the only employee working next door to the Family Video Store.
"Oh, thanks then." You beam as you unwrap the foil. Sliding down against the side of the counter, you pat on the floor next to you, emitting a content hum when you take the first bite into the meal and press your knee against his when he settles next to you.
âHowâs business lately?â Your question is slightly muffled, courtesy of your mouthful of food, but Steve finds it a little funny and cute when you swipe a few crumbs off the corner of your mouth. âEh, you know, itâs a normal deserted Monday. Quite the hoard of patrons last Saturday, though,â
You suppress a smile, âThe hoard being another chick looking to rent out a movie to watch with a date?â
Your best friend groans, squishing the bread of his sandwich between his clenching fingers as he obnoxiously leans all his body weight against you, âPlease, spare me the teasing. Robin is bad enough as it is. I donât think I can handle yours.â
Truth be told, Steve couldnât care less about said chicks and their dates. Ever since his epiphany and the lecture both Robin and Dustin had given him after heâd moped on about that date youâd gone out to, it was surprisingly easy to brush off everything else for the sake of doing anything related to you.
âOkay, okay. Itâs not like Iâd want you dating any other person you come across anyway.â You admit, pulling on a piece of lettuce that wonât seem to break off despite your efforts in bitting. Itâs especially covered in the âsecret sauceâ Steve had made, but you frankly wouldnât care if any got onto your uniform.
âI donât ask anyone out, L/N, I guess Iâm just-â Steve stammers a little over his words, straining the air out of his throat in hopes that you wouldnât hear although you sit next to him, leg swung over his as you watch him find the right words. âI guess Iâve just been lonely lately.â
Your lips are pursed a little as you adjust and sit up in your position. âI mean, if you put it that wayâŠâ
Steve watches (unintentionally hard) when youâre a little in thought, tapping your half-eaten sandwich against your chin. There are still crumbs on your cheek that youâd failed to scrub off, and he resists the urge to do it for you because god what heâd give to just hold you.
âBeing lonely isnât all that bad,â Your eyes cast up to the ceiling lights of the hardware store that flickers a little. âwhen youâve got someone to be lonely with.â
Steve cracks out into a grinâ a toothy, content one that only you can give himâ and slowly brings up the ends of his fingers to swipe at the crumbed skin of your cheek. Seemingly startled (but not opposing), you turn to look at him, laying your sandwich on top of his that rests on your lap.
âHow about this,â Steveâs breath tickles your skin and ignites shiversâ good ones, like when you watch and enjoy an intense scene thatâs reaching the climax of your favorite movie. âYou and me, weâll be lonely together around my place? Watch a movie? I swear Iâll pick out a good one,â
You chuckle, closing your eyes in pure disbelief that Steve Harrington could be potentially, possibly, probably, perhaps, feasibly be asking you out.
âIâm free tomorrow night,â You say in a nonchalant manner, though your chest beats in a racing pulse as you bring a slightly shaky hand up to take another bite out of that god-sent sandwich from a god-sent boy whoâd just asked you out on a god-sent date.
Steve, inexplicably happy, stands up and leans down to take his sandwich from your lap, âIâll pick you up at 8.â He plants his lips on your forehead, you can feel his smile against it, and releases with the most obnoxious and loud smooch noise youâd ever heard, which earns another chuckle from you.
âDonât be late,â He says, climbing over the cashier counter.
âI wonât,â
âIâll see you!â
âThank you for the ham sandwich, Steve.â
