why d0 y0u p0st th3 sk3l3t0ns b3f0r3 th3 actual thingS?

well theres two reasons really, the one which i guess has taken more of an effect is to give my followers vague knowledge of whats coming next, and maybe catch the attention of a new tumblr user

another one which has not been successful but i still quietly hope for is that someone will be inspired by it and maybe use the skeleton as a prompt or something

Neoanthos, More Commonly Called A Palm Flower, Are Small Knee Organisms Which Are The Only "plants" Which

neoanthos, more commonly called a palm flower, are small knee organisms which are the only "plants" which arent part of the fungal mat on the fungal steppe, they are part of a very common clade on ngiu◗ where the moss is in a symbiotic relationship with mycolignum, which acts as a stem and root, they have evolved to create pollen with the shell being a mycolignum seed and the inside being pollen of the mosses palm flower, it is theorized they were brought to the fungal steppe on the petagium of the ancestor of gliding clickers through a large amount of pollen which created a sustainable population to evolve to the niche on the fungal steppe, they have a bioluminescent green cap on the top of the "flower" which they use to attract syrup uking, their roots infest the mycoarbor which make up the fungal steppe like a parasite, though theres not much they can do about it, if you have any questions at all regarding this organism please dont be afraid to ask im more than happy to answer

Myrmitrogon, More Commonly Called A Toxic Piercer, Are A Rare Kind Of Centauroid Who Have Shrunk Every

myrmitrogon, more commonly called a toxic piercer, are a rare kind of centauroid who have shrunk every one of their fingers except their middle one, of which supinates and can be used to pick up eggs of other seelenlos, the other two remain as small spurs which contain potent venom which it uses to ward off oviparents that attack during its theft, this venom makes the victims muscles all loosen so its similar to a ragdoll, they also will eat the tough moss on table willows, they have evolved to look indistinguishable from the plectomoss in the eyes of the other ostomesa, with their pleaural lungs being easily hideable with their arms, eyes almost the exact same colour as their fur and the rare uncommon ability to press their klariech against the back of their skull, their archeina has branches similar to early telluric feathers, which lets them dampen sound that hits them, this means their venom is never their first choice if their preys oviparent wakes up, instead choosing to camouflage than attack, since the ngiu◗ite nights are darker than any on telluria or dumuno due to its thick atmosphere this lets them be almost unnoticeable even to organisms with advanced hearing and sight, when the ◗ta tried training these seelenlos to farm their venom they lost them many times and after enough personal losses they were hunted out of any invasive environments they were found in, including the ◗ta societies, the teeth of toxic piercers are specialized to break the leathery shell of ostomesa eggs, ◗ta scholars have noticed when it deals with certain prey like the eggs of the carnivores of the fungal steppe and the herding grazing beaks they will use their venom to neutralize the oviparent before pushing them out of the way to get their eggs, if you have any questions regarding this venomous centauroid please dont be afraid to ask im more than happy to provide answers

Malakosdentro, More Commonly Called A Table Willow, Are Protruding Tree Like Structures Which Are Found

malakosdentro, more commonly called a table willow, are protruding tree like structures which are found usually in the middle of a fungal plate, the moss grows slowly and steadily until it grows into a table like tree, though their height is only 4 feet, being more bush height than anything, they are still one of the biggest things to ever exist on the fungal steppe, the moss which makes up their trunk is tough and strong and curls around itself to create the trunk, the moss on top of the table willow is spongy and rich in nutrients, it takes years to grow to their maximum size, the inside of them are filled with tree worms and nudibranch mice, and the outside is usually covered in pontrogons, which take advantage of the tree worms young leaving the tree to find a new tree, the table willows moss is the most ammonia rich moss on the entire steppe, meaning the plousiostroo which feed on them exclusively when they are fully grown will never need to seek ammonia rich spots of moss to feed on, the middle of the table willows are where syrup uking make their nests to sleep during the day since there arent any predators which can eat them up there, if you have any questions about this organism please dont be afraid to ask im more than happy to answer

how do you chose a name for your organisms? what language are they? because I remember a name that had a • (I think that want the symbol but it's the most similar in my keyboard) and it was my first time seeing it

honestly i barely had a system, i used to just go into google translate latin and greek type two or however many things i had plans for in the organism and then just put them together, and for a fair few until the shadow forest thats what most of them will be like, i did figure out how to do systematic names though so for the shadow forest itll be like that, and the common names is a little hard since i have a two word system with traits about them, like "flaming canid" dog like thing that can use fire, or for a more recent example "tree mouse" is a mouse like thing that spends all its time around trees, its gotten harder to do things like that, also i make conlangs basically entirely separate from their names [minus maybe a place or something], the one with the hemispheres ◖ and ◗ is a language for ngiu◗ called ewar, and then theres another one for dumuno called vivo, since i have made stories for every planet before and after i made ecosystems for them, conlangs being made up languages ofc, but yeah

Petagmakolimpri, More Commonly Called A Gliding Clicker, Have A Misleading Common Name, Though To A Telluric

petagmakolimpri, more commonly called a gliding clicker, have a misleading common name, though to a telluric they seem similar to flying squirrels which can only glide, gliding clickers and related organisms have the full capability for powered flight, though the gliding clicker specifically prefers gliding though is perfectly capable of flying, just choosing gliding due to their environment being more attuned for a jump and a glide to another fungal plate/food, though if a predator is chasing them they will resort to flight, they have echolocation, which is the loudest sound you can hear during the fungal steppes nights, which gave them their name, if they are woken during the day they will keep their central eye closed to avoid going blind as during the night their central eye is their best way of sensing the environment after hearing, they feed on the nutrient rich petalmoss of the fruit spire, similar to all petagiformes they have evolved their plural lungs to their neck to avoid covering them with their petagium, their teeth get sharper the closer to the front they get, going from somewhat flat and dull at the very back to thin sharp almost clipper like teeth at the front, they use these to slowly chop up the petalmoss to swallow, they are quadrupedal though unlike most other ngiu◗ite quadrupeds they dont do anything with the freed up pair of limbs, only using them as part of their wings during flight, making them dead weight on the ground and an important aspect to their locomotion in the air, when they find a mate they will try to impress them with songs, coordinated airshows, and gifts, some gliding clickers even offer to be the oviparent, since being an oviparent is a disadvantage it means passing on their genes, and since their life span is only around 10 ngiu◗ite years [12 telluric years] they are willing to pass on their genes in any way they can in their late years of maturity, if you have any questions about this organism i am more than happy to answer
