one of the most unrealistic things in trc imo is that there’s no hint of irish Lynch relatives descending on Henrietta en masse for Niall or Aurora’s funerals. like we as a people are obbsessed with funerals - everyone’s parents keep a constant eye on rip.ie, a site that’s a frequent cultural reference in irish memes, and we tend to go to wakes and funerals even if we don’t know the person all that well or haven’t seen them in years or they’re related or close to someone we know, even if we don’t know them personally. You don’t have to be invited personally to attend, we put out a notice and whoever wants to can come basically, and indeed if you don’t show face it can be considered rude or uncaring, unless the notice says house private, in which case it’s a more private ceremony. But even then any extended family typically goes along. Like did Declan discourage them from coming in a misguided attempt to give Ronan time to process after Niall’s death? That’s literally the only thing that makes sense to me and I can see that causing a lot of familial tension tbh. And also that may work once but I don’t see them not coming over when they lose a second parent so soon afterwards.

hey there - i have a bunch of asks to respond to and i want to use my actual brain to do it and not the fried lump i’m working with rn. still on that leaving the house before 9am and getting in at like 11:30pm minimum, working v long hours in between, until monday and still have to get through the work week until the friday after next, with a sleep deficit throughout. so yeah, not currently replying/keeping up with things, but maybe posting stuff if it comes to mind and i have a moment. at least im busy working on things i really like with people i like even if it’s a whole lot. see you all at the other side i guess and thanks for sending me asks and replies and all the rest, it’s really lovely and a shame my life is too hectic to fully engage. 

fyi in case anyone cares about this sort of thing i’m about to be super busy with work for the majority of my waking hours for the next 14-17ish days so i may or may not be a ghost here idek but just in case i am & anyone thinks i have disappeared/am being rude/am personally ignoring them my anxious brain thinks it’s a good idea to post this here notice that it’s all temporary and i will be resurrected in the v near future

You know what isn’t talked about enough? The scene in the Raven Boys, right after Ronan beats the crap out of Adam’s dad– Adam and Gansey are going to pick up Adam’s stuff, and Noah tells Blue that Ronan is at the library cramming for exams.

Ronan just got into an all out brawl and then he just….. Went to library to study. This right here shows how much he actually cares about Adam.

This is after Gansey tries pretty much everything to keep him in school and Ronan just does not care, they have bigger issues than school.

But this scene right here, Ronan going to study right now, shows that he’s not doing it for himself or for Gansey; he’s doing it for Adam. Because Adam just gave up everything, by pressing charges against his dad and keeping Ronan out of jail, and Ronan will be damned if he lets that be for nothing and that says so much about how much Ronan is willing to do for Adam.
