im back from my unplanned absence, and i bring back more player art bc they're my favourite character ever.

i spent entirely way too long on this screenshot redraw, and i didn't even get around to redrawing carmen's laptop :( ah well, maybe next time.

i spent an hour on tiny lil details taht no one's going to pay any attention to 😭 atleast i had fun doing them :)

thank you for the tag!! five things that make me happy, you say? hmmm...

1. my loved ones' laughter, especially if that laughter was caused by me. there's probably nothing in the world then hearing my friends be comfortable enough around me to openly laugh, because in my experience, i hate laughing around others i'm not comfortable with, so seeing other be comfortable with me and laughing makes me so, so happy.

2. drawing. as long as i can remember, i've always drawn atleast one thing a day. drawing is a safe space for me, a little land of my own that i can escape to and forget about everything else - my responsibilities, the passage of time... anything that isn't what i'm currently drawing will erase (pun intended) itself from my mind and i can have some temporary freedom from my thoughts.

3. my friends simply existing around me. honestly, my friends could replace my family and i wouldn't even complain. i really can't remember a time where i've thought of my family as more of a safe space than my friends, even if the friendship ended up not working out. my friends are my number 2 safe space, right below drawing. i get to be myself with them, no matter how weird or rude i've been told i am. shout out to my friends :)

4. my room. i've never really been able to decorate my room much due to how small and just generally un-decorable it is, but it's a place where i don't have to worry about judgement. it's mine, and what i say goes. you go into my room, you obey my rules, and my number 1 rule is that no one but my immediate family and friends can go in here. i can't get hurt here, and it's where most of the stuff that brings me comfort is: my stuffies, my phone/drawing tablet, my bed, my art supplies, random knick-knacks, etc.

5. my pets, a.k.a my budgie 'preener' and my dog 'cash'. i've known my dog since i was about a year old, i've spent my whole life with him. i've watched him grow from a young, lively puppy that i could never keep up with, to an old, sick dog that i have to go far slower than i'm used to just so he isn't left behind on walks. sometimes, it makes me sad, because i know he's going to die soon, but, atleast he spent his whole life with a family that loved him. gave him food he liked and love, always gave him an excessive amount of pets, washed and trimmed him when needed, gave him dog beds... he grew up with two kids that adored him, that thought he was the best thing ever, that always petted him when they saw him. he knows we love him, and tha's enough for me. he's old, but he's still as happy as a puppy.

and my budgie... i don't know much about him, actually. we got him in 2022, i believe, and we got him from the streets. we don't know how old he is, if he's ill, but he seems happy with us. the longer we've had him, the more he trusts us - he's even started climbing onto our hands and letting us take him away from his perching spot! he's an asshole that's always pecking at us, yelling when he doesn't get our attention, and he's also an idiot (his full name is idiot preener for a reason after all), but he's my idiot and i love him. i hope i'll manage to get his full trust one day.

When someone lets me know about something they think is interesting - this can be something as small as "hey look at this cool rock I found", or it can be someone explaining a topic they're interested in in considerable depth. i LOVE it when all you amazing people share interesting things with me!

People responding to stuff i've put out in the world - whether that's a "you ok?" after a vent, or a "ooh that reminds me of this!" after a blurble, or a "but hear me out, what if this" after an idea - you're telling me that a REAL PERSON not only LISTENED but JOINED IN??!? amazing.

I have recently discovered that there's a gluten-free French bakery about 15min walk from my house, and i am DELIGHTED. you're telling me there's this dude who heard we can't eat croissants, and not only did he go "damn that sucks" he went and STARTED AN ENTIRE BAKERY ABOUT IT??!? and there's sourdough?! which i haven't got to try yet cos it's only baked a few times a week and it sells fast and i'm busy but there are also ham and cheese croissants. which are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS??!? granted, i am still suspiciously lacking in bagels specifically but I GET TO EAT CROISSANTS AGAIN AND THEY ARE DELICIOUS. this is a VERY good thing and i am VERY happy about it!

Bob Mintzer's piece Computer. The computer-y sections pop and bounce just like the inside of my brain and it's SO fun; and the opening chords never fail to bring a smile to my face. (It's now stuck in my head, which i'm looking forward to enjoying for the rest of the day!)

Silly bad jokes/puns. When someone gets me with the 'hi X, i'm name' or similar - like, fuck you (on principle) but I love it. and when i get someone in a similar way - it's just so good! another one that always amuses me is "where's my fucking [item]?" "over there next to your regular [item]" - you understand the style? yeah.

hi i just want everyone to know that i will never ever EVER be angry with anyone for not replying to my texts even though you’re visibly online and reblogging/posting. i understand that holding a conversation takes a lot more energy and effort than scrolling and posting and that’s 100% okay. take care of yourself first. the whole idea that you HAVE to reply to someone when you’re online is toxic and makes mentally ill people feel as though they are bad friends just because they can’t always reply within minutes.
