what is speculative zoology?
speculative zoology is a broad subject that can mean anything from alien life to alternate/future evolution but lots of other things, in my case its alien life but i have dabbled into future evolution for my own enjoyment, but in the case of this blog its alien life, the only one in this blog right now, dumuno, is super earthlike biology wise, however that is for less scientific reasons since the universe the planets are in has a story to it id hope to tell the world one day, and not getting to far into it dumuno is supposed to be deceptively earth like, im sorry if this wasnt helpful, i do this as a hobby and im not that good at it but its fun for me, theres a subreddit called r/speculativeevolution which could explain it better than me, i hope this helped!

hey, youre probably wondering, where is the posts for the nocturnal fungal steppe organisms? the answer is, i havent had time to write them all due to personal junk, so for a bit this blog will be pretty quiet, same with my sideblog, mostly just likes and occasional reblogs and thats it, so yeah, but dw there will definitely be something on this blog by midjune
personal life has gotten less busy, i havent had much time for creature creation but i can answer any questions

Update
I have been progressing since my personal life got less restrictive, however its still going to take awhile since i like to have the next ecosystem done before i finish the current one, which is going to be a little difficult since the mountain [the ecosystem im working on right now] is more diverse than the fungal steppe, i will however say the midjune deadline might be an overshoot, i could be done by the end of may or earlier, but we'll see

yeah almost done the fungal steppe which i'll then be posting but i have writers block so who knows, right now i have about 3 left so it should be really soon, thank you to everyone for waiting

well theres two reasons really, the one which i guess has taken more of an effect is to give my followers vague knowledge of whats coming next, and maybe catch the attention of a new tumblr user
another one which has not been successful but i still quietly hope for is that someone will be inspired by it and maybe use the skeleton as a prompt or something
