I haven’t watched the whole show, so my judgement might not be 100% accurate, but the parts of the show i watched just kinda felt, idk, lifeless? The books just had so much heart to them, when i first read them as a kid i read all 5 books in a week because i just couldn’t put them down. This was the first fandom that got me reading fanfics, and i think i re-read the actual books like 20 times over, while i can barely get through half an hour of the show.
Idk, im happy for anyone who could genuinely enjoy this adaptation, but i just can’t imagine ever feeling anywhere close to the same excitement for this show as i felt for the books
Rick Riordan constantly trashing the movies for not sticking to his books then releasing a show in which he rewrites everything and loses the spirit of the books entirely
