↬ a/n: now that i’m reading this (its 7/3/23) to all the people who are so madly in love with their beloveds to have gone to such an extend are really remarkable 

“I’ve set up a blind date with CEO Park Minjae of Shinhwa Food Corporation tomorrow at 2pm. Come back home to get dressed up before going.” That was the first thing your mother mentioned as soon as you picked up the call. “Mother! I have plans!” You sat up straighter in your seat. “He’s about the same age as you and if you two have a great relationship this will boost our company as well!” Your mother pointed out. In the end, it really was all about the company. Rolling your eyes, you had an inkling your mother was going to bring up your elder brother. “Your elder brother is also doing well from his blind date!” Your brother and his wife had a very platonic relationship. It was “all for show”, as what your brother had told you. 

“Yeah, but I love Hyunjae! I’ve said it a thousand times and I won’t hesitate to say it again. “Daughter, he is not the one for you. I will not hesitate to get someone to fetch you. No more excuses on why you can’t go.” Your father’s baritone voice sounded and you zipped your mouth, pushing all the curse words that were about to escape back down into the recesses of your mind. “I expect to see you back at home by 12pm.” With that the call ended and you sagged in your seat. “Can I come in now?” Hyunjae timidly asked and you opened your arms. Running towards you he hugged you, holding you tight in his warm embrace. 

“Is it what I think it is?” You and Hyunjae have been dating for close to a year now, but your parents decided that dating a celebrity “did not look good on him and especially on you”. There have been many attempts by your mother to set you up with multiple people, but you’ve come to a point whereby you’ve run out of reasons. “Why aren’t you mad at me or anything?” You looked up at him, your arms still around his waist. 

“I know you love me. And I trust you too.” He sincerely gazed at you. You were so lucky, oh so lucky. Hyunjae loved you so deeply and you were just so full of love whenever he’s around you.  “I have a plan.” You moved to the middle of the bed and Hyunjae followed your lead. “What’s your plan?” 

You blurted out, “I bring you to see my parents tomorrow.” “Yeah sure my schedule is free...your parents?” He did a double take and you hid your face in his neck, “I don’t...know.” A slow, inkling feeling seeped through your veins, but Hyunjae pressed a kiss on your nose, “I’ll go with you if that’s what you want.” 

“I...really don’t deserve you.” You leaned over and pressed a kiss on his lips. “You do. We’ve been patient with one another.” He hummed as he pulled you into his lap,  “You with my overseas scheduling and comebacks and me with your own company. I’m grateful that we came this far.” 

“I’m grateful for you too, Hyunjae.” 

“So, dress me up tomorrow. Make me the most dashing man ever.” 

(Bursting out laughing, you promised to dress him up nicely to meet your parents. And when he showed you the brightest smile he could muster, your heart skipped a beat and you’ve fallen hard for Lee Hyunjae.)

“I wonder what they are doing inside.” Sunwoo playfully wiggled his eyebrows and Chanhee shook his head, “Leave them be. They’ve not seen each other for so long. They are probably spending some down time together.” 

Everyone (or actually just Sunwoo, Chanhee and Changmin) in the living room whipped their heads to the door when they heard Hyunjae’s laughter erupting. “I’m sorry, but did I hear that right?” Changmin commented in disbelief, his cup full of milk not reaching his mouth. “Did Hyunjae just laugh?” Jacob poked his head out of his room and the three of them nodded. Jacob hummed, “I hope they aren’t having too much fun.”

“HAHAHAHAHAHAH!” Hyunjae burst out, laughing when you accidentally dropped the controller and lost Mario Kart. “Hey! That wasn’t fair!” You huffed as you put your hands on your waist, before putting the controller down and attacking Hyunjae. He toppled over on the bed, giving you access to his sides. “Oh my god! No!” Hyunjae’s eyes widened and you began tickling his sides, giggling as you did so.

“They sure sound like they are having fun.” Eric has joined in the party, not focusing on the movie on the screen, but rather as to what’s going on inside. “I didn’t think...there would be this much laughter.” Haknyeon rubbed his chin. “SHUSH!” They are going to hear us if we speak louder than the movie.” Kevin gestured for everyone to lower their volume.

You were curled up next to him, cracking up at the variety show you two were watching. You’ve watched it a ton of times, but “Come On! The Boyz” was much better when watching it with Hyunjae. Hyunjae wiped away a tear, watching how The Boyz were playing the whisper challenge and failing miserably. “Ya, Hyunjae? How bad can you be?” The corner of your lips were turned up, a grin was splayed widely on his face. “I mean, if you were to whisper to me I think I wouldn’t be able to hear with earmuffs on.” Hyunjae pointed out. A second of silence fell amongst you two, but the two of you chuckled.

“How bad can Hyunjae be…? In bed…?” Juyeon tentatively raised an eyebrow. Some more laughter was heard and Sangyeon mirrored his actions, “Suspicious.” Jacob gasped, “ Not you too!” “Says the one who came out of the room to join us.” Younghoon shrugged. The 10 of them were seated in the living room, inching closer and closer to the room you two were in. The door swung inwards and Eric tried to remain his cool, “H-Hi noona!” Sunwoo helpfully provided as Eric’s face heated up. Everyone scrambled out of the living room, or tried to do something normal. Hyunjae stood behind you and straightened your hair. Sunwoo made eye contact with Eric and nudged him away. 

“I’ll make a move first! Bye everyone!” You waved goodbye and Hyunjae giggled, “Bye love.” Changmin and Chanhee gagged in the background while the rest of them hid their faces. Hyunjae closed the door and Younghoon immediately slid next to him, “So? Was it a smashing good time?” 

“Well, yeah.” Everyone did a double take. “What? I beat her at Mario Kart.” (cue everyone just shaking their heads)
