Ohhh I hate to say it so much but for as thorough as I am about everything to come from this movie… this is the ONE image that has stumped me as well. I’ve dug around for this one A LOT and I’ve even sent out a batch of emails to people looking for a source!

The most I can tell you is that this illustration is very likely to be official… probably a piece of the movie that just wasn’t ultimately used for promotion all over. The main artists who made promotional illustrations for the movie were E. Sciotti and Malinowski, so there’s a high chance it was drawn by one of them if it’s all for real (My money would be on Sciotti since he did more than one drawing for them). That’s really all I have! Unless someone gets back to me, though I’ve been waiting a pretty long time for that… maybe I’m due for some follow-ups.

If I’m lucky maybe sometime I can update this post to say I found the source!

really nervous to post this lol but here's my Electric Dreams/robot version of mu main OC Iggy :) This was originally for an Electric Dreams AU (she basically took the role of Edgar) but I've started using her for a lot more than just that. This took me 10+ hours to do and I'm really proud of it. Partially inspired by Edgar's dream scene from the movie. I'll post more of her sometime if people like it. Also she's a eMachines eOne :) (I forgot to watermark this but please don't use my OC's for anything without my permission!! she is very dear to me)

since 2001: a space odyssey is canon to freakazoid (clip under the cut), i think these two are besties… bonding over the shared hobby of being an all-knowing but insane computer-dude.

Drew this some time ago as a New Year’s sign to put outside the door at my job (cropped so you cannot find my job. sorry edgarheads.). The place is super big on 60s-80s stuff so it fits right in with my interests… I love doing chalk signs <3 I’ve made another electric dreams one in the past but I don’t have a photo of it anymore.
