Could You Write Some Headcannons About Vox Machina Finding Out Their Oath Of Redemption Paladin S/O Used
Could you write some headcannons about Vox Machina finding out their Oath of Redemption Paladin S/O used to be a Bhaal worshiper?
Tw's - SPOILERS, mentions of death, being assigned to unalived a child, betrayal, I'm going all out on this one so beware of a lot of death and unaliving people so that's just a general thing here π§, mentions of manipulation, a power corrupted priest, lots of unaliving words, kinda rushed at the end but I'll probably rewrite it later π
Type - Head canons technically but they're basically bullet pointed stories π₯²
Genre - Angst with comfort
Comments - THE FIRST VOX MACHINA ASK ππ Of course nonnie π₯Ή Let the research commenceβ¨ From my research is that the S/O will be somewhat like Pike except that they will avoid actually unaliving people unless absolutely necessary, so this'll be interesting~ Let's just say that your secret was revealed while Vox Machina spoke with Osysa in season 2. Also, after realizing just how long Percy's was, I decided to split them all up-
Devil worshipper, or redemption seeker?
Pervical
- Percy has his own secrets, everyone knows this. But he shares almost everything with you because, and only because you're his partner
- And he wants you to share your secrets with him, as long as you're comfortable with sharing.
- Your darkest secret, the one you planned on taking to your grave was revealed by the Sphinx, Osysa.
- You could do nothing as she saw through you, to the deepest darkest parts of your soul when you once worshipped Bhaal and was willing to do as he said without hesitation
- She announced this to all of your friends, the people you cared deeply about and never wanted them to know about your past, but Osysa had to ruin that, didnβt she?
- Percy was still trying to wrap around was Osysa said to him before he questioned what she said to you, not fully believing what Osysa said, but knew she wasnβt lying when he saw that petrified look on your face.
- He felt betrayed, hurt, unsure of who exactly he fell in love with, who heβs shared his deepest secrets with, you were once a devil worshipper..? And a killer.?
- He didn't want to believe it, you were the kindest person in their band of misfits, the first one to try and deescalate a bar fight, the one to bandage anyone injured after said bar fight, hell you even try to negotiate with enemies even though you knew how badly it would end.
- So how could you, of all people, have worshipped Bhaal at some point in your life? He wanted to ask so many questions, but he was overcome by betrayal and slight anger that he just remained silent, the voices of his friends talking to Osysa melting together into a mind numbing buzz as he thought about the many reasons you might've kept this to yourself.
- Eventually, after entering the underwater tomb he asked to speak to you alone, and for you to come clean about your past. And you did You explained how you were once an assassin, a killer, a heartless monster who only wanted to worship a god who was corrupt, and the day you finally left that cult.
- You were told by one of the priests that Bhaal wanted an innocent child taken care of. They were supposedly a "god killing" child, and was a threat to Bhaal's life. However, that wasn't the truth at all. You were suspicious due to the target being a child, so you decided to eavesdrop on a private conversation of the priest and one of the other devout followers and learned the truth.
- The priest had committed an act of adultery and wanted the bastard child out of the picture, all because it would ruin their reputation and status. Normally, you wouldn't have cared in any other situation, you had been assigned to kill parents, grandparents, why was a bastard child no one wanted different?
- You didn't know, nor did you care, but the only thing you knew in that moment as you stood there listening to the priest laugh about the child was that all you could see was red.
- Everything was a blur after that, but when you refocused, there was blood everywhere, and so.. so many lifeless bodies around.. all you could do was fall to your knees with shakey hands, and sob.
- You stayed there sobbing on your knees for around an hour before collecting yourself, and walking out of the bloodied temple in your equally bloodied clothes. You didn't know where you were going, but you knew you wanted to get as far away from the bloodshed you caused and quickly.
- After travelling aimlessly for a few days, you came across a small and cozy home. You hadn't eaten for days, only stopping briefly to rest because it had become too hard to walk, just to wake up in a cold sweat after having a nightmare, but you reluctantly walked up to the cabin and knocked on the door softly, but hard enough for whoever was inside to hear you.
- The door opened after a small feminine voice yelled back βBe right there!β Followed by small thumps, the door opened to reveal a tabaxi. She was patterned like a snow leopard and had the kindest smile on her face as she gave you a once over, that smile turning into a look of concern. "A-are you hurt? Come inside, let me check you for any injuries." You didn't even have a chance to say anything as she grabbed your hand and pulled you inside, making you sit at what you would guess was her kitchen table.
- "I'm gonna go grab some bandages and healing ointments just in case, stay right there, I wouldn't want you to make your injuries any worse." You were.. stunned to say the least. She had taken one look at you and wanted to help, she didn't care if you were a stranger who could take advantage of her kindness, she just saw blood and felt the need to help you, even though it wasn't yours...
- She quickly came back with 3 rolls of bandages and a couple bottles of ointments, setting them down before turning towards you with a soft expression on her face. "I got the bandages and ointments, now, I need to check your for any wounds or injuries.." You knew what she was implying, but you didn't want to, and it showed with your conflicted expression.
- She thought originally that you were either uncomfortable with taking off your shirt or just embarrassed at the thought, but after thinking for a bit longer, she realized that you weren't holding any of your limbs to stop them from bleeding, nor were you hunched over in pain..
- Then the thought that this wasn't your blood crossed her mind. She took a small step back, her ears folding downwards as her tail flicks slightly. "T-this.. isn't your blood, is it..?" She asked very carefully, preparing herself to run should you try and attack her, but all she was met with was sobs coming from you.
- She immediately went to calm you down, and once you did, you told her your story. She was shocked to say the least, but she didn't judge you. You were blindly following a god, not that it excuses you for killing people. All you wanted to do was please your god, like many others have done in the past.
- Once you finished, she pulled up another chair from the dining table to sit and think, and it was just for a minute, but that minute felt like hours, all you could hear was the thumping of your heartbeat in your ears. After what felt like ages, she finally said something. "I'm sorry you went through all of this. You never deserved to be manipulated, to carry out the wishes for a supposed god, only to be carrying out the sins of a corrupted priest."
- She took a deep breath after her small rant, then continued. "I know how to help you with your guilt, and how to relieve you if your sins, but it is a long and harsh path. I would know, I've taken it myself." She gave you that same soft smile from before, with eyes that understood the guilt you burdened yourself with. You gave her a questioning look, silently asking her to continue, and so she did.
- "It's called the path of redemption, it is a very harsh like I said before, but well worth it in the end. So, what say you? Do you wish to accept my help?" She held a hand out to you, one so inviting and kind that it would almost be cruel to refuse. So you took it, wanting to feel your sins lifted off of your back.
- After you took her hand, she gave you a delicious meal and bed, as well as a change of clean clothes for when you finished. "Tomorrow, we will start your training." You spent the next few years learning to forgive yourself, to learn how to help convince people to change their ways and join you on this path of redemption through words and not violence. Only engaging when absolutely necessary, and even then you were only to subdue them or restrain them.
- You looked up at the sky as you finished your story, not daring to look at Percy out of fear that you'll see a look of anger, rage, disgust. But he wasn't looking at you with disgust, rage, anger. He was looking at you with a look of sadness, understanding, and compassion.
- Sadness because he hated how you were nearly manipulated into dispatching a god killing child, understanding because he knows how it is to be manipulated, and compassion because he knew you had gone through so much in less than 24 hours and even tried changing yourself for the better, and even succeeded at it. Others would've cracked under the pressure of the training you went under and never would've redeemed themselves.
- Neither of you spoke, the only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of the forest and your group of friends laughing and bantering by a crackling fire. You could feel your anxiety rise as you looked up at the dark sky, your mind racing as Percy just sat there in an uncomfortable silence.
- You were snapped out of your thoughts when Percy pulled you into a side hug, placing a hand on your head to lay it on his shoulder then started to lightly his fingers through your hair. You teared up slightly from the affection, not expecting it in the slightest after you had told Percy about the deepest darkest parts of your life.
- He knew you were a killer in the past, but he also knew that you had changed immensely since then. He didn't hate you for keeping this from him, the furthest thing from that. He understood why you kept it a secret, and promised that he wouldn't reveal your past to the rest of your friends until you were ready to.
- Eventually, the both of you returned to your group of friends who were bantering with one another. It was comforting, hearing them bickering amongst themselves.
- One day you'll tell them, and whether they choose to continue being your friend is up to them. But, you have a feeling that they won't care too much and will continue being your friends no matter what.

(3/3) they would be fine around Luke is something I agree with now that I think about it π€, he cried because the brothers wouldn't stop teasing him even though he told them to stop, they were asked to watch over him, he couldn't help but cry when they asked him, they comforted him but he apologised afterwards, they reassured him that he doesn't need to, they managed to cheer him up by going to buy cookies from a nearby bakery with Diavolo or Barbatos, they explained Diavolo & Barbatos about what happened, Diavolo is not amused about it while Barbatos entertained Luke, both Simeon & Diavolo lectures the brothers for hours, no one called him a chihuahua for the brothers would be in trouble if they (or Simeon or Diavolo) know about it, it takes a lot to upset Solomon & even then he would cover it up pretty well, what would probably upset him won't be so bad too, he would most likely be able to solve whatever problem he has so he won't need to be comforted, and even loneliness isn't so bad with his friends! Thank you so much for doing my request because I love it so much :)
I agree with your opinion Solomon after thinking about it so don't worry about it! I'm glad you didn't force yourself to do it! I also can see why Beelzebub would be hard to come up with π I love the brothers but they can take it too far π€ I'm sorry because I just realised I never stated that I'm just checking my idea with you first π Especially with how many characters I requested! I actually wanted to request 3 characters at once! I didn't intend to request so many characters at once π
Oh no- you're fine nonnie-
Writing for all of them minus the 2 was actually really fun lol. Feel free to request as many as you want π
Can we get the villain as a dad?

Comments - Awwww- It's been a little bit since someone requested him π₯Ή
πThe Villainπ
π 2nd best dad
π 1st obviously goes to Dominik but shhhh
π He loves playing with the kid, ESPECIALLY, hide and seek, tag, or some other games
π He's a pretty decent teacher as well
π He's also pretty goofy so the kid basically has a smile on their face the entire time
π Not the best at comforting but does his best (with lollipops for some reason??-)
π The kid, if related to their father, has his love of hot dogs, no further comments your honor
π The kid is probably out in a private school or is home schooled
π More than likely in a private school though because he wants them to make friends π₯Ή
π He's the kind of father to tell his child to sock their bully in the nose if they keep bothering them or put their hands on them
π Then would confidently take them out for ice cream afterwards
π He does know when to discipline them however
π Like if they decide to get any bright ideas with some of their father's gadgets and messes with them even though they were told many, many times not to
π Mostly sends them to their room or explains very carefully why they can't play with it if they're younger
π If they're older he'll pull out a chalkboard, a desk and chair, a notebook with a pencil, and make them take notes as to why they can't play around with his gadgets
π Why? Just to get his point across and make sure to "torture" them enough so they never want to pick one up ever again
π He even quizzes them if it was a particularly dangerous one
π His child comes first, even before his villainous profession
π If they're sick, he won't do that bank heist today
π There's a field trip? Where's his fanny pack, he's chaperoning
π Spoils the child, not to the point where they're rotten, but just enough to make sure they live a comfortable life until they decide what they want to do
π For example, if they want to be like their dad, he'd react in 1 of 2 ways
π Number 1, he would be very excited and would start teaching them how to give a perfect speach
π Number 2, he would discourage it. Why you might ask? Because he doesn't want their child to become like him, and outcast, someone that other people hate, someone who feels the need to be the bad guy in order to get their point across somehow
π He does his best to redirect the child to something as similar to his job as possible if you're imagining something closer to number 2
π Solid 7/10 dad <33
Hey, so was wondering if you write some headcannons about Keyleth and a Warforged Fighter, and have it be kind of like a mother/child relationship. If you need something to go off of, basically she and the rest of Vox Machina found it busted up while traveling, and she helped it using druid magic. I dunno, sounded kinda cool
Tw's - Mentions of alcohol, basically an abandoned child π, possible abuse??, Scanlan being Scanlan, overprotective mama Keyleth because of Scanlan if you so please, me not knowing Warforged anatomy because there wasn't anything helpful online π
Genre - Fluff
Type - Head canons
Comments - AWWWWW πππ Now, I have no clue what a Warforged fighter is so I'll be doing a lot of research on it. If anything is wrong PLEASE tell me and I'll correct it as quickly as possible π€§
Don't worry, mama's here
- It all started when Vox Machina were travelling together to the next town over when Vex had heard sparks, and what sounded like metal grinding against metal.
- They were confused, and decided to send Vex, Percy, and Keyleth to investigate the sounds.
- It didn't take too long before they found a small, humanish shaped clump of metal, sparks flying out of it's side. The metal grinding against metal was it trying to move it's legs which were covered in rust, as well as other parts of its body.
- It was sad.. the poor thing couldn't even see, its eyelids being rusted shut.
- Keyleth accidentally stepped on a twig when trying to get closer to the small, child-like, Warforged startling herself, Vex, Percy, and the aforementioned Warforged.
- It attempted to speak, their voice coming out in squeaks and scrapes, "W-who's t-t-there...?"
- The voice was quiet, but the forest was quiet enough for the small group to hear the poor thing try to speak.
- Keyleth kneeled down Infront of the small automaton with a kind smile on her face, even though they couldn't see it.
- "My name is Keyleth, but you can call me Kiki for short. What's your name?" She asked in a sweet voice.
- The small automaton answered in kind, but with a small scratchy voice. It sounded like its voice box was either damaged or rusted as well, and no one knew why it was rusted, possibly beaten, then just left here to face the elements.
- Keyleth felt bad for it, and looked towards Percy, silently asking if he could help them. Percy was a bit hesitant, but with the help some puppy eyes from Keyleth the white haired artificer relented and offered his help to the small Warforged.
- They were hesitant, skeptical, but accepted the help. The 3 called Grog over so he could carry the automaton to the next closest town.
- During the next few hours of travel, Keyleth started talking to the Warforged about their adventures, telling them many stories, some adventurous, while some are funny and light hearted.
- Scanlan attempted to tell one of his.. "adventures" in the bedroom before Keyleth gave him a dark glare, silently warning him to not even dare in front of the child-like machine.
- He immediately shut up and quickly walked away from Keyleth, slightly afraid to anger her again.
- After some odd hours, they reached the town as the sun started to set in search of an inn to rest. Unfortunately, they didn't get to drink much, if anything at all while Percy did his best to fix the dents, scraps, gashes, and try to remove any rust that was left over, mostly focusing on the eyes so they could see where they were and wouldn't panic too much about any loud noises such as yelling or banging.
- It took a little bit of elbow grease (as well as some help from a passerby who gave some advice) and voila! The small Warforged could see again!
- They were happy, yes, but also a little startled at the sudden light and faces. The first person they took a good look at was Keyleth, almost as if they knew that she was the first person who spoke to them.
- There was adoration, wonder, and a warmth in their robotic eyes you would never expect from a Warforged.
- They didn't say anything to Keyleth, instead allowing Percy to take a look at their voice box (I'm guessing here, correct me if I'm wrong at any point-) so he could fix the scratching sound in their voice when they talk.
- As Percy worked, you would occasionally look at Keyleth, but would quickly look away if she looked at you.
- After about 15-20 minutes, Percy was finally done. He did what he could to make your voice less scratchy, but just enough for you to speak without feeling like you were eating heavily rusted nails.
- Percy had you say a few things to test your voice and see if he needed to make any adjustments, but everything went well! You could speak just fine, and the first thing you said was directed at Keyleth, "You're really nice, and pretty."
- Everyone at the table just looked at you like you grew a second head! Well, everyone but Keyleth.. she was on the verge of happy tears. . . probably because she was in the middle of a drinking contest with Grog when you said that, and she's a pretty emotional drunk.
- She quickly placed down her very large mug of beer and hugged you tightly. She basically adopted you from that moment on, and the small Warforged joined her and Vox Machina in their adventures to come!
(2/3) Beelzebub is decent, his way of comforting involves food or Belphegor, he would take them to their favourite restaurant to order their favourite food, he would be good at listening but can't give advice so he consults Belphegor or Lucifer, he may not know what to do but I love that he tries, why Diavolo isn't very good with how busy he is & with little interaction with other people makes so much sense, he would try to summon Barbatos if he's available, he would end up taking a break by having a tea party with them, they get to talk to him while he gets a break so it's a win-win, I definitely agree that Barbatos is on the lower tier because of how busy he would be, he would be stressed out so he's not as understanding as he would be normally, he would make it up to them by making tea & snacks during his break, he won't give the best advice due to how tired he is, he's much better on a good day, he would be willing to listen & give good advice, he would take a break & take them to the gardens to let them make flower crowns while venting to him, making flower crowns sounds like something he would do to me too, he doesn't mind them plucking the flowers so much since he knows a spell to replace it, he even offers to bake something with them, Simeon having a calming aura as an angel is something I definitely agree with, they feel relaxed around him,
Barbs was a bit of a tough one but after a bit I knew where I was going lol
And I don't think many people remember how much work comes with being a prince either but poor baby is doing his best π
