Hey, Rae, could we hear about your headcanons regarding the dark forest, please?

The first person to ask me about my hcs regarding how the dark forest works is in for a rude awakening because i will never stop talking about it tbh

Yesterday at work, I was wearing my Out of Print (tm) Redwall shirt and the person I was checking out complimented it :). They said they’d “never met someone who’d seen that show or read those books” and I told them Redwall is like my favorite thing. Shoutout to Sophia, it was exciting to meet you :)

One time, on my Instagram, I asked everyone to relate me to a character from and piece of media. My dear friend @lostmousemaid, being my Redwall friend, related me to Dotti from Lord Brocktree. It has been the highlight of my online presence ever since then.

Also, as a part of my recent #queer redwall project, I inform you that Dotti is queer. As any kin of mine, she must be.

Hello, my name is Rose, and I am starting a new project.

There are no explicitly queer characters in the Redwall stories, because I am fairly sure that Brian Jacques forgot we existed. This is quite unfortunate, but he was old, and just because we weren’t written doesn’t mean we weren’t there. I will write about my philosophy on Redwall headcanons soon enough, but the way I see it I am at liberty to point out the queer characters who were overlooked.

This is all to say that I have started tagging things #queer redwall, and I graciously invite you to contribute
